This is definitely an upgrade on most foam stamps. You got so much great detail in your stamps! 4 years later and it's still very current and on trend. Thank you for sharing.
I bought some foam sheets a year ago when I had an idea for a background stamp. Sheets came in a packet of 20. It was so addictive to make them. I glued some on toilet paper roles, they fit perfectly on a small foam roller I have.
Thank you for sharing and reminding me of my stash of foam stamps I've made. Once you get started, they are are so fun and addicting to make. I use plastic bottle lids from juice bottles, milk bottles, pb&j jars, etc., to mount the foam on. I usually double the foam to make it thicker. The lids give you something to hang onto while stamping. Thin cardboard pieces are great for being able to bend the foam stamp.
GI, I think you are amazing! Not only with the ideas, you come with, but your designs were very good. My gosh, they look like they are store-bought - especially that feather! oh my gosh, I loved that! You are so kind to share all your great ideas. Thank you so much for your videos. you have a happy day!
I love you right now 😂😂 wish I had seen this hundreds of dollars ago. Now I know better! I'm chomping at the bit to go buy some foam sheets. Thank you so much!!!
Thank you for sharing such a great idea. The possibilities are endless and if you have a die cutting machine, the skies the limit as you could cut any foam shape with it! Brilliant.
Originally when heard this was possible I imagined you would have to use an exact knife and carve the design in but NO you showed us a real clever way to do it.Thank you so much Gi
I think you should do stamps and stencils professionally. I love how your mind works. Very creative. Very different and not at all run of the mill. Thank you for this. It was inspiring.
My granddaughter is coming to visit for a week. This idea is a brilliant way to have a lot of fun at Nana's house. Looking forward to seeing what she creates. (Now I just need to find my bottle corks) :) Thank you for sharing these wonderful ways to make our own stamps.
You're on a creative roll, Gi! Amy over at the channel, al john, taught me an easy way to add a handle to homemade stamps like these. Just attach a piece of tape so that both ends are attached to the back of the stamp and the middle is folded over itself, pointing straight up in the middle. If that doesn't make sense, just search her channel. She has a lot of videos on how to DIY stamps, and almost every other craft item you can imagine. These stamps of yours are lovely; I especially like the feather and the paisley. Now, excuse me, I have to go dig out my foam. ~ Lisa
I love love love the feather and the paisley, but the other simple ones , we don’t realise how often we need or use them , this is a great video thank you ☺️
I love this idea! Since I like clear stamps, I'm going to try using Dollar Tree chopping mats instead of cardboard strips. They're a little flexible, but I might use 2 layers. And recycle some foam tray material. Like you said, the possibilites are endless! Thank you so much!
Making the stamps is as much fun as Using them for art! I have quit a few stamps i have purchased but the diy stamps are some of my favorite. a wonderful tutorial!
Thank you for sharing with us your "secrets". You are one amazing artist I relay love your work and I would be so happy if I ever win one of your giveaways.
Oh my.....I somehow missed this one. I love this idea Gi. My favorites are the feather and the paisley. All handmade & originals. Love it. Gotta make some now. Yes, the possibilities are endless. I'd like to make some as backgrounds. Be well, be safe & TYFS
Love them I got a basket full too, on a larger scale though as made them for mixed media and gel printing. Thanks for reminding me to get them out and have a play. Such fun tfs x
I just love seeing people whose videos I watch, in the comment sections of other videos I'm watching. 🙂 Gel printing! Yes, that's exactly why I want to make some of these stamps. Less precious than using stencils, which I find hard to clean after a gelli plate session.
Awesome!!!! Off to my craft room. I happen to have a whole packet of foam I bought for another project, but I have plenty left. Great ideas. Thank you for sharing.
Gosh fabulous you are brilliant iv ordered some stentcils but these will be great for my junk journal 😁 thank you im also trying to find your sippet video im new to your videos 😁
This looks fun! Could you do a video showing things you made using these stamps, please? I would make a bunch but not know what or how to use them on a project. I can picture a mini or pocket journal made using these stamps with all those pretty colors but again, my mind draws a blank on how to actually create it or make it come to life, if that makes sense. Thank you...🙂
Wow! Wonderful idea! I like all of the stamps you showed. I love the feather and the pot & cactus , cork heart stamps! Great tutorial! TFS - Hugs, Christal
This video should come with a warning. This CAN become quite addictive hahaha. It's just a fun way to spend the day. It would be great to do with kids too. Another idea I learned from another lady is to make a full page of background stamp. I think she put the foam pieces on cardboard, like from a regular cardboard box because you need something sturdy and go crazy. Her idea and what I did too was to make a lot of rectangles, small ones, big ones , some with more rectangles in them, all done like frames so you could add designs inside them or leave them open. It was fun to make and looked really cool, but honestly I ended up cutting the whole thing into smaller individual stamps. And then I had a puzzle Woo Hoo hahaha. I do love the stamps you've made though, much prettier and made a lot better then my shaky hands could do. 😁

I too have a stash of that foam from when my son was in grade school (he's 40 now)! Thanks for sharing this idea.
So sweet of you. Thanks.
Stamp-making and stamping is so much fun! I make cool painty papers with them out of old magazines. I wish your channel had more of such videos.
