This information, as collated here, should be sent to every congress person and senators as well as every pro gun group. I'd suggest that it go to media outlets but you know they'd lose the information or twist it.

Yes, they do. That allows them to conflate legally made firearms with illegally modified firearms. As a lawyer would say "words matter".
On the "Ghost Gun", I wonder if it was a home built one or more likely a gun with the serial numbers scratched off.

Thank you for doing the map earlier. If you could make a graph showing the difference between shootings during work/school hours vs shootings that occur after hours, it would be helpful for me (and others) visualize the vast difference between rampage shootings and conflict shootings/gang violence.
Thank you for your concise and easily shared categorizing of shootings. It makes it so much easier to explain to friends and family what is REALLY going on, with gun involved violence.

The murder/suicide could also have been (unfortunately) and elderly husband or wife, "assisting" their ill partner to die without lingering and suffering pain, and then deciding to join them. It does happen. I've "experienced" that happening two different times, in two different neighborhoods. One was for a spouse with cancer. The other was for a spouse that had suffered a massive stroke. I was a teenager and I remember them to this day. Sad. 😢

I live in Huntsville Alabama…..I saw the shooting at the bar that bar that injured 5 people on the news, because this is our town so obviously it made the local news. There look to be a lot of shootings in Alabama this last month, however I’ve not heard about ANY of them on the local news. A thousand people in the crowd where 18 were shot in a field where they were throwing a party and 3 of them died!? Why did I not hear about that?? Because they were all of the same race? Because an “assault weapon” wasn’t used? Apparently some dude was looking for another for at least a couple weeks, so when he found him amongst hundreds of other party goers, he shot, and shot, and shot some more. Apparently the police confiscated “multiple firearms”, and “multiple phones”. They arrested one guy and only charged him with assault, and let him bond out!!! Then when they let him out they arrested him immediately for a warrant for receipt of stolen goods or something like that, and he bailed out again! What the heck is going on around here!!??

When I asked Google what the definition of a "mass shooting" was, it showed that the term was defined as a shooting where 4 or more people--not counting the shooter--are injured. For 2022 the daily average number of "mass shootings" was two (2). The daily average for 2022 of deaths as a result of "mass shootings" was two (2). Same year, the daily average number of deaths by drunk drivers was 39. Same year, the daily average number of deaths from illegal drugs was over 300. Out of those over 300, over 200 were from fentanyl made in Mexico with precursor chemicals brought from Communist China and smuggled across the border with Mexico. Which gets the attention? Which gets the press? Is it deserved? Where should our priorities lie?

I view websites like gun violence archive as anti gun propaganda. These type of websites only serve one purpose. If they were truly concerned about public health/safety, they would collect and display the results of much more demographic information. They are scared and afraid to go there though because they know the truth.
