Cameron Niemela dang I wish it was for a 1997😂
Yo from Finland. Your surname sounds familiar.☺ Hitwise, i would use cardboard mockup for arranging bolts and nuts etc. Otherwise flawless job. 😀
What type of grease are you using on the case gasket surfaces?
Cameron Niemela how do I enter the giveaway I have a 2001 cr125 this would be perfect
Cameron Niemela 250
Ive been racing motocross for almost 25 years and ive recently found your site.I have never commented on a video but after watching your vids i just had to comment. Your an amazing builder /mechanic your attention to detail is comparable to an artist. Its always a pleasure to watch someone whom not only knows what they are doing but loves what they are doing also. Both of which you obviously do. Your also an inspirational person givin the adversity you faced. Keep up the fantastic work cant wait to see your future builds.
If anyone wants to learn about Jesus Christ reply
@@cane2253gods work ❤️ spread it publically my brother in Christ. The people closest to you may need to hear about him
Your videos are amazing Cameron. Seriously top level. Thank you so much for creating this content, I've learned so much from your youtube channel.
Thanks man, much appreciated!
Your excellence and attention to detail always show. Forever improving and building.
There are a few things you should do before cerakoting engine parts, 1st check the tech data sheets to make sure the colors you're using are high heat cerakotes and if the part will be exposed to the sun, the tech data sheets also tell you the UV index/stability which states how well the paints hold up in the sun. Burnt bronze is good up to 500 degrees but the color will fade at around 350 and its UV stability is considered good. 2ndly you should be running your cerakote through a mesh filter before putting it in the gun, for metallics use a 100 mesh and for all others run a 150, high end cerakotes like elite series should be run through a 325, C-series does not need a mesh. 3rd your gun should have a .08 fluid needle I believe (cant remember off the top of my head) and when Spraying your parts should be hung up and 3-5 inches away with a 3 inch fan @ a 30 degree angle down, then up. (Octagonal spraying for barrels/rounded pieces etc) 1/2 fan overlap...so when you have a spray line...your downward motion should overlap 1/2 of your 1st spray line. 3rd you should only coat the same areas twice max to ensure your hitting within the 1mil-2mil recommendations, anything past 2 mils your going to see chipping over time because your now coating over the substrate you blasted and onto the cerakote itself, cerakote doesnt stick to cerakote, it sticks to substrates so it's best to stay within recommendations. 4th, you can control gloss index by obviously ratios 12:1,18:1,24:1 and finally other factors like ambient curing vs going straight into oven while wet and also the temps, like 180 for plastics @2hrs (250 for metals @2hrs or 300 for 1 hour depending on desired glossiness) this is helpful when trying to match glosses with different thickness of metals or plastics, obviously thinner parts will cure faster than thick parts. I've included tech data sheet link at bottom. Lastly you should have a moisture regulator on your air generator (eliminates moister in the lines) as well as using an oven that has a fan built into it. Hope this helps bro! Cameron...great job my friend...enjoy watching a true professional at work...can't emphasis the cleanliness...so important to this kind of work. Please keep the vids coming.

You've just opened a whole new world to me for when I come to spray my bike, thanks man, appreciate your efforts!
I HAVE A CR125 03! Just finally rebuilt this as a project, the cover would be the cherry on top
This CR is gonna be a mean machine when it's all put back together, keep up the videos man!

Amazing vid. I am waiting impatiently for the next amazing episodes. A man who loves motorcycles. The best job I've ever seen
Dude sweet video. I appreciate how you make nice long videos that follow something through. So many channels upload a 5 minute video then end it on a cliffhanger so we come back for the rest of what should have been in the first video.
Looks awesome. Titanium clutch cover bolts would be the icing on the cake
red724 *OH MAN IT WOULD LOOK SEEEXY AS HELL !*
What he said 👆🏻100% agree
My god man your builds are truly inspiring I’m in a low spot and your videos have really givin me the drive to get up and work on my stuff too thank you man seriously best channel on UA-cam good work and keep it up
Thanks Clayton! Happy to hear I can be an inspiration!
Awesome work. I watched this video like 2 years ago. Found it again because I just wanted to get that same paint work done on my track bike build. Awesome work.
You're a true inspiration dude. Really impressed. About to begin work on one of my projects. Not sure which it will be yet. The options are:
Bultaco Sherpa 350 twinshock trials - ground up restoration that I may keep for a while,
Bultaco Sherpa 250 twinshock trials - ground up restoration that I will be selling,
Honda CB-1 NC27 400 - non runner, needs a complete rebuild
Honda CBX550 - basket case due to become a cafe racer
Honda VF750F Interceptor V45 - another basket case due for total restoration to showroom condition hopefully
And the most likely:
CBR 125 - needs new piston, and because it needs selling
Honda Varadero 125 - because I want to play with it a bit. Only needs a few repairs.
Awesome work Cam! I have a KX 500 (1990) and (2) CR250's Im restoring , an 88' & 1987. Im gonna use all your tricks to get it right!
Love your videos! They chill me immensely before I go to sleep, keep up the good work 👍🏼
Just took out my Yamaha WR 500 engine and am waiting to get it back from Vapor blasting so I can reassemble it and replace bearings, seals, gaskets. Super excited.
your rebuild videos couldn't have come at a better time, as i'm in the process of rebuilding my '02 engine. very, very helpful!
Yo Cameron, Thank You for all this knowledge that you pass down through your videos. I’ve always wanted to get into buying Dirtbikes and quads and fixing them up for Resale and for myself, I just never had a garage to do such projects myself. Keep up the hard work bro!
Dude , that looks fantastic ‼️👍🏻 I'd just sit & stair at it most of the day ....LOL !! I have two vintage CR125's 92,93 this would look rad on.

Love this series man!!! Keep the cr250 vids coming!!!
Wow.. Thats very nice.. Cameron, well maintain thumbs up for that guys..
I loved the result, definitely will do this to my cheap bike.
Subbed. The CR250 build I’ve been watching closely, can’t wait for it to be finalized. Your work is very clean and your videos show everything involved and provides a good learning experience, thanks for that. Very easy to watch and addicting. You deserve way more subs.
Awesome dude, that Bronze ceracoate finish looks amazing, top work.🤙
Looks amazing Cameron. Nice work!

That looks flawless Cameron nice video man
I’m rebuilding my yz motor this winter. Thanks for the tips
Nice Work Cameron!!
wow... cant wait to see it done. you should start working on the frame and getting that back together while your bolts are in the mail.
Nicely done, Cameron!
the amount of times you've helped me solve problems is amazing i cant thank u enough love vids
Super nice work and I dig that trick engine stand. My only thing is the gaskets being slightly over sized. I need to see if the wife will let me install an oven into the garage.
Fantastic job! First time Ive seen this style of coating.
Really nice work man ! Love ur vids. Greetings from Sweden.
You are literally an artist kid! Love your videos. 👍
Love the videos. Wish the excess gasket could be trimmed and removed like you did with that knife!
This whole build series is awesome and well documented!! Cant believe i just found it subbed!
This bike is going to be beautiful!!! I can’t wait tell that cylinder comes in!!!!
Looks awesome! How well does the coating last during use ?
I loveee your videos and can't wait for the final product
Keep it up man 👍👍👍
Just bought a 2005 Honda crf250x and it’s awesome
Awesome vid mate 😁 you got me in trouble when my wife thought i was cooking dinner bahahaha
Awesome! waiting for the next episode already
Amazing video bro, keep it up and share your amazing work with us.
Looking forward to you talking about the top end. I'm about to change out my piston. You did a little talk about the cylinder head during the tear down. Can you reuse the old with new piston if it's in good shape? Is it better to just buy bought new? Like to hear about your thoughts on option. Just came across your build yesterday. Really locked in on thank for your time and doing these videos!
brilliant video, really enjoyed this
another brillant video you should have your own tv progamme it helps me so much cheers
Motor looks amazing! We are getting close!
I barely have the patience to watch these video. No way i could pull off these sweet finishes!
hey man wicked video, now im curious what can we spray or use besides a polish to protect our clean cases from rust and corrision? thanks!
Never though to use compressed air can from the store - the aerosol saps the energy from anything thus shrinking. Genius - and thanks for teaching us unawares of the cerakote.
I’m only after giving my kx a new engine rebuild and now I’m doing a cr 125 that’s y I’d like that side casing u done in the video
Awesome job! What was the tape you used to mask off the gasket surfaces? Seemed to be heat resistant?
Damn i love watching you working and paying attention to all those small details
Super Awesome Update. I cannot wait.
loving these CR build videos man, keep up the great work!
Awesome content! Cant wait to see it runs!
Looks great. Are you blasting with 120 aluminum oxide? Smooth.
really inspiring! I want to treat my valve cover, oil pan and my cylinder head (all aluminum) like this. so this process is good heat resistant too I assume?
Its on a miata nb.
Thank you for your follow-up from Syria
Your colour combination is genuinely sweet. The red contrast will compliment black with bronze. l'm happy you said red oil filler cap, ha.
Hey Cameron, how's the progress on the CR250 build??? Been waiting on the following video ;)
This is sooo cool. I wish I had access to these machines and skills to do my CRF 450
Can't wait for the following cr250 vids!
I've watched this video a grip of times I love it! What color, in spray can, can I get that looks similar to your cerkote paint job? I'm building a motorized bike and would love to make it look like your cr.
Should probably cerakote my evo engine next
I reckon that might get a few views
Devin Niemela boost your brz
@Devin: I had very bad experience with this "sratchresistant" ceracote shit, my next case will beblasted with glasballs, later a Powdercoating, and that its, 3 times harder than wet culour! sheers Tom
Hey man, thanks for all the great video's (even though they ruin my productivity at work haha)
i love the video's and how you explain everything and unlike other channels it actually seems like you know why and how you have to do something a certain way.
Esta quedando impresionante Came!
impressive finish!! 🤩🤩 👌🏽
Hey man, I am wanting to sandblast my clutch cover as well. People have said because it is magnesium you have to use a special type of media to blast it, what did you use to blast it? Thanks
You can blast with 100 grit aluminum oxide. That’s what’s I used on these covers with no issues
Awesome thanks so much
Cameron. Your the Man. Incredible Work.
What Powder coating Machine would you recommend?
I have a bunch of nice Quality Spray Guns already.
Cerakote is Hands down the best Looking Color for any Chrome Engine.
Could you do an Engine Restore, Polish, Cerakote on a CRF50 Dirt Bike or any Small Engine 4 Stroke. I restored about 5 Dirt Bikes with my 3 Sons and had a Guy do all my Powder coating. I did the Engine Covers, Forks and swing arms in White. Just restored and modified a 2007 TTR 90 and the Engine Casings will look wicked with Cerakote.
Thanks Bud !
Scott
That bronze looks killer dude
Hey man, bit off topic but I’m currently restoring a Honda z 50 and was just wondering what’s your advice on how I should restore the wheels. Maybe use something you have used here??
