We are going back to VN in a couple of weeks to see Nha Trang and I will ride the Ha Giang Loop as we didn't see those on our first visit, and of course our favourite two cities, Danang and Hanoi. We aren't fussed on Saigon, but we agree the food tour on the back of motorcycles was a highlight. We are older so Hanoi and all it's street food and egg coffees are more our thing.

Having moved from Australia to Vietnam 3.5 years ago you guys have just scratched the surface of places to see. Unlike Aussie and the vast distance between anywhere Vietnam has much more to see than what’s promoted by the normal travel agent both back home or even here in Vietnam. 1 month in vietnam is never enough and for me in 2015 6 months packing around wasn’t enough either. I’m still finding new places and experiences even after 3.5 years living here.. keep living your dream and keep the videos coming 👍✌🏻
Hello Mandy and Lloyd....great wrap up of your time in Vietnam, it's a "bucket list" destination for me, Bali will come first following the Covid hiatus...trust you're enjoying Singapore, will check out your podcast soon...cheers Gaz (WA)
This has definitely made Jay and I want to do Vietnam even more so!!! Thanks for sharing :) this will be on our list for one of our travels very soon!!
It's good to know your top 5 places to visit in Vietnam. I visited Hanoi 2 times but didn't know about the train track in Old Town. That's one of unique places I'd like to visit when I'll be there next. Thanks for showing it in your video. I heard a lot about Pho Quoc Island. Visit this place if you ever come back to Vietnam. I haven't been there yet, but will try to stop by for a few days in September. Have a great time in your next city! Stay safe and stay healthy!
@Vietnam Travel - Incredible Asia Journeys we’ll be in Ho Chi Minh city for 4 days in late September, then 3 days in Phu Quoc island. What should we do in Phu Quoc? Thanks!

Hi, big fan of you guys. You video quality is excellent, as is your editing. May I enquire to what camera you use, what editing software and also, the big question, do you do your own editing? Thanks in advance for your time.
If you come back, you will go to Ban Gioc Waterfall, Ma Pi Leng, Ha Giang, Phong Nha Ke Bang, Hang Son Doong, Da Lat, Phu Quoc... I always follow you two and look forward to coming back to my country soon.

Thank you for the sharing your top five. I am Vietnamese living in the US and I haven’t been to Ha Noi, Ha Long Bay, and Sapa. I will definitely visit next time I go to Vietnam after watching your video. If you ever return to Vietnam definitely check out the Floating market in Can Tho City. I heard Dalat is also very nice. Nha Trang, Phu Quoc islands are very popular as well.
I'd say next time you come back, go to Da Lat, Ninh Binh/Tam Coc, the Ha Giang Loop (Paddy Doyle and Kinging-It are pumping out AMAZING videos from there), Phu Quoc, and if you want, Da Nang (Ride with Gabi uploaded a great video from there and his lost video is really good). I'd also recommend doing the caves...they are out of this world and the multi-day ones are super cool. Might want to add Nha Trang, but many don't like it because it reminds them too much of Miami or whatever...if you do go, do the mud baths. :)
We didn't go to Nha Trang on our first 3 month visit as you tubers put us off, but we are going for a week in August 2022, to check out all that it offers, mud baths is the top of our list of things to do. I am also riding Ha Giang Loop, and we have enjoyed Paddy Doyle's amazing footage of the Loop and all of Northern Vietnam. He has a different take on Sapa, but it's a must visit place if visiting Hanoi.

I'm kind of ruined now because when I finally go back to America one day, I'll be glad to get back home to the land of the Free and the Brave, but the memories I have made here will haunt me forever. Fly back to Hanoi for a few more nights, I would, get myself busy & exhausted then travel to Ninh Binh for a quiet day - a little Halong bay, I guess. Return to Hanoi on the same day, I would, and enjoy a few more beers. Exhausted? 😊😊😊. Chúc các bạn tiếp tục hành trình mạnh khỏe và may mắn. Tôi vẫn rõi theo video các bạn.
People prefer the old name Saigon. The new name Ho Chi Minh is given by the communists. There is a question mark over the identity of the mummified body in the HCM mausoleum in Hanoi. The real HCM has died much earlier in Hong Kong, the later HCM is believed to be a Chinese agent sent to Vietnam to prepare the country for a Chinese takeover. That way China can conquer Vietnam without needing a bullet, with the help of the Viet commies. Who really is the body in the mausoleum? The mystery can only be solved by examining the DNA. Is the communist authority using the body as propaganda tool to establish legitimacy of the regime?
You should go to Mekong delta , the people are nicer and less develop than HCM and Hanoi and not a rat race type of people like big city. Even if they are rat race people then they are more considerate and understanding. People call them 2 Lua = green and gold, the economy survive on export agriculture and fisheries which you see at coles and woolworth Basa fish.
The French colonialized (subjugated) the Vietnamese for over 100 years. They thought so little of them, they never bothered to learn to speak vietnamese.
Hi Wayne, I knew that. Did you know that most locals still call the city Saigon? I do because I spoke with them, now please explain to me the logic of that being racist?
Mr Wayne, do you know who Ho Chi Minh City was named after? And why the locals of Saigon refused to call it Ho Chi Minh City for decades? I'm guessing not otherwise you would not have written such an embarrassing comment.
@@LloydandMandy The locals have became resigned to calling it Saigon over the years due to foreigners not having the courtesy to use the correct name. I appreciate that with the appalling treatment that the aboriginal people suffered and continue to suffer at the hands of white Australians that you may not get it. I was merely trying to give you a different perspective of the history of the country. Racist actions are quite often unconscious or unintended. When Vietnam was trying to rebuild after the devastation of the war they put up with a lot from foreigners in order to increase revenues and tolerated far more than either you or I would have put up with, thus resulting in cause and effect. I enjoy your vlogs
@@LloydandMandy One does know who he was thanks. Life is not seen through white western eyes only. People throughout the world have different views and peoples knowledge of events are so often clouded by the propaganda fed to them.
This is exactly what I'm talking about though, the people of Saigon themselves did not want to name the city after Ho Chi Minh, it was captured by him in the war. We took a food tour with young local Vietnamese women who told us that their parents still call the city Saigon because they didn't want to let go of its history. It is acceptable to call it either but to bring racism into and call me a racist is an overstep and you are flat-out wrong. Who you even been to HCMC and spoken to locals?
