My X girlfriend got into a BMW m3 first time around the wet skidpad at the BMW factory ( with the traction control on) She drifted the car consistently. I went wide.
Good she is X now... Not many guys would be able to cope with humiliation like that, glad you didn't do anything stupid.
Krzysztof Krawczyński She spun out in are jeep in the rain. I took her to a parking lot in the snow and showed her how to counter steer. The rest is history.

Mind I say, the drifts looked like a normal vehicle going through a corner with a bit of oversteer in the end.
Motor trend gave the drift mode a C- and said "terrible", seems about right.
Looks like loads of fun. Pity that due to the enormously wide center stack, there is practically no room up front. Heavens, there is more front and rear legroom in a Honda Jazz. Anyway, your mum was a great sport!
