I own this exact model and love it! I am on my second Rogue. I have had no issues. I know ppl like to complain about the CVT transmission but honestly if you take care of your Rogue it will be just fine. Just make sure you change the transmission fluid as stated in your drivers manuals. Most ppl who complain about their CVT going bad never changed their transmission fluid. Yes the Rogue has no speed but honestly if your looking for speed why are you looking at a family safe SUV anyway? My Rouge does just fine on the highway. If I want to pass someone its very easy, just gas it and go.
I agree, this is basically a very comfortable and safe family wagon. If I want an exciting performance drive, we have a couple of sports coupes in the family. Otherwise a road trip or morning commute is very pleasant in the Rogue and it gets me to the ski resort safely.
I've been watching/reading as many reviews as possible. Honestly this is one of the best in talking about & showing not only the options in this model, but comparing it to the S & SV which is much appreciated. Very helpful!
I have owned Subaru, Toyota and a couple others. The rogue has the best all wheel drive/ lock system I ever ever used. This was the worst winter in Ontario in decades. I used my rogue to pull out a stuck 4x4 Jeep. I will never buy an other make in my life.
Just got the SV Trim with Moonroof & tech package. Thought it was a better buy than the 2017 Honda CRV. For features such as rear cross traffic alert, heated steering wheel, pano moonroof all in the mid level trim vs Touring on the CRV.
Same here, Calvin. Buying one for my wife; we drove the SV with moonroof and tech package first. We hadn't driven the 2017 Honda CRV for over a mile before she said "ok, I'm done. Let's go get the Rogue". :) She has back problems, and she LOVES the driver's seat in the Rogue.
Keith Ledbetter same here. I have back issues and the Rogue drivers seat is fantastic. Lumbar support helps but the shape of the seat is the main reason. I can drive long distances without my back getting sore.
Yeah that driver's seat is the best in the segment. Just bought one myself, and really like it, despite the CVT fact. After driving RAV4, TUSCON, and the other competitors, 2017 Rouge felt and looked more like a German made (my other car is BMW 1 series).
Just got a great deal on a 2019 rogue. I love them and the cvt. It is our 2nd rogue. I find in sports mode that it has plenty of get and go to pass people. It is not a freakin Porsche people.
One question: Does Nissan supply a passenger to ride with you to pump gas when you stop for gas? Put the damn gasoline intake on the CORRECT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE, the DRIVER'S side, like they do with the Murano. I just won't by a vehicle with the intake on the wrong side.
I used to feel that way, but then I switched to a vehicle w/ the filler on the passenger side. It's a few extra steps but I like not having to worry about parking too close to the island and being careful with opening my door. There are pros and cons. If there were a "correct" side most of the Japanese and European vehicles should swap sides.
alan30189 own one; I do agree it is an annoyance, but I like the vehicle enough to overlook it. The biggest deciding factor, beyond price, was the roominess and cargo area. Because it is one of the longest in this segment, you get good front, back and cargo space.
I never understand this complaint. My Mazda 5 has the gas cap on passenger side. I prefer the driver side be further from the pump for many safety reasons. What's the big deal walking around the vehicle to gas up? Check your tires during the walk.
Most vehicles in this class will be similar in terms of driving dynamics if not not, in the future. People want better fuel economy so CVT's will be the norm. The looks will also become very similar because of aerodynamics in my opinion.

Just got a 2017 Nissan Rogue Midnight Edition love it👌 😎
I love the way the BOSE subwoofer is actually part of the spare tire
I upgraded this from an Altima SR and Jesus Christ i never thought I would say the Rogue has better shift points

Cant go wrong!

Thanks y'all! Test driving soon & was interested in comparing seat comfort for back issues! I wish more reviews covered this in more depth.

Its official nissan rogue beat crv and rav4 in sales. (Fab - March 2017) Congrats! 😍🤤

Wonderful video !
I really appreciate how you are so thorough . Will definitely subscribe
What if the CVT had become mainstream first? You probably have to complain about the jerkiness of the shifting.
Great car! But I'm going to wait for the 2018 Rogue
6:45 I have a base model and it has AWD.
awsome vehicle
Some people are always compelled to complain about something. It’s in their nature. I call them keyboard terrorists.
The cry about everything ..
Never pleased.
how does this compare to the 2017 hyundai tucson 1.6 Limited?
standard heated seats isn't standard I own a s model
it would look better without that blunt chrome frame on the front.
Just to be clear were you quoting CAD $?
+Henry Ford yes. CAD $.
Of the automatic transmission. Left that part off.
What?? There's no leather available for the sv trim!
never has been. but at least its heated cloth
Vic da G Yes but he said that leather is optional for the SV trim

no hybrid for Canada?
Nope
Cool
If they don't replace or put a stronger engine on this rogue, there is no reason to buy it over a 2017 crv 1.5t or a forester 2.0t.
Average I know in this scares me I already have a Nissan Altima I don't want nothing that's too slow then a car already have
car makers are doing a lot to make their cars as fuel efficient as possible, and then gives you a remove starter...
Under powered with a CVT. That chrome V in the front is disgusting.

the host is not a gifted speaker.... check out driven car reviews and compare the two hosts
Bland and invokes no emotion. This is a Walmart minivan of the 2010s. Shows what type of brand Nissan is.
Josh Lee and then there's GT-R
Josh Lee Just got the new Rogue and it is not even close to a Wal-Mart vehicle. Very nice car.
