My man you are a saint for reviewing all of these powders, thanks! I currently have a tub of the Quest one and I think it's just ok, I haven't tried others because I want to go throught his one first. I am not sure if you covered is in any video, but Quest's is probably thicker since it has the Casein in it. UNPOPULAR OPINION - I bought a sampler pack of PE Science powders and it came with chocolate truffle. I must say that it didn't wow me at all. I just feel that all of their powders kind of taste the same (general sweet) with a chemical after taste. Thanks again for these reviews!
Good video! Thank you for the breakdown!
Thanks for the info, just trying to get into Protein ice cream this is helpful!
I bought the premier protien on amazon before watching. Glad i did!
LOVED the charts and the protein and sweetener breakdown! Great job!
Thank you very much! I knew you'd like this one!
could you break down the sweeteners in each brand, maybe put the type of protein and sweetener on the screen as you taste them? I never add more milk, but I like my ice cream and you seem to be more of a soft serve person :) @@LowCalNinja-qf4ye
@@ChristineSolazzo I'll keep that in mind for the next video. Unfortunately, with YT once it's out in the world, you can't really do much for editing. I put all those details in the description though.
Great video! Loved the charts and the protein explanations. PEScience has some of the best flavors. Love my Quest chocolate too.
I’ve tried several quest protein flavors and I like them all. I have never tried PE science.
I make ice cream with 2 cups fairlife skim milk, a scoop of dymatize cookies and cream, 6 grams of cocoa powder, a quarter teaspoon of xanthan gum, and 35 grams of erythritol and it's straight fire.
and a pinch of salt
Even though it didn't rate highly here, I do like Dymatize a lot. It just needs that extra bit of flavor like you're adding to become great.
@@LowCalNinja-qf4ye agreed. The little bit of cocoa powder and the sweetener help it a lot.
@@ahorowitz15 using dymatize must make it pretty low calorie eh? What’s the macros for the container?
@@Candyapplebone 285 calories 16C 2f 54P. Pretty sure the protein is supposed to be 52, but that's what myfitnesspal is claiming
Good receipe
if you want a frosty consistency use lite ice cream setting as the blade spins faster so it incorporates more air and gives it that whipped texture. for an ice more dense (which is something i definitely prefer) use the ice cream setting as it spins slower. both will likely require a respin
Good advice. Thanks!
Would love a vanilla edition of this! I struggle to find a delicious vanilla protein powder.
None planned at the moment, but maybe someday. In the meantime, Dymatize and PEscience but make great vanillas. Ryse has a marshmallow flavor that's great too. Clean simple eats has a lot of variations of vanilla and haven't tried many them yet.
One tip, don't use vanilla extract with vanilla protein powder. Doesn't seem to work well imo. Vanilla bean paste is where it's at if you want to add more vanilla flavoring.
Thought you were going to go with the quest after describing it so nicely. I like the quest brand for regular protein shakes personally
It was close. In retrospect, I should have given it #2.
Yaaaaay I have the number 1 & number 2 in my pantry right now 😊
Nice! You have great taste!
quest Chocolate and Fairlife Chocolate with almonds and pecans
That sounds incredible!
Loved this-would you use the same recipe for strawberry flavor-leaving out the cocoa powder? Thanks
Right now I only have 1 type of Strawberry Protein (amzn.to/3CSMGq3) and featured it in this video: ua-cam.com/video/2y0pHngqc9s/v-deo.html
I was surprised with how well that powder worked out. I got it very cheap on Amazon and bought a second.
You can add more flavor if you like the consistency
Great videos! Any chance you can make a vanilla whey protein suggestion?! Thank you for doing these!
Thanks! I've really enjoyed PEscience's vanilla, Dynamitize's vanilla, and Ryse's Marshmallow protein.
Both of the vanillas combo well with other stuff. If I were to eat it alone, I'd go with Ryse's Marshmallow.
Thank you! I appreciate it!!!
My recommendation for a vanilla whey protein happens to also be the best tasting protein powder in a creami I've yet to find and try - it is Optimum Nutrition's NATURAL vanilla (not their vanilla ice cream, but their natural vanilla). I will admit, I have not compared them to many others, but I am completely satisfied with it.
@@thesuperunknownn THANK YOU!!!!!
I have gaspari nutrition chocolate ice cream flavored isolate. I wonder if i can do the whole farelife milk and add cocoa powder and some sort of a sweetener...stevia maybe?
Is the coffee creamer you use regular or sugar free? It's a small amount but might make a world of difference.
I use the sugar free kind. 15cal/tablespoon.
Hey friend, do i really need ti add xanthan gum and that extra cream you mentioned? I dont likr to use extra i greditents. Can i just do it with protein scoop and almond milk?
You can, Xanthan Gum is going to make it a bit better texture though. Just those 2 ingredients means it's going to be more icy and less smooth.
Any aversion to cottage cheese? 1/3 cup of it + protein powder + almond milk makes for a fine texture.
@@LowCalNinja-qf4ye sure I can do with cottage cheese! How much dosage for scoop and milk. like 1-1.5 or 2 scoops of protein per 1.5 cup of milk along with the cottage cheese? Thank you.
Yay! I watched this closely and glad to see the one I use is PEScience. I agree with you -- its good. Very good. Their Pumpkin Pie is also very good.
Thanks, Terry! Any other PEScience flavors you really like? Their Chocolate Truffle & Peanut Butter flavors are probably my 2 absolute favorites to make in the Creami.
No need to add liquid between spins.
👍 For thicker ice cream, you are totally right. I tend to like lighter stuff and was just trying to be consistent on the prep.
Get ghost protein next time
How do you make it? I've tried many flavors and haven't had good results without using a double scoop.
