Thank you for this walkthrough, it was really helpful and I managed to get my head unit fitted myself yesterday I'm having trouble getting the sound working when using android auto - but I've seen other comments saying that I should try setting it to aux on the bmw side. I didn't have much luck before but I'll try that again. Thanks again for this video!
My pleasure! It needs to be selected in the setting. Default setting thinks it has an aftermarket camera. But yes, after selecting the factory camera, it works well
Isn't the 12.3" just a little bit too big for the X1 interior? Or the 10.25" unit might look more like it fits in with the X1? What's your opinion? That's my dilemma, deciding on which one to get lol.
To me, 12.3" is good, the bigger the better IMO. It is a bit wide so my wife with shorter arms has to reach for the right side of the screen, but I don't have that problem. I was tried to replace with new mon with my f48.but it do not have any display on the mon.Then I change to the 6.5 inch old one,also no battery on it. Is the fuse was shortcutted?
The question is if the app 《My BMW》 works with this new screen? I have bought the connective booster service, can I still use it? The radar parking ? Caméra ?

I bought a similar head unit and fitted it yesterday. To get my rear camera working I had to go into the settings of the head unit under "car info". My unit thinks that my car will have an aftermarket rear camera installed by default, but actually I have the original. You may have to select "original rear camera" in the settings menu (or something along those lines). Hopefully that works for you too
I actually found out that you don't need to. I just went to the bmw side of the unit and set it to play aux audio, and that gave me sound on the android side!

Did exactly the same as you and I don't have audio from the screen... Only call to one speaker
Go into the BMW side and set the audio mode to Aux. That should work

You need to check aliexpress and see if you can select the option for the system type. I am quite sure they do have it.

The two USBs are for Apple carplay and Android auto!

There are many newer headunits now, just make sure you search for the correct system (mine was an NBT)

I didn't have any problems, it functioned the same way. I'm not sure what else you can do other than rechecking the wiring. :(
