Loved this Series & used to watch in its original days. This episode reminded me of doing the Charleston for/in a program in our gym in Junior High School. Loads of Fun!
I love this british comdey series😍. I kno it's just an act ... but I find Hester obnoxious sometimes, how her husband puts up with her ... Gosh. But both are a cute cuddly couple.
That's point in show, as you can see from titles of him sitting in rocking chair, and her trying new things. Now their kids have left home she wants to try fresh things, but he's happy to be boring
Thank you! I was wondering if she was the lady buying a dressing gown-"Little things mean a lot". Interesting how, on "Are You Being Served," she was posh, and on this program, not so posh. Good acting, that.
She was called Geraldine Gardner and died at only 37 in 1987 from suicide on a beach. Apparently hypothermia after walking into the sea. She had had twins and was suffering post partum depression. Sad. She seemed to have everything going for her but clearly the depression got the better of her
And your comment is appallingly tedious- it's just an 80s situation comedy, you should be more appalled that it's not funny than it being sexist , arrange a protest or complain to the BBC
I'm a Brit junkie! This is one of my fave shows. I love them.
One of my favorite episodes of this series and the TV series that turned me onto Britcoms back in the 1980's.
The dance at the end is super !
Terrific - what a fine dancer Anton Rodgers was
It really is they are so good..My grannie danced the Charleston..
Thank you Dave Smith for uploading these episodes of Fresh Fields! I am thoroughly enjoying them!!!

Ah hahaha... That laugh. Mrs. Henshaws laugh makes me laugh every-time. I never get sick of it.

Thanks so much for your work from the USA!!!!
brilliant episode still love watching these. ❤😅
It's Only Sonia!
What a great laugh Miss Henshaw has. She and Jimmy Carr should be in a room together :P
The horror!😉 I am having some problems- on "AYBS?", she was so posh and refinded; here, well, just a tad whiff of common. But it was the '80s...

@@SuzLa1What has that got to do with being obnoxious?
The laugh 😂😂😂
The script writing and acting doesn't get much better! Halcyon days....
british sitcoms as a whole far far far better, more intelligent, better acted, directed than Amercian counterparts.
I thought I recognized the woman who played Miss Henshaw. She was on an episode of Are You Being Served S7 E2 Strong Stuff This Insurance.

do you know how many kitchen scene meals where anton rodgers goes to town and actually really eats - almost every episode.
Where have I seen Miss Denham before? Was she the cantankerous shopkeeper on"To the Manor Born"?
Yep!
Yes and long before that she played one of the original characters in Coronation Street
We had a neighbour in the 80s who was built similar to Sonia and used to walk into our house saying "Its only me"
I wonder if they really cooked in that kitchen, they always had food.
Lemon suits Anton
