ı agree with you , I suffered panic attacks when I was in high school due to exams. I can understand Selena, I support her as a Muslim fan, the most important thing is she is a good-hearted girl, she hurt a lot she lost a lot confident about herself for her past. I can feel from a performance she is still suffering but she will be better ı am sure about İT.I will support her .

she had a panic attack before and couldn’t hear herself bc of technical issues. also, there’s videos of her from the venue where she sounds a lot better bc the amas messed up the mixing so what was broadcasted wasn’t accurate!

I AM SO GLAD THERES A POSITIVE REACTION FOR ONCE!!! It has been confirmed that her earpiece was going in and out during the first song and that she had a panic attack. She messed up she knew it and she kept going because she’s a true artist with great strengths!
the audio engineers said her earpiece malfunctioned so she couldn’t hear herself speak and she DID have a panic attack before performing because a journalist confirmed it. she still powered through it I’m still proud of her. love you and your positive attitude tori

Yna Harrison she hasn’t performed in years, she suffers from anxiety. Lupus affects her vocals , and she said it herself. She said she’s not the best singer and she focuses on her message and emotions more. She has definitely improved since her Disney days, there are clips here on UA-cam that shows it and she has a voice coach. End of discussion.

Not comparing to other artists but ppl will give so much love to ppl like Miley and Katy saying they had issues with their spouses like divorce before a performance and stuck three it and they were amazing, yet Selena has a panic attack and her earpiece was off a lot and ppl wanna hate on her. I heard after her performance people were complimenting her and saying she sang really good. And she just disagreed with all of those comment and I felt so bad. Billboard has announced her earpiece wasn’t working and that the stereo was not mixed well especially because of the arena bouncing off the walls.
There was a video recorded by a fan at the arena that sounded better, because the mixing wasn't well done

I love your response and your take on life. I will admit I didn’t think this was a good performance, but it’s a tough song for her and she was nervous. How many of us have presented a project and were nervous. Give her a break. The lyrics to the song is great and we will hear her sing another time and it’ll improve more and more ❤️❤️
Thank you for recognizing & distinguishing that everyone's voices are different & unique to their own atleast you're aware & make it known I agree with your statement as long as you have a message to spread & a voice to be heard that's the most important & beautiful thing to be heard I've loved Selena for a really long time been a huge fan from the start although her performance isn't at best I'm so proud of her for being up there & putting herself in that position especially if it was said she was having trouble & all I do condemn her for still going up there to showcase everything she's been through despite everything she put her best effort forth I know Selena can deliver in performing she has those days but regardless I don't think Selena is a terrible singer at all. 💕 + it's probably been awhile since she's been on stage let alone performed honestly though if you know her other live performances have been pretty good people just choose to nitpick whenever they get the opportunity only because they expect Selena to be the next someone but Selena is Selena I never understood comparisons when everyone's voice is unique to their own. thank you for the reaction as always :) 💕
i have panic attacks and anxiety attacks and let me tell you this queen is sooooo brave. I admire her bravery for going out to sing in that state. After having a panic attack it becomes a bit hard to breath. So please no more hate for the queen all she deserves is love and appreciation.

I love her songs as well, but she doesn't write or produce them, she just sings them. So shouldn't she at least sing them well with more consistency? And I think we should expect more from performers. Her performance was mediocre in all aspects and, sure, she's human, but she's also been given a major platform.
I'm a singer and I suffer from panic attacks, and it certainly does affect the voice via tension in the vocal and breathing muscles. However, Selena's voice has never been exceptional. This could absolutely be due to performance anxiety (I been there), but in that case, I think she needs to work on her technique better in order to cope with that before she is given so many performance opportunities.
I'm not saying she should stop singing or making music. I am, however, saying that she should try to enhance her singing skills.

As someone who has dealt with clinical anxiety for my entire life, can we just talk about how much credit she deserves for even making it to the stage after or WHILE fighting through a panic attack and know she wasn’t doing her best.

That makes me sad and it makes me remember so many things. I went through with panic attacks. I feel I feel for her and I get the reason why she feels disappointed. I can really, really understand that
Yes she may have a good heart but there are other musicians and artists that aren’t recognized at the level she is and should be. Her songs aren’t even deep they are generic pop songs . She doesn’t write them it’s a team of songwriters (which every pop singer has) if your job is to PERFORM music and you’ve been doing it this long then you should be able to perform well consistently. I’m not the best singer either but I practice and try to improve. I don’t think she should stop singing or doing what she loves because that stands against everything I believe in but it hurts as an artist to see someone who has all the resources to improve. Yes she sounds good in studio because of all the production that goes behind it.
Well, have you ever wondered why aren't you successful even tho you are practicing as you said? Well because you don't feel that passionate or maybe you don't know how to interact with people unlike her she knows how to interact with people and make her music relatable. Try it because it does not matter if you have a good voice at the end of the day what it really matters is that you are able to connect through people. She has her voice, she knows how to engage people. End

wow im subbed such a open minded reaction not just bashing her
Billboard uploaded that there were sounds issues with the first part of Selena's performance. She didn’t heard anything because she had a problem with her earpiece. And in live she sounded so much better than in the TV. As you can see, in lose you to love me there’s a part where she starts to sing late because of that problem and while the performance is continuing she’s improving, she actually ends good and she nailed it In look at her now, she’s more confident. Also, there are news that have said she suffered a panic attack before the performance
Aside of this, this is her first big performance over 2 years, and she has gone through a lot like: lupus, anxiety, depression and a toxic relationship. What she did was so brave so stop talking shit about her, she has a beautiful tone voice and she can sing.

If you'd be open to it, I'd love to see you react to LOONA! They are a 12 member K-Pop girl group that is very unique. Each album of theirs focuses on a different concept and music genre, making their discography diverse and appealing to a wide range of listeners. Their music videos are all connected through an ongoing storyline that creatively incorporates messages of empowerment like breaking away societal norms, standing up for what you believe in and learning to love yourself.
I highly recommend their most recent song "Butterfly" because music video is empowering and wonderfully done. The choreography is also incredible so I recommend also checking out a dance practice or live performance if you check do it out!

Back in middle school we would have a field trip to god knows where, EVERY YEAR we would have the same field trip. Back when I was in 7th grade Selena was there being the host. Everyone was screaming in excitement asking her to sing a song and she said no and started to cry.
It was at that moment were I started to dislike her (sorry?)

This was definitely her worst performance but she can do WAY better and y’all know it. Something was wrong but I’ll just say nothing more.

I’m honestly disgusted by the people who were talking bad about her. They keep saying a panic attack isn’t an excuse, YES THE HECK IT IS. I want you to try and go out on stage to sing live after having a fricken panic attack. People in this world are so disgusting and rude and most of all immature.
Performing it's not easy, yes that's why you charge people for your show. The least you can do it's to entertain them, without cheating.

I mean Selena hasn't performed live in 2 years. So she was definitely nervous. Obviously since she has lupus, panic attacks are the symptoms of that. So, it must be true that she did have a panic attack before she sang and it looks obvious. So people should give her a break and it's true even the greatest singers have bad performances too. She did has good performance but haters just ignored it and when she did her performance badly, they will come out and say 'She can't sing' ‘She can't dance', and even some of them pretend to be her fan and say 'I am her fan, but she really can't sing' etc, obviously they just can't help for their jealousy. We all know that how much she has improved during Revival Tour and she even did well during recent Live, singing the song Anxiety with Julia. Selena is not top singer but doesn't mean she CANT SING.
From this performance we can tell she was really nervous, her voice was shaky and she forgot some of her lyrics and dance moves. But Billboard has said there her earpiece was off at the start of the performance, E!News has said that she had panic attack before performance plus she hasn't been performing on this kind of big stage for years, of cause she will be nervous. She care about the performance too much and she always wants to show her best to her fans thats why she was nervous. We all understand this.
However, singer is her job and delivering good performance is her professional. We know that she can actually do this and sing well for these two songs (she sings good during rehearsal) but I think currently she hasn't ready for the stage yet and she pushed herself too hard cause she knows that her fans are waiting for her. As a fan I rather she performs only when she is really ready for it and shows us what she can actually do, instead of doing bad performance and giving the haters chance to bring her down. She doesnt need to push herself too hard as her fans are willing to wait for her cause good things are worth for the wait.
Hope she wont get affected by the hates and continue to sing and perform the songs and I believe she will get better nxt time.
Ignore the hates and make it a motivation for you to keep going and prove yourself !!

Selena get sympathy bc her life is everyone’s soap opera 🙄 respectfully i always felt like Selena’s music was a sideshow to her real-life drama. People aren’t even as drawn to her musically aside from the drama, they’re always invested in her sob story first, and the music becomes an extension of that story, from her association to Justin, to the lupus, to the rehab, to Abel, those are the songs that get buzz. All of her recent song were underperforming until she decided to do another of her “story songs” that the press go bananas over. When there’s a song that doesn’t attach to any narrative it get crickets bc nobody outside of her stan base cares.
I think her nerves are because she’s well aware of her own lack of vocal ability. She’s always been self-aware about that, even when her fandom isn’t. Despite the criticisms I’m still a Selena fan and I’ll be listening to the album. 🧐
Thank you as a Selena stan for years this review expresses everything accurately. I love her but i'm not blind to her talents or lack thereof... Waiting for Selena comeback hopefully her new album shows her growth.
