Where did you purchase the star screw? I went to a volkswagen dealer and they didnt have it and couldnt tell me where i could buy one

very nice job ... I like that you walk it through with minor misses, but explain how to fix that. the "clip part" had me a little confused. also, MOST importantly, I plan to buy the mirror from a local auto salvage. as we know, VW made 2 Jetta models in 2005. mine is the first. it isn't power, but has "defrost". no puddle lamp like the newer 2005. would a 2004 be the same as what I need?

Okay. You may want to invest in a camera mount like a GoPro or something to make it a bit clearer, but overall, I got what I needed to know out of the video. Remove door panel, remove speaker cover, remove mirror with torque bit after unfastening wires. Reverse for installation. And as for Hillman Wents who commented below, consider the source who just called you an idiot. Hillman - it's "you're an idiot" not "your." Ummm whose the idiot?
