It's funny because as a kid I always loved seasons that did unusual things with the ranger colors. I loved when we got a male yellow with Ninja Storm, and it absolutely blew my mind when Mystic Force gave us both a male yellow and a purple ranger (and a cool armored villain one at that!). My Koragg that transformed into a dragon was my absolute favorite toy in 2006 (one of the few toys from back in the day that I still have!), and to this day I'm still a little disappointed that we never got Catastros. I think the sales thing has to be a parents thing, because as a kid I was really happy with any PR toys I got and would often ask my mom for the girls just because everyone else would gift me the boys and I wanted complete teams. The Mystic Force toyline I think is extremely underrated, some of the best figures and zords we ever got. I'd ever go as far as to say the Titan Megazord might be in the top 3 best Bandai America megazords of all time in terms of looks and playability, up there with the Lightspeed Rescue trains and the super customizable Wild Force line.
ppl will never understand that completionist collectors are a niche of a niche. i definitely completely understand wanting the figures (especially since it's much more possible in japan) but it's just not the reality we're working work, unfortunately.
i find it funny the logic toy companies have. "Let's not do the show accurate Red Korg because it's a spoiler. But instead do a different colored version that isn't in the show at all" lol. Glad this 3 part series got made. It really contextualizes the various unique problems that have persisted throughout it's 30 years.
That was odd for sure. And I am guessing on that. Someone is saying they did see the Red Koragg at Disney Store (sadly I never found him). Maybe for some reason they decided that one would just be for the Disney Store? I have no idea why or when it was actually released. Samurai I'm almost 99.99% certain it was indeed due to spoilers.
Shout out to my parents in '94 going NUTS for my birthday and basically buying one of everything on the shelves for me, including the girls! All main 5 rangers, Megazord, Goldar, Squat & Battlebikes, Blade Blaster. I remember my dad looking funny everytime I'd pick up Kimberley, but I'm so glad I had the whole team! It's probably what made me a collector today!
For Christmas that year I got all the Ranger figures, that had the flipping heads, Goldar, and some putties. I still have them all, missing the gold piece for the green ranger though.
I always look forward to seeing you complete a display theme. So satisfying to see you finalize a shelf. It looks absolutely stunning! Oh and 👍🏼 on Mystic Force and Magi Ranger 😍
As a kid it always drove me absolutely crazy that we never saw the girls on merch, barely if any toys for them and i was always like "WHERE IS EVERYONE???"
Girls started out pretty strong. MMPR through Turbo had girls for everything. 5 inch, 8 inch, bike figures, flip heads, metallic, ninjetti, mini figs, McDonald's figs, dolls... you name it, we had it. Space I remember yellow/pink being hard to find, and then again with Lost Galaxy, but easier to find them with their Galaxy Gliders or Jet Jammers. Lightspeed through Wild Force were okay with girls, as was Ninja Storm, Dino Thunder yellow sure gave me trouble but the bike and raptor figures weren't as hard to find. SPD on was fine. A little too fine... and by Samurai through MMPR movie & Ninja Steel, it was nothing but girls shelf-warming (main line and Legacy).
@MMPRtoys First, Holy Frax Hi Bruno! I've loved your channel since I was a preteen, I think I found you guys around the time of Megaforce and have been hooked ever since. The entire DividedAsOne team is just an amazing machine of creativity and Positivity. And second thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to respond to my comment. I wish the franchise owners would've tried to have more genuine girl power and just make girls feel like they can be power rangers too. Because they are! Anyone can be a ranger, let's hope whoever is next to hold Power Rangers name Respects and remembers that.
Really enjoying this series looking at the purple toys and the differences between what was being released in Japan versus the US. Really interesting stuff 👍
I have a feeling the purple problem was felt in bandais final years with power Rangers. In ninja steel, the final set of zords bandai did, one of the final releases was meant to be the sub surfer zord. But they never released the sub surfer zord, instead opting for new, original molds in 3 new zords, instead of having a purple final megazord release where 4/5ths of it would be an easy remold, as done with the other two auxiliary zords in ninja steel. Additionally, it's not like it would've been hard to make a new mold, because the ninninger ports were compatible with the ninja steel throne mechanic. They chose to make completely new zords rather than release a purple zord.
Keep in mind that Bandai cancelled the second half of Ninja Steel. Hasbro bought the brand and many things from Bandai never went into production. I believe Surfer was the only Zord that didn't get released. And who knows, maybe it was due to being purple, lots of girls that were planned got cancelled both due to the sale to Hasbro and things shelf warming. Bad for Bandai, and also retailers don't want things sitting on shelves like that either (Toys R Us wouldn't order yellow/black Legacy movie morphers b/c the others were just sitting there). I don't have an answer on Sub Surfer, but if that was happening it would have been 2018, when no toys were being released.
@@MMPRtoys it absolutely was the only zord in the show that wasn't released. Ninninger had shurikenjin, which was made into the Ninja steel megazord, Paonmaru, which was released as the elephant, UFOmaru which was released as the ufo zord, bison king, which was made into the bull rider megazord, lion ha-oh, which was made into the lion fortress megazord, gekiatsu dai-oh, which became the ninja blaze megazord and surfermaru, which never got a US release. The only zord in ninja steel that didn't get used in the toyline was the sub surfer zord. But what did get made were three original zords, the Stegosawrus, Tigercannon, and gorilla blast zord. Which out of all of them, I could only find a review by dosmrider on, made on August 12 2018. The announcement of the acquisition of power rangers by hasbro was all the way back in may of that same year. Bandai could've made the sub surfer zord as the final release, but that would've made for a purple megazord. They actively chose to make 3 original zords, one of which can't even combine with the others, instead of making a purple megazord.
@@astral_vaporeon Oh, maybe you didn't know, we used to go over to the Bandai showroom and bring you guys videos from inside, and talk with the guys who worked there. The exclusive Zords were indeed on this channel, several times. Not sure why people are missing so many of our videos. They're still up. Here's one: ua-cam.com/video/K1pWoo7pCBk/v-deo.html and another: ua-cam.com/video/mi67Ytj7GFU/v-deo.html if you ever want to know if we did a video on something, just use the search tool on the main channel page. We also have playlists.
@@MMPRtoys when I was typing this comment I could only use Google, I was too lazy to search for other youtubers but the top result was Dosmrider. I didn't doubt you had a video on the zords though, you seem to review everything, in a good way! But the point still stands, the sub surfer zord shows how bandai of America thinks purple won't sell. They skipped the release of the sub surfer zord in favor of other zords, likely because it was purple.
I remember when Age of Ultron came out and there was controversy over the lack of Black Widow merch. It started this new campaign for toy companies to add more female characters in their toy lines. It almost did seem like we were ready to break some social norms, and then sadly we had scenes like this, with the shelves full of Tori’s and other female rangers that wouldn’t sell. I hope we can someday move on from this stigma, because little girls deserve an action figure in the isle just as much as any boy. 😢
@omega-rattrap No, it's connected. You brought up Endgame and the MCU and social norms. Fact is, people don't tend to buy merchandise of characters they don't like. Most of the post Endgame female characters are awful, which leads to the audience not liking them, which leads to not buying merchandise of said figures, leading to not breaking the social norms you want changed. There's also the fact that most little girls aren't interested in action figures, not because of social norms, but simply because of their natural inclinations. That's why most of them gravitate toward dolls. There's been many female action figures since Endgame, the girls just aren't buying them. It's just not what they want.
@@jeggsonvohees2201 except I didn’t bring up Endgame, I brought up AoU. And we’re thinking of different audiences. I’m thinking of kids, and sounds like you’re thinking of adults who mostly buy Marvel Legends. Most kids aren’t going to worry about the writing quality of these characters. Also, would you care to elaborate on what you don’t like about the female characters post-Endgame? Because I don’t think most of them are that bad, or any worse than say Thor in Love & Thunder or any of the guys in Eternals. Hell in terms of female characters, I would say Harley Quinn in the first SS movie or Lois Lane in any of Zach Snyder films were way worse than She-Hulk twerking or Ms. Marvel doing teen antics. Anyway, my point was after Age of Ultron, there was controversy over lack of BW merch. Companies like Bandai responded by making more female figures like for their Power Rangers, but people didn’t buy them, and it’s a sad irony we need to move on from. It has nothing to do with the writing qualities of the characters.
When I was a kid I remember coming up with / drawing a Purple Ranger who would pilot Titanus because I thought it was weird that the Carrier Zord didn't have its own ranger.
Japan even had their first male pink ranger in Donbrothers. At least one side of the ocean is being a least a little progressive in terms of girls, colors and other stuff
I don't know if I'd call it progressive persay. It's just that girls and boys naturally gravitate toward certain colors. That's never going to really change since it's hardwired into our nature.
Loved Mystic Force 😊 I can't put my finger on why that is. What is the norm for a show that changes every year? One year they're in space, then traveling through time, on an animal filled floating island, extreme sports ninjas, back to dinosaurs, futuristic police officers... I'm not sure magic's too out there for Power Rangers. Honestly I think second season of Dino Charge managed to be a little more out there than the entirety of Mystic Force. I don't entirely disagree, but it also felt like it fit with that era of Power Rangers. I still considered that "my" Power Rangers. Maybe a kids show but didn't feel like they were aiming so young as some more recent seasons have felt. Some of Mystic Force was kinda scary, in a good way.
I remember for Christmas as a kid my parents had bought the Centurus Wolf Megazord from Japan because it was my favourite and the last thing I needed for my collection 😢 thought it was so cool because the box was in Japanese and at the time I thought it was some cool mystical language! I must've been like ✨ live your videos Bruno! Thank you!
This may not help your theory, but there were stil Beast X King morphers on some store shelves in the UK (Farmfoods had a whole load of them just delivered about August/September time!) We're a fickle bunch, Power Ranger fans 🙈😂
Great video Bruno, I liked the Cosmic Fury suits, it was cool that we finally got a good female red ranger that was the leader for the whole season, also it was neat that Zayto had a gold/white suit. I liked the season overall but I’m sad a lot of it got cut out, I’ve read there was supposed to be some resentment Izzy would have had against Fern being a ranger leading to a break up that would have been resolved near the finale but was cut out. I’m sad that fans and parents hate purple and girls, I found Tanya shelf warming so I got her, some things never change. Same goes for Ivan Ooze.😑 I liked Mystic Force, especially Jenji and Phineas, I also liked how Jenji met a younger piggy who told him soon there would be aliens all over earth. I’ve only seen the first four or five episodes of Magiranger but I loved it and the ending theme is adorable!☺️
Honestly while the purple theory is interesting I personally don't believe it's true until we get confirmation from someone who worked with the toys during the Disney era I don't believe the purple theory maybe they didn't have time or there was some management issues this was before the writers guild strike
Best I can do is I'm a guy who worked on Power Rangers. I've run a popular Power Rangers toy channel for nearly two decades. I was a consultant with both Bandai and Saban, Shout! Factory too (you even saw people from all of those companies inside my house...) Not too much of a stretch to believe I've heard some things... which anyone could have observed themselves at any store as well. Even if the purple theory turns out to be all very coincidental, fans not buying girls is not a theory, that's proven over and over and over with any data you choose to go with.
@@MMPRtoys yeah it doesn't help even back then the stigma of girls can't like boys stuff and boys can't like girl stuff was still active during that time still theirs gotta be a other reason why the purple zords never came out I mean purple can be a boys color mystic force and jungle fury proves it
That was one my biggest disappointments with Cosmic Fury. I wanted my purple dragon ranger so bad. My favorite color, a dragon, i love the long coat butt cape design. But I do remember a bit of a crisis growing up that purple was a girly color. Kids are dumb.
I was actually thinking when Cosmic Fury was announced that maybe we'd have a purple. I thought it would be Tarrick. It sounds like it might have been a budget thing and the actor wasn't available for much of shooting and had a smaller part, but, I don't know if purple was every officially planned. I thought especially with the purple dragon there could be a purple ranger.
@@MMPRtoys Honestly while watching, that almost seemed set up too. I just cant remember what scene made me think that it was the perfect situation. At least i think it was Tarrick. I hadnt heard anything but I didnt follow the production very closely. After all the announcements of how different a season it was going to be, I sat back so I could watch the show blind. There's also an alternate universe where I'd have wanted to see Shou Ronpo standing next to the excellent SPD Kruger costume.
@@MMPRtoysI believe Simon Bennett confirmed that they were going to make a new Void Knight suit but Toei said they needed them to return the suit for a stage show they wanted to use him in, so unfortunately no void knight cosmic fury version
Mystic Force was after I stopped watching PR full time BUT upon my rewatch about 10yrs ago…I fell in love! Great season! Also, I know it’s stock footage but if there’s a bar playing Sentai/Rangers all day, that’s where you’d find me!
Not having a proper Solaris Knight back in the day always annoyed me. I remmebr it led to people mass voting for him during that one Toyfare poll for deciding the next Super Legends figure, where he only came in 3rd but ultimately it didnt matter since Bandai cancelled the line as soon as the scale of the figure changed.
And they made so many not-quite-right figures of him. I don't get it. There was one of him where the figure transformed into a train, which was the proper costume... but with train proportions. They got the 12 inch figure right. Then there were all these other random figures of him. Can't explain that one. There were times when people at Bandai just didn't think a design "looked cool" and made some changes for the US line, which could be the case, but then that wasn't even consistent. I don't know with that one...
This is a pretty interesting topic, back when Dino Charge was around, all I found in Toys R Us was pink, purple dino drive mode and I got lucky and found aqua dino drive. It’s a shame people aren’t buying them. If you’re wanting the whole team, then why not buy the girls too?
The girl issue (and villain issue) all boils down to the factor of either the consumer has the funds/inclination to buy the whole set, which is the only way those toys sell, or they don't and only the most popular Rangers sell, and for most boys that's not the girls and no kid is going to want just the villain with no ranger. It's a general issue with team-based properties in general, not just for Power Rangers. This was an issue with the Lightning Collection, most collectors are going to want the whole team for Power Rangers, and the longer it takes for a team to be finished, the less likely people are going to keep buying the figures in the hopes that maybe one day they'll have the team, and even if they do decide to do buy them later, the early figures are out of print so they'll have to get them from the secondary market which is money Hasbro's not seeing. When you see LC in stores, its always from teams that are either not finished, or took too long to finish (like Zeo Yellow).
Well, by LC, it's another more expensive collection aimed at adult collectors, many of which I'm sure feel burned when Bandai lost the license and couldn't finish Legacy stuff, so there's the risk you spend a lot of money and end up with an incomplete collection for the second time. But, this has been an issue for more than two decades, even when the main line was so affordable and every single figure was on the shelf at the same time. I'm sure there are many reasons that vary by person, and year, but girls and monsters not selling has been very consistent in Power Rangers. Maybe the same way with other toys too, I'm just most familiar with PR.
Seeing the white version of the purple wolf guy unlocked a memory for me. I had that figure when I was a kid. No clue what happened to it but I remember having it.
Great point about the purple color theory. I always thought the missing purple zord from Dino Thunder was about it having a punching feature. I bought Wolkaiser while Mystic Force was airing because fans thought BA wouldn't release it. Funny thing was I wasn't watching Mystic Force, but thought that Wolkaiser was a badass zord. Glad I bought it before Mystic Force ended.
Mystic Force was okay, but didn't like it a whole lot but Magiranger on the other hand love it. The whole family dynamic worked but Mystic Force just had the story center around Nick and other rangers where just there for the ride.
Japan generally does such a great job. I really ruined Jungle Fury for myself by watching Gekiranger first. Many years later I watched it again and thought they did a really great job with it, now that Gekiranger was no longer so fresh in my head. Mystic Force was a great adaptation of Magiranger, but of course Magiranger had even more stuff goin' on. I think Magiranger was also 49 eps vs 32 for Mystic Force.
Just missing Koragg though, easy to import from Japan. By 2006 ordering from Japan was very easy, and this very minute there are a ton on eBay, in and out of the box starting at $120. Not bad at all. Our Bandai America Zords were very similar to Japan's, but Magi King was still missing a bit of paint. Manticore too, and the gold wasn't as bright. I always saw the Zords as thing you got from Japan if possible. There wasn't even that big of a price difference, and you got them a year before the American show.
@MMPRtoys thats true, American releases are just more sentimental to me. It's strange they didn't think koragg would do well in usa, he was the best character imo.
@@Corvidae10 LOVED Koragg. It's frustrating for some of us, I'd imagine that so many of the other viewers who buy things just think in terms of what color is this toy? And skip so many things that really are cool. I don't think it's like this with every property, but for PR, girls/monsters generally don't sell well. Some people want/buy them, just not enough. 😕 But, they did make Koragg as a figure, his 5 inch Zord, and UK got the DX. You could have Bandai America packaging for him.
Are you positive you didn't get Wolf Meg in the UK? I'm almost positive I've seen a box for it, UK exclusive. I learned about that much later in an old video where I said it was never released, someone from the UK said they had it. Almost positive I confirmed it did indeed exist.
@@MMPRtoys No, we had the Red Ranger Unicorn one. Maybe another area of the UK had it but where i previously lived, I lived close to London (Reading to be precise) and I never saw Wolfy in several stores.
@@MMPRtoysDefinetly only saw the Red Ranger+Unicorn Magezord and from the UK. London specific where if the Centaurus Wolf Megazord was sold, I would have seen it at least once. I personally wantes that version ovee the one we got I remember being extra on the look out for it.
One thing I loved about the Wolzard phone is that it’s voiced by Wolzard himself. I wish Bandai America made a Korragg phone with Korragg’s voice as that would be so cool
I had a Koragg figure that turned into a dragon that I would carry around forever when i was in pre-school. I dreamt of getting the Centauros Wolf Zord but it never released in America. One day I want to track it down, but man seeing the suit every time on screen was lightning. I remember rewatching the dark wish 3 parter and just watching the koragg scenes sometimes. Badass
I’m starting to get more in the super sentai line of action figures what would be the best way of going to try to find the old ones? And what is the best way of buying the new boonboomger series?
This channel is a great resource for that. We link to everything in the video description of those specific videos. In general, eBay has literally everything, you must go to eBay. We've got eBay videos that link to specific sellers who have really good things for reasonable prices. But just search, things come up. CSTOYS & Tokullectibles are where most of my current Sentai things come from. I've been ordering from Mr. S at CSTOYS at least since 2008, and Tokullectibles for quite a few years now too. There are lots of places to get Sentai stuff. Also Power Ranger specific and general toy cons can be a great place, Power Morphicon is this August. Have you seen any of our old PMC haul videos...? Insane the stuff I used to find there...
@@MMPRtoys I’m sure I have over the year I’m going to rewatch them now. Thanks I’m a big fan of the channel have been for almost 9 years now keeping it up. Also is power rangers getting rebooted?
I was not a fan of Mystic Force when it first aired. I wasn’t a huge fan of any of the Disney era seasons when they first came out, but I will say that after giving it a try on reruns, it’s probably my second favorite Disney season, and definitely has my favorite season ending of any season since Wild Force. The character arcs are great (not just the rangers, but the supporting cast as well), there is real emotional weight to their sacrifice at the end and yet they continue to fight for good even after. The extra rangers (mostly just Koragg) suit designs are fantastic. The finale Reminds me of Countdown to Destruction. It checks most of the boxes 😆
It was a different time back then where bright color are seen as unmanly for a heavily market boy franchise. Kids get tease for wearing a certain color. Remember at the end of zordon era, people were kind of sick of the franchise and left bad reviews about the new seasons of the shows. Even kids in school were ashamed about liking the power ranger story of that era and pretending they were never fans to begin with. Let alone collecting every color, which is expensive. Even Japan doesn’t dare to make official premium figures anymore for the whole team let alone the main team. Those are reserve for adult collectors like the shodo line.
Back in the day the figures were very affordable. I can only speak for people my age. When Power Rangers aired I was so afraid to like it b/c I'd been made fun of for loving and still collecting TMNT, but the kids in my school went crazy for MMPR. There was never any turning on it. I think people just quietly lost interest as they got older and involved in other more adult things, but always looked back with good memories. I wanted the full team as a kid, and a Rita, of course. Never in a million years would it have even occurred to me to not buy pink or girls. I didn't even realize there could be an issue with that until so many years later (as an adult running this channel and hearing from all the people who wouldn't buy girls). Now it's 2024 and the world has changed, but PR fans are still avoiding girls as we speak. That hasn't changed at all 30 years later.
@@MMPRtoys It’s unfortunate. Power Rangers always felt like one of the more girl-friendly superhero franchises compared to its peers, at least on the surface.
"Mystic Light Knight Wolf", cool I like the sound of that, thinking about it, it makes a lot of sense to group him with the Legend Warriors like a power-up of the Wolf Warrior. Personally I always really liked both Magiranger AND Mystic Force, neither one was necessarily perfect, but parts of both really had this way of grabbing my attention. Really loved this video, you guys stay safe and healthy and Magical Source Mystic Force/Maagi Magi Magiiro #MMPRtoys #DividedAsOne #PurpleRanger #teambrumia
You know what kills me, I used to work at Macys in 2006. On break I’d check out the stores, one of them being Disney. They used to carry a bunch of the Red Koragg 3 packs. Wish I knew. ;(
WHAT?? They do exist? 😲 I searched and searched and searched. We had a few Disney stores in our area. I think I ended up believing it just never happened. Son of a...!
Thanks for cheering me up during a rough night Bruno, my guess on limited purple is people probably think it’s not a popular color ( I like purple) I loved mystic force ( my favorite ranger was chip mainly because we’d have the same reaction to going on a quest plus he’s funny ) I have off brand lego mystic force rangers in my collection and I made a custom silver knight mystic force ranger to fight alongside them too.
What people dont get is that this applies to the general public and less the very small niche that is the proper fandom, sure you bought all the girls as a fan but the general public that is actually giving Hasbro/bandai money don't and this applies to both Eastern and Western territories as even Rider and Ultraman have to wither put it in with a boy centric device or put it on p-bandai so it wont flood retail space and piss them off.
When mystic force was being promoted, I did not like the idea of crossing power rangers with Harry Potter. However, when I started watching it, I got into it. I am glad I did not skip it.
It was because of Mrs. Shablaam why I have a Mystic Force figure and Mystic Force Titan Megazord. And because of those, I watched the season and surprisingly really enjoyed. Definitely under rated.
Sometimes I wish I could actually see the sales numbers to see what does and what doesn't sell. Like you said, it seems that though the adult fans want figures and such of the girl rangers, kids seem to only want the boys, or their parents are more partial to buying the boys. Might be the same red bias for the Legacy/Lightning stuff. People who grew out of it saw a figure from when they were kids and just got the red since they remember him best. What I really want to know is their reasoning for the Centarus Wolf Megazrod. Never released it state side, but did the one-off repaint of it. They figured the megazord of one of the main bad guys wouldn't sell, but a unicorn would. Maybe it was because it came with the Red Ranger.
100% b/c the unicorn came with a red ranger. I wonder how it would have gone had they tried releasing Centaurus Phoenix Megazord. Black horse/Red Zord. That was used just as much as the one they did do. Might have been a more appealing color scheme for boys? Then other fans would have been pissed they left out Koragg, of course. So, I don't know. As a UA-camr in this fandom, we also have a lot of experience with what people will and won't click on, and Mia can tell you all about how invisible she feels. She used to say she could disappear from the channel and no one would notice. She did that five years ago and people always ask for Jerry. No one asks where Mia went. On our vlog channel, if she was the thumbnail, UA-cam would label the video "experimental" b/c so few people would click on the video. I can't explain it, but there's a really weird thing with girls in this fandom (which some of the actresses could talk about too... people always get mad at Amy for not going to PMC, I'm sure she has a reason, I've heard some things...)
Seriously it is such a shame that purple seems to not sell, lots of great designs we missed out on because Purple apparently is too much of a girly color. But more importantly it’s a shame the female figures don’t sell either, wish things were different but I don’t think that mindset will ever change. Power Rangers itself isn’t the only franchise that has this problem of course. People always say that they wish a company would do the things they want, but you also have to buy that thing to tell them that you want more! That’s not me playing devils advocate, that’s just called business. As such in order to be successful you have to appeal to the largest audience. In the case of Rangers, it’s boys. Not saying you can’t do niche things but still, to make more things requires money. If something isn’t selling, get rid of it and make something that does.
This is really more of a creative animation/VFX channel. People always ask us for top 10s and more regular things, so we do them, but it's not really our focus over here.
Being averse to purple in PR back in those days is a sorta of funny considering purple is a pretty popular color in rider (f.e. Ouja, Rogue, Buffa, OOOs himself, etc) and even in more recent Sentai (f.e. Ryu Commander, Stacaesar, Boon Violet).
But we did have purple over here, and US & Japan are two different audiences, with Rider & PR being two different shows. The only purple we had in the original Saban days was Beetleborgs, and she was the girl. Jungle Fury was our first male purple Power Ranger.
The spiel Bandai America spit out was that the Centaurus Wolf Megazord was "too evil". Uh-huh. But they did 5" figures of Koragg AND Centaurus Wolf, AND they actually released the repainted version Phoenix Unizord. 🤔🤔🤔 I think this was just Bandai America tryna do their own thing as usual. Bunviolet's mecha...I dunno, whether it turns out to be Machalcon's kid or not (them Engines grow up VERY fast, considering that while it's been over a decade since we've seen Machalcon in Gokaiger, there was only THREE years between Go-Onger (2008) and Gokaiger (2011) for Speedor & Bear RV to have got married and have a kid who grew up to become the final piece of a silly ultimate formation (Remember: Kanzen Gokaioh ain't all that "kanzen" when you realize that the Blue, Green, Pink, & Yellow vehicles AIN'T INVOLVED AT ALL. At least Shinken Gokaioh, the presumed super formation cuz Gozyuu Gokaioh ain't it, keeps Blue & Green...). That said, the way Boonbyun Machrobo seems to work reminds me more of Megawinger (crappy wing pack that can detach for use by Boonboomger Robo). 😑😑😑
you know, its actually not only happen at US,its also happen on my country. like ive been in so many toys r us,aeon, and hobby shop.didnt see any red, blue, black and gold rangers from dino fury. guess what? only a pink ranger, green ranger and a bunch of monster figure. Its kinda sad because if i want to collect pr toys,i need to complete all the rangers but when i try to find it,only have green and pink everytime.
neat toy line got the core 5 including the girls missed out of getting regular Koragg figure got him as a transforming dragon, it was a shame wolfkaiser was a Japan exclusive mecha but Bandai made their choice
On a different but PR related topic. Bruno have you seen the new MMPR beat'em up game trailer and will you be getting it for your Nintendo Switch/PS4/PS5? It looks incredible and on the same level as the TMNT Shredders Revenge game.
I'd say that was the easiest to cut from the line, it was kinda lame, honestly, and keep in mind, many things got cancelled due to Hasbro buying the brand. More Ninja Steel toys would have come out. Don't forget, Bandai released almost nothing in 2018, which would have been season 2 of Ninja Steel. There were things I showed in our Bandai tour video, and more things that hadn't been shown that sadly we'll never see. Maybe purple just got unlucky that time, but I really don't know. They had surfer art in the show room last time I was there.
there was a UK release of the wolfkaiser and it was identical to the japanese version (the Wolfkaiser was/is one of the best DX Megazords for sure).. mystic force was a terrible power rangers season, however magiranger was a really good super sentai season, i feel thats similar with a lot of seasons (2006 and onwards) where the power rangers adaptation is really bad but the super sentai is really good (e.g. boukenger, shinkenger, go onger were all really good but their power rangers counter part were all so bad), i feel like power rangers has been dead for a couple years now its basically 20 min adverts for little kids, as an adult or 'older fan' power rangers fails in every way, i think best thing is to watch super sentai like more recent super sentai have terrible 'zord/mecha' designs but atleast you may have an interesting story/plot (recently saw timeranger and it was very good, great story, great characters, great everything, and time force aswell is one of the best power ranger seasons).
Well, PR/Sentai are both indeed toy commercials. Those shows exist to sell toys, no secret or debate there. Mystic Force was such a great season. It's tough to beat the original in Japan, if I could only recommend Magiranger or Mystic Force, yes, go with Magiranger. Samurai or Shinkenger? Shinkenger. Jungle Fury or Gekiranger...? You get the point. The show has felt like it's been aimed a bit younger since Samurai. MMPR will always be the original, ZEO and Turbo were both good/fun with some great moments, and In Space started better story telling and anything from Space through RPM should be easy for an adult fan to enjoy. I started really watching Sentai with Gaoranger, and every season I've seen has been fantastic. Loving Boonboomger.
Growing up, my favorite color was and still is black. So it upset me as a kid the US didn't get Koragg's black horse zord. But instead we got the white version when Nick got it.
Mystic Force is top tier for me, but I'm biased because it's magic themed. Where do you watch sentai shows? I can't find any good places, and I really want to see Boonboomger cause it looks really fun.
Man i wish that white, red, and gold koragg figure got a dx release that is compatible with the zords. That color scheme is exactly what would work with the unizord combination.
Perhaps you saw the UK release being sold at a con, Bandai America did not release this in America. You can find all sorts of things at PMC, from all over the country.
@@chevyonekanobi2892 Thanks. I work long hours 7 days a week, and I buy things when they're for sale over time, vs trying to buy an entire collection in a single purchase. Most adults with income can afford some toys during the year, and action figures didn't used to cost $30 - $50 a piece, they used to be $5. Megazords weren't $150 - $200, they used to be between more between $29 and $59 for fancier things, and with a few cases where something was more, or less. When I was younger, kids always had money for going out, clubs, drinking, cigarettes, fancy clothes, etc. I bought Power Ranger toys instead.
how were you able to find the girls when bandi had the rights? i had the most trouble tryna find the girl figures until beast morphers and dino fury, still to this day i never was able to find 2017 movie pink and ninja steel white
For real...? Well, if you followed our channel then, I gave you guys every last place in existence to find these toys, so many options for online ordering. We also toy-hunted across the country numerous times, every single state was the same exact thing. Girls, girls, girls. They were beyond plentiful, not sure what to say for your store, that's really weird.
And the American Magistaff was more show accurate though some paint was missing, plus both American and Japanese versions never released Udonna/Magi Mothers snowflake symbol for the Magi Staff.
It’s so interesting how the relationship between purple is different between japan and America, and I think it’s just because enough times purple was a boy that people remember it there. The same way yellow is associated with girls over here in the US. It is really unfortunate to see PR stuck in so many issues with making money, I do wonder how much better (if at all) PR would be if it had an avenue like Premium Bandai where it can sell lots of made to order stuff instead of mass production.
If I'm not mistaken, the first violet ranger in Japan was 2007's Gekiranger. I'm looking over at my ranger key wall, if there was another it was some extra hero that I'm not thinking of right now, still on my first coffee. And now in 2024 we've just had a few more purples in Sentai. More than there used to be, for sure. Somebody really needs to find a way to bring in kids. The adult fans either have everything they want already, hate everything, are out of space/no money, or some combination of those. You'll see those comments on every pre-order link or sale post. "That's cool, wish I had money." "I'd buy that if I had space." So, I'm not really sure what all fans are wanting these days, every company (from the Sabans/Hasbros to smaller vendors/artists), all say the same thing, fans aren't buying anything. We saw the same thing with our etsy and shirt store, tons of people begging and begging, we make the thing, sales are between 0 - 3. We had tried to get a toy store to sponsor us at one point and did a trial thing with them, 4 million views, almost nobody clicked the store link, so bad they couldn't even offer us store credit. Super7 had to cancel PR figures due to not meeting factory minimum, and then they're sold out of those Thundercats vehicles/sets ranging from $450 - $800. I'm trying to be gentle in these videos, but this fandom really does not support much, as a whole. (Some do, certainly not directed at them, but companies need bigger numbers)
@@MMPRtoys yeah I agree the only way PR will grow is through kids, even the p-Bandai store is still selling it kids to, it’s just they only produce around what they pre-order instead of mass producing. It just makes me wonder if that would have helped. I know it wouldn’t single handledly fix everything, or enough stuff, I am just curious, especially with how Sentai has been leaning harder and harder into p-Bandai over the past 3 years
Mystic Force/Magiranger had easily one of my favorite suits and aesthetic out of the 2000s season. I had the original two parter on DVD so that whole beginning is such a core memory of mine. Magical Source Mystic Force! ❤💚💛💙🩷
Also cute story. When our Toy R Us was going out of business, the two ranger figures left where White and Red (this was during Ninja Steel) and as a proud #TeamBruno, I bought White over Red 😊 🤍
So fun fact with hasbro they use to basically not make female transformers figures until fans started to ask for them so they used one very bad mold for all of them, so fans complained online saying that the characters deserved better figures and so in the last 3 years Hasbro has been making more diverse molds for female characters and they sell really well
Companies honestly do take fan feedback. They're for-profit companies, their main goal is to sell things, it's in their best interest to make what fans say they want. No disagreement there. In the PR community, step two is generally missing. Fans did say they wanted girls, monsters, more articulation, fancier figures, improved Megazords, Japanese imports, you name it, we were getting it, but if it wasn't Tommy as the green ranger, or the MMPR Megazord, not many fans were actually buying. Sure, some were, but not in the numbers to justify continued releases. 😕 Then you've got Super7 having no trouble funding that $450 vehicle or $800 Cats Lair, while in the PR community, couldn't fund Tigerzord or Madame Woe. Thundercats, really...? This fandom as a whole doesn't support a lot of things, despite being very vocal online.
And now it reaches the point where Hasbro now says each wave they try to have at least 1 female character for transformers. And from what I seen they seem to sell very well.
But as previously explained, that would have been released in 2018, at which time our toys were being cancelled as Hasbro had bought the show and many things never went into production from Bandai that were planned, including my 5 inch Rita! More 2017 movie toys were also cancelled, as well as Legacy.
I will slightly argue that bit of whether the lack of Cosmic Fury figures is a fail or not, since they literally DESIGNED those suits for toys...Then didn't do the toys. They stuck us with the ugly, but didn't commit to it. But to throw a bone in your argument's direction, that's kind of Cosmic Fury's merchandising in a nutshell. Somehow, a season produced when the show was literally owned by a toy company has the least merchandise I think they've ever produced. Even Alien Rangers got a few figures. Basically, the failure of not making figures is just consistent with everything else. And Mystic Force is one of my soft spots. Like, yeah, I can see why others don't like it, but I vibed with it. Even managed to score the American morpher for $20 last year, which was pretty cool.
I wasn't involved with Hasbro like I was with Saban/Bandai, I can just say it takes time to design and put toys into production. I'm sure by Cosmic Fury they already knew they were shutting down with Power Ranger toys. I knew quite a bit in advance that Bandai and Saban were splitting before that was made public, and Bandai did indeed shut down and cancel a good number of things that were designed and meant to come out in 2018+. I believe Cosmic Fury was kinda rushed. It just didn't work out, but maybe we'll get Cosmic Fury from Playmates. I'm sure there's a story there, it probably goes something like that and yada yada toy sales yada.
I had so many thoughts I had to make a whole video!: ua-cam.com/video/IsL1lZHi3Nw/v-deo.html Check out some of the videos you've been missing, lots of good stuff! 😀
That's what I thought... I've got people below claiming they saw it at the Disney Store. Of course a lot of the things we didn't get that people remember owning or seeing, they do not actually have today. I'm 99% positive Koragg did not have a Zord in the US (though it was released in the UK). I've got people below also saying they saw him here, and Lauren from Samurai, again I'm 99% positive she was UK exclusive...
@@MMPRtoys You’re right about Centaurus Wolf Megazord, it was an Argos exclusive IIRC (don’t know if it made it to any other European territories). Lauren didn’t get an official US release but did appear in the UK, Australia and Europe as the blindboxed ‘Samurai Mystery Figure’, which no doubt definitely helped its sales numbers.
With other franchises like Transformers they make Decepticons and people buy them. If they release the Centaurus Wolf Megazord, that could be the milestone where the bad guys get a zord that can combine with the Rangers.
Transformers isn't Power Rangers though, and the consumer behavior is different. I was (and still am) a huge TMNT fan. Never in my life did I hear someone say they were skipping Don b/c he wears purple. This thing with not buying "girl" colors is very much a this-fandom thing. I've heard it from the fans, and I've seen it from parents in stores too. Centaurus Wolf Megazord was a UK exclusive, and a few people are telling me it didn't sell very well there either. That was back in 2006, but if you went to my Target this very minute you'd still find girls shelf warming.
What do you mean? Social media is how fan voices got heard at companies, and we got the things we asked for (...which sadly didn't sell) but, we almost had a good thing going!
@@MMPRtoysArgos is still around. They don’t do this anymore but they used to give out these massive catalogs with everything they sold and I would always grab the latest copy as that was how I found out about new power rangers stuff, in fact when I was little my dream job was argos simply because that was where I got my power rangers toys. I was a very simple child lol.
The funny thing is, you mention the situation A purple zord What makes me laugh as I was about to argue seeing as Korags mega old is in the thumbnail my literal first thought was that you were gonna bring that up again and I was ready to point out. It only was a problem for the US and Canada to not get that one. However I will point out that though I did see a lot of it here in the UK it was piled high in discount stores so that could also add to your argument that for some people, they were not buying the purple zords not to mention the phenix unizord for some reason got released here very early on in the toyline
Hmm, so UK people weren't so big on Koragg? I guess I'm not surprised. Phoenix Unizord was an odd release, wasn't it in just one episode? Vs Centaurus Wolf Megazord which was in many? But, of the two, one was for the red ranger. I guess Bandai felt they had to stick to the show/Japan packaging, I'm surprised they didn't try replacing Koragg with the red ranger, and sell it that way. That was also a real show combination, maybe Centaurus Phoenix Megazord would have appealed to more US fans? I think that one appeared just as many times as the other did... (then sneak that combining Koragg figure into some other release. I know it would have pissed off other fans... not sure if that makes it better or worse)
I did a video on the Playmates news. Nothing new from LC since last year. I don't know what's happening in the future. For now Hasbro is not making new toys, Playmates will release figures in 2025. There was some vague mention of what I assume was Hasbro Pulse & conventions having PR things for sale, but I don't know what those items might be. Whenever I have real news I do share it here.
Well, we will be getting new things from Playmates next year, I don't know what exactly they'll be making, but they'll be the main PR maker it sounds like. It wasn't clear if Hasbro will make more things and sell them through Pulse/cons, I'm leaning towards not, but I really don't know what's planned. (I'm also not trying to force people to buy things they don't actually want... just trying to help everyone understand why certain decisions get made)
I personal don’t watch super sentai Bruno, but I did watch ALL of mydtic force… I wished they had explained a bit upon how Rita became good but they just said…”Rita in the old days…now she’s in charge of good magic” something like that and they never touched upon that EVER agian like it was a HUGE misstep but overall…I loved mystic force
Machiko Soga passed away during Mystic Force filming. I heard they included her at the very end as a tribute to the actress and an easter egg for fans, but it wasn't the focus of Mystic Force. I thought it was a fun easter egg, Mystic Force didn't need a whole story about Rita Repulsa, there was plenty going in that season. Just a nice thing they added for us.
Hey now to be fair that purple zord(the one that rides the horse) ive seen that in Biglots in the mid 2000's....i mean sure it was a knock off called like "Super changeable horse rider black knight sky night save world" but it was there and thats technically an American release lol
We had no new updates on the reboot since the showrunner announcement 2 years ago lol Hasbro was the downfall of Hasbro. They've been making boneheaded decisions across all their lines. I'm not even really sure why they bought Power Rangers anymore. Especially when you consider Transformers was created by combining 2 unrelated toylines from Japan. But then they decided to cut ties with Power Rangers' Sentai roots? I just don't get what their goal was lol
The ceo at hasbro loved power rangers so he bought the brand with the intention of making it as big as it had ever been, but then he sadly and suddenly passed away, with the new ceo not caring for power rangers at all, leading to the mess we're in now.
@@georgemitchell6856 Probably a big issue for sure. Toys R Us also closed. We had a pandemic that messed up a whole bunch of things too. A whole bunch of things happened all at once, while the fanbase is also shrinking and spending less. And Saban sold b/c he wasn't happy with how PR was doing then (and the movie did lousy). Sounds like Hasbro is still trying to do things and Playmates will have a new line next year, but somebody needs to bring in new fans.
@@4B5R I'm wondering what you saw, that was never officially released in the US, though it was in the UK. Do you have photos or anything of the American packaging? This is the first I've heard of that.
I still feel it had to be intentional that Hasbro deliberately didn't include the two colors that never sold well. Like I don't think its a coincidence that yellow and pink were forever absent lol
We had two years of Beast Morphers which had yellow. Then of course had to go with a dino season, which is generally a guaranteed winner with Power Rangers, Ryusoulger didn't have yellow. Same two years as Beast Morphers. We got the Once & Always special where yellow was a bit of the focus. Cosmic Fury was kinda thrown together last minute, no pink, yellow, or purple rangers in that, for sure. But they did go with yellow in the Megazord they released, the one toy they put out. They could have replaced that with orange, I guess. Hasbro really made a lot of girls. They did two Ritas, two Astronemas, got Psychos & A-Squad and many other main team rangers. The only RPM LC figure we got was female. So, it's not that they didn't release girls. Girls just ended up not selling well. But... then there was that ZEO pink ranger two pack, that one did go fast and then nobody could find it ever again. I guess fans wanted that one. (They couldn't give Aisha vs Scorpina away though. I was so happy to finally have a good Scorpina!)
@@MMPRtoys Thats a really good point yeah, I honestly hadn't thought about it from that perspective, thank you for your really well thought out insight Its honestly such a shame how even in the kamen rider side of things, girl stuff just doesn't often sell well. I know its a lot harder to gauge when importing stuff, but still. This years secondary rider is a girl which is great! Even has her own little attachments to the belt. However, likely cause she's a girl, her stuff was relegated to premium bandai. I've seen a lot of complaints and I myself am upset its a lot harder to get, but I do often wonder how many of those complaints would translate to sales if the toy was easier to get a hold of Like hell they finally released a female belt from a decade ago, and I and many others only bought it when it was like $16 on amazon vs the $80 or so it msrp'd for
@@MMPRtoys It didn’t matter since the action figure line stop before they can make any for cosmic fury. They didn’t even do a limited set for the hardcore fans.

Mr. Bandai-America got mugged by Barney once, and that's why they're spiteful towards purple.
In fairness most of the MCU female characters after Endgame are genuinely awful people or completely irrelevant.
@@jeggsonvohees2201 your thoughts on post MCU content is besides the point I was making.
@@jeggsonvohees2201 except I didn’t
bring up Endgame, I brought up AoU.
Great video Bruno, really interesting history on PR toys. I always seen the female rangers peg warming in my area.
I love Mystic Force, I can understand why its underrated. Not the norm as far as power ranger goes.
Thank you!
This may not help your theory, but there were stil Beast X King morphers on some store shelves in the UK (Farmfoods had a whole load of them just delivered about August/September time!)
We're a fickle bunch, Power Ranger fans 🙈😂
Females don't sell doing that killed the brand
I was actually just thinking about the Mystic Force display shelf, so this video was perfect timing!
Mystic Force was an enjoyable binge watch when I revisited it in 2021. I’m one of those weirdos who probably enjoys it more than S.P.D.
I really did love Mystic Force, I think it's a very underrated season.
I was so pissed we never got the wolf king megazord in the American toy line
@@MMPRtoys right, that's basically what I was saying.
Seeing the white version of the purple wolf guy unlocked a memory for me. I had that figure when I was a kid. No clue what happened to it but I remember having it.
Not surprised we’d get a part 3 to this, but eh I’m not complaining, it’s nice to learn about this.
I’m enjoying Bruno’s Ted talk
In Australia we did get the mystery Samurai Figure which was the female red ranger
@@MMPRtoysMagiranger also had a movie which showed us magitopia
Really loved the zords in mystic force. Such a shame we never got them all
Just missing Koragg though, easy to import from Japan.
It was the same for the UK, we never got the Pacyzord or Centarus Wolf Megazord.
Are you positive you didn't get Wolf Meg in the UK? I'm almost positive I've seen a box for it, UK exclusive. I learned about that much later in an old video where I said it was never released, someone from the UK said they had it. Almost positive I confirmed it did indeed exist.
We had centarus in the uk, my best friend had it when I was younger
Fun fact- the centaurs wolf megastord released in Europe. I also have it
I know. But not in the US.
Loved magiranger. Wolfkaiser was the first mecha I bought, in the series.
Funny enough, we did get the wolf megazord in the UK
What would be the best wolzard figure to go with the lightning collection I’m thinking about buying one, but I don’t know what would be in scale
I wish Hasbro just sold Cosmic Fury toys on Hasbro Pulse like a limited run. Kinda like how they did the ZAP megazords.
Maybe Playmates will do them?
Most young boys aren't interested in female character toys, they naturally gravitate toward male heroes, kind like how Barbie is mostly a girl brand.
On the topic of purple zords did we ever get the jingle furry world zord in America or did we not
Have you done any like top 5 or top 10 favorite power ranger and or super sentai videos?
This is really more of a creative animation/VFX channel. People always ask us for top 10s and more regular things, so we do them, but it's not really our focus over here.
I always wanted a catastros mainly for the other mode you can do with the white horse
@@MMPRtoys And he was the one of the best parts of his show. RJ is one of the best mentors in all of PR.
Weirdly, purple rangers don't sell well, kids like gold or silver better.
I’ve been loving the mystic force content!!!!!!
Could some more mystic force videos be possible???
Magiranger in my top 5 favorite sentai shows
you know, its actually not only happen at US,its also happen on my country. like ive been in so many toys r us,aeon, and hobby shop.didnt see any red, blue, black and gold rangers from dino fury. guess what? only a pink ranger, green ranger and a bunch of monster figure.
They also never released the submarine surfer zord from ninja steel in America, which did appear in the show in America
Guess it's confirmed BoonBoom will never get localized, considering their sixth ranger is purple.
He's in this video! :)
@@MMPRtoys well, I mean an American version, whereas that's the Japanese version.
there was a UK release of the wolfkaiser and it was identical to the japanese version (the Wolfkaiser was/is one of the best DX Megazords for sure).. mystic force was a terrible power rangers season, however magiranger was a really good super sentai season, i feel thats similar with a lot of seasons (2006 and onwards) where the power rangers adaptation is really bad but the super sentai is really good (e.g. boukenger, shinkenger, go onger were all really good but their power rangers counter part were all so bad), i feel like power rangers has been dead for a couple years now its basically 20 min adverts for little kids, as an adult or 'older fan' power rangers fails in every way, i think best thing is to watch super sentai like more recent super sentai have terrible 'zord/mecha' designs but atleast you may have an interesting story/plot (recently saw timeranger and it was very good, great story, great characters, great everything, and time force aswell is one of the best power ranger seasons).
Loving Boonboomger.
can you showcase all your mystic force figures :( would really love a closer look at Solaris
Growing up, my favorite color was and still is black. So it upset me as a kid the US didn't get Koragg's black horse zord. But instead we got the white version when Nick got it.
How am I able to watch the new Sentai Series in america? I'm a huge fan of Sentai and have no idea how to watch those seasons
That color scheme is exactly what would work with the unizord combination.
loved the Magiranger toy line
easily my favorite megazord designs in the franchise and i will forever be mad i was never able to get the SRC Magiking
I'm still waiting for lightning collection Wolf Warrior from Mystic Force.
I did see the American box like that back at powermorphicon 2018 ago but they didn’t released it back in 2006
Perhaps you saw the UK release being sold at a con, Bandai America did not release this in America. You can find all sorts of things at PMC, from all over the country.
@@MMPRtoys true!

@@MMPRtoys wow idk how you could afford all these power ranger stuff that’s like awesome.
Magical source mystic force
And the American Magistaff was more show accurate though some paint was missing, plus both American and Japanese versions never released Udonna/Magi Mothers snowflake symbol for the Magi Staff.
Despite missing blue & pink, I do prefer Bandai America's staff over Japan's.

We didn't get the purple Sub Surfer Zord from Super Ninja Steel in America either.
Hey Bruno what do you think about the power rangers toy line taken over by playmates
I had so many thoughts I had to make a whole video!: ua-cam.com/video/IsL1lZHi3Nw/v-deo.html Check out some of the videos you've been missing, lots of good stuff! 😀
Red Koragg didn't make it to release, but that promo figure DID make its way into a collector's hands.
That is why we should not trust social media when it comes to this things.
What do you mean? Social media is how fan voices got heard at companies, and we got the things we asked for (...which sadly didn't sell) but, we almost had a good thing going!
@@MMPRtoysIt can warp people's perspective.
@@000Charger Don't be one of those people that lets fake things fool them. Think about things logically and you'll be fine.
@MMPRtoys I understand, I just meant the companies could regret listening as you showed.
Fun Fact: Centaurus Wolf Megazord may have not been released in the US but it was a Argos store Exclusive here in the UK 🙂
I think you're the first to give me a store name. So Argos is where it was sold? Never heard of that/knew that until now. Does that place still exist?
@@MMPRtoysArgos is still around. They don’t do this anymore but they used to give out these massive catalogs with everything they sold and I would always grab the latest copy as that was how I found out about new power rangers stuff, in fact when I was little my dream job was argos simply because that was where I got my power rangers toys. I was a very simple child lol.
@@MMPRtoys Yeah Argos is still around but it's now within a supermarket called Sainsbury's 🙂😎👍
@@17samuraispiritred Don't know why, but the name Sainsbury's does ring a bell for me...
You never got the centurus wolf megazord in the us? but I can definitely say 100% we got it in the uk at least as I remember having it growing up
I know a lot of people have said they had it in the UK, but in the US it wasn't released for sure.
is it true the lightening collection has been cancelled?
I did a video on the Playmates news. Nothing new from LC since last year. I don't know what's happening in the future. For now Hasbro is not making new toys, Playmates will release figures in 2025. There was some vague mention of what I assume was Hasbro Pulse & conventions having PR things for sale, but I don't know what those items might be. Whenever I have real news I do share it here.
Your purple theories bring up a lot of 😮 moments. Why didnt we think of this before ???
If Hasbro ever makes more Power Rangers toys. Fans have to buy every single one, including the female ones
(I'm also not trying to force people to buy things they don't actually want... just trying to help everyone understand why certain decisions get made)
I personal don’t watch super sentai Bruno, but I did watch ALL of mydtic force…
I wished they had explained a bit upon how Rita became good but they just said…”Rita in the old days…now she’s in charge of good magic” something like that and they never touched upon that EVER agian like it was a HUGE misstep but overall…I loved mystic force
I remember trying to find the Jungle Fury Ranger figures but couldn't find yellow for a long time.
Hey now to be fair that purple zord(the one that rides the horse) ive seen that in Biglots in the mid 2000's....i mean sure it was a knock off called like "Super changeable horse rider black knight sky night save world" but it was there and thats technically an American release lol
I never knew about that, do you have any photos/links? I can't find any info anywhere... (that was really the name?)
We had no new updates on the reboot since the showrunner announcement 2 years ago lol
Hasbro was the downfall of Hasbro.
I don't know what's doin' at Hasbro. 😕
Ironically, they did release it in the US, but you could only get it at big lots and it was cheap to buy, but also made cheap
Which thing are you referring to...?
@@MMPRtoys sorry i’m meant to say Wolkaizer
@@4B5R I'm wondering what you saw, that was never officially released in the US, though it was in the UK. Do you have photos or anything of the American packaging? This is the first I've heard of that.
@@MMPRtoys I still have the package, but it someplace in my storage building, because I had recently moved,
you sure it's not a Bootleg? Big Lots actually carried a lot of bootleg stuff, I remember getting bootleg Japanese only Transformers at Big Lots
Love Mystic Force, never watched Magi Ranger. I want to but really do not have the time sadly
@@MMPRtoys Thats a really good point yeah, I honestly hadn't thought about it from that perspective, thank you for your really well thought out insight
Its honestly such a shame how even in the kamen rider side of things, girl stuff just doesn't often sell well. I know its a lot harder to gauge when importing stuff, but still.
This years secondary rider is a girl which is great! Even has her own little attachments to the belt. However, likely cause she's a girl, her stuff was relegated to premium bandai. I've seen a lot of complaints and I myself am upset its a lot harder to get, but I do often wonder how many of those complaints would translate to sales if the toy was easier to get a hold of
Like hell they finally released a female belt from a decade ago, and I and many others only bought it when it was like $16 on amazon vs the $80 or so it msrp'd for
@@MMPRtoys It didn’t matter since the action figure line stop before they can make any for cosmic fury. They didn’t even do a limited set for the hardcore fans.
