The best part about using the plastic jugs is that you can see through it so you know exactly where your stamp is lining up. I love this! Thanks so much for sharing. I’m looking forward to making some stamps now.
This video was great because I plan to make my own stamps as well. I'm trying to make not-too-junky junk journals for my friends and think it's important that I use personal touches that mean something to me AND them. Recently I made drawings of their initials using loose strokes and was going to make stamps out of them. Thankfully, I watched your video. They would have come out backwards had a turned them into stamps! Back to the drawing board!
I’ve watched several videos now on making foam stamps and I found yours to be clear and practical and I love your stamps. Thank you. I’m going to subscribe now ❤
Foam core board works excellent with the fun foam, l use double sided tape on it to adhere the fun foam shapes and designs to it. You can cut the foam core board to any size and shape using a box cutter or utility scissors and they hold up very well. If you have a Dollar Tree store in your area you can get big sheets of it of course for a dollar and can make a lot of stamps off of one board. Sometimes the tape wants to stick to the paper when applying pressure while stamping, here is a hint to prevent that : take a dried out baby wipe and pat the stamp to it and it will prevent it from sticking to your paper the fibers off of the baby wipe dull the exposed adhesive . Happy crafting!
I just want to say a huge THANK YOU. As a total newbie, not only did I learn something about creating and resourceful options for doing this wonderful prints, you have saved me so much money in not having to order a hundred different stamps from these companies. AND I can now custom make the shapes I want, specifically to the project or concept I’m trying to do. This video has been a TREMENDOUS help. I just subbed and look forward to more tips and tricks from your lovely channel. This is a Godsend, especially for Beginners! I’m totally INSPIRED!! ❤❤🎉❤❤😊
Very good tips! I like the idea of using cardstock and the removable tape on the acrylic block. I have been making stamps from dies but was having some problems using sticky back foam with more intricate dies. I will try using the plain foam and the acrylic blocks! 5anks!
I saw an artist on YT using die cut fun foam to make stamps....she advised using two layers of foam die cuts glued together begore mounting on block ( her hubby was carpenter and made wood blocks for her)
Thanks for sharing these great stamp ideas, using the milk container seems to work quite well or the harder plastic covers, I will try these your video is very helpful thanks again.
Hello, absolutely loved your video. I' m a newby to stamp making and I am struggling with cutting rubber... so thanks to you, a can make beautiful stamps your way. After seeing your video, made a bee line to Walmart to get the thin foam sheets. They've gone up a little (from under a dollar to slightly more. So excited until I got home and opened...did you find the foam sheets had a weird smell, like the smell of Formaldehyde, which is a carcinogen. What say you?
Glad I could inspire you! I didn't notice any smell actually. I wonder if they have changed something? as I smell the ones I have I notice nothing, but of course I have had them out of the package for some time.
Hi there, i know i saw this about 2 yrs ago, but i forgot to make these foam stamps, i am wondering what is the thickness of the foam sheets, are they about 1/16" or 1/8" thick, i know one thing, the price has really shot up, like everything else, thanks.
I realize I'm seeing your video 2years and a half after it was posted !!! I give my question a try, nevertheless ! Do you ever clean your stamps ? If yes, what to you use for that. I guess you can't really stamp with a different and lighter color than black without smearing the print. Thanks if you have any tip to add to your well researched video !
Sometimes I clean my stamps with a baby wipe, but mostly I just remove as much ink as will come off by stamping on a bit of scrap paper. with the handmade ones I try and make doubles, use one for black and another for color because yes the black will always remain just a little. Hope that helps
An oldie but a goodie video, great inexpensive creative ideas! ❤👍🏻

I enjoyed watching your video-very “think out of the box” ways to make stamps - thank you- I’m a first time subscriber -👍. Margy
Thanks so Much!
Wonderful video...can these stamps be used with acrylic paint?
Yes! But just like a rubber stamp the foam needs to be cleaned very well after use. If the paint dries on the foam it won't stamp well if at all.

"Thanks 4 this!.👌
Also what size of acrylic block would you recommend?
A block large enough to fit the entire stamp. You need to be able to press down firmly on all parts of the stamp.
Can you use the stamp onto wood?
Could you attach the stamp to wood? yes and I have done that with wooden blocks bought at Michael's. They would great that way!

@@Kagedfish Thanks a lot... good idées ! 🙏
Qual as dimensões dos seus carimbos? E como conseguir os desenhos??
the stamps are an inch to three inches. I just draw the images free hand or trace from a template.
You and I both like triangles I see! ;-)
👍👍👍❤️
You and I have traded collage pictures on Facebook.
I don't think I have traded any collage pictures?
