    If you by any chance saw a piece of slate somewhere on Freddie's grave that said, to Freddie Starr from Jamie RIP, that was from me. Also, those fake roses were left by my Aunt when we visited his grave. Freddie Starr is without question my all time favourite British comedian. He was so unpredictable, neither the audience or those who knew him personally know what tricks he would pull from his sleeve. Sadly, I never got the chance to see the man himself live on stage. His last tour was back in 2015, four years before his death. My late Nan knew him before he was famous, back when he was just Frederick Fowell. Both of them were born in Liverpool, grew up in Huyton and even went to the same schools. Not to mention some of her ashes are buried in the same cemetery where Freddie is.

      Sorry, we didn't notice the slate, but how lovely your aunt leave the roses. He was a true comic, loved visiting him, just ashame about the weather. Thanks for watching

    A naturally funny man whos life ended so sadly for him. I truly believe the accusations against him killed him. Thanks for sharing this Chris and Vickie 👍

      He looked absolutely beaten towards the end of his life. It's such a shame it ended the way it did.

    RIP Freddie, I saw him performing at a theatre in Stockport late 1980s/early 1990s. I laughed so much my sides hurt for the rest of the week. Always missed. ❤🇬🇧

    Funny that you were watching him on UA-cam as my son has been sending me UA-cam links of Freddie Starr for about a month now. God bless him and may he rest in peace 🕊️❤

    Very funny indeed 😂 so sad that he died a recluse. 😢 But then again that's probably what he wanted. Thanks for bringing this celebrity to life. Must say you both have a lot of guts to be out there in the cold and rain. 💦😱 Thanks for sharing 👍👍

      We said this off camera, when you look around today we have no one like him on our telly's anymore. It was like a release for the norm watching these comics on stages and laughing with them, now it's just down and gloom on the telly with no release. Shame 😢

    Just finished watching thank you so much you two this was a brilliant video you researched it so well, my late dad used to love Freddy, when he was on the telly I can hear him now roaring laughin!!. I wasn't that struck with him but I admit he was very talented with the clowning around and singing. It was a very sad ending for him for sure. Well done .👏👏👏👏💕💕

    Tysvm Chris & Vickie. Being from US this is my 1st time hearing of Freddie Starr. How very sad that such a talented gentleman was accused of such things & passed away a recluse even after being found innocent. May he RIP 🙏🏻. Ty 👍🏻 💜

      I sort of remember a shown where Freddie is singing with them, and I'm sure I've also read an article where they say that he was the closest to Elvis as you could possibly get. That's massive praise.

    Love what you do but when you're in the cemetery did you see all the tombstones pushed over. God bless you both.

    • @DaysofHorror
      @DaysofHorror  Місяць тому

      Yes, we saw them, and we see similar in nearly all the cemeteries and graveyards we visit. I think it's mainly down to safety. They lay them on the floor so they don't fall on people. We have read reports of this happening and where people have been badly injured.

    So sad he’s name is not on his stone but I guess the family have their reasons 😢😢

    • @DaysofHorror
      @DaysofHorror  26 днів тому

      We agree regarding his name. The family have their reasons and I guess we have to respect them. I think the majority of people who visit his grave would do so with respect, but it makes us wonder that if his name was on the headstone, could it provoke those who thought he was as bad as Savile or Glitter, into defacing the grave?

  • @jeepsthetimebandit
    @jeepsthetimebandit 2 місяці тому +3

    I'm not laughing now. Poor Freddy 😢
    Do you think his name isn't on there to stop fans knowing about it?

    • @Daysofhorror-vickie
      @Daysofhorror-vickie 2 місяці тому +3

      I think so. What we failed to mention is on his grave is an actual star wreath, not sure if anyone noticed that. 😊
