@@lucasp-max343 Gameplay is very solid. Thoughtful team building is expected from the player, and 99% of the time actually planning each turn in battle despite the auto mode with lots of settings. Satisfying large damage swings as a reward. It has that amazing feeling of "approaching the point where you break the game with seemingly OP interactions but not quite reaching it". If that becomes boring, the built-in TCG and rhythm game modes await :)
As a player of AE I'm exited about this game since I found it's JP version by accident through another eden Knowing the studio this game will be incredible

Yostar is just a publisher. They do all the managing stuff, with TLs, localisation, and marketing. They have quite a bit of issues too, with the 'dead week' of Arknights, where there is nothing going on for a week between patches, due to localisation or something. They are also responsible for the terrible Azur lane mobile game ads you saw a few years back.
Played the JP server, my summaries are: 1) First class story. 2) Third class combat/explore system. For Another Eden player, the combat in HBR requires longer turn to set up buff/debuff. So one might need to manage the expectations for the combat system.
Finally, I have an excuse to tell people to play Another Eden. It is another game make by WFS. It is really good, you should give it a try, especially if you are a classic JRPG fan.
I just started playing last week and it was just pure pure BANGER! Voice overs, well written characters, SOLID STORY TELLING and don't even get me started with the BGM and OSTs, just pure fire! 🔥
I've been waiting so long for this. I played on the jp servers on launch, but I stopped playing the game cuz even though I couldn't read anything the game still drove me to tears, so I decided to wait for the game to get translated.
I've already played this game in its JP version, and honestly, I can say it's got one of the best stories, even better than any Hoyoverse games. Plus, it’s totally F2P-friendly, though it might take a bit of time to build your characters. Bottom line, if you're looking for a game with an amazing story, this is a must-play. Oh, and heads up, the first-year collab banner will feature Angel Beats, so get ready!
@@Hans_E Lol yeah. Octopath Traveler: COTC has a good side story in Path of Fame. That one is great. Another Eden also has a couple of really great story lines. Unfortunately that game also has a lot of cheesy/hokey side stories. Overall still a good game. I heard Blue Archive or was it Blue Protocol has a really good one as well. Reverse 1999 has a couple of good sidequests but the main plot is pretty out there.
Finally another good JP made gacha game, absolutely loved Jun Maeda's works, nice to know that the gacha rates are fairly generous with spark. I'm kind of cautious about Yostar marketing though because their Arknights ads is pretty bad in the global servers.
Could not disagree more with the 'Gacha have some of the best storytelling out there' when the majority of them are shoddily written visual novels that never end and characters that are limited in what they can actually do outside of being cute or being traumatized. That said, the fact that the protag is a predefined person AND isn't some generic dude is a big sign it might actually be good. Clannad is goated, so that's a good sign too
There's no conflict in the statement tho. I've seen really bad ones, and I've seen gacha where it feels like you have to play it just for the story. Or are you stating that F/GO's story is bad all around, for example? How about GBF? Or even Genshin? Arknights?
Tbh all of them are a mixed bag in terms of writing, with good highs and some Bad lows. Tho as far as I could tell HBR starts strong all around with what You would expect from a solid Key release. You can tell storytelling is the Main draw and focus @@ronelm2000
@@ronelm20005 of 7 Singularity are straight up 4$$ (I like America but whatever lol), 3 of 4 pseudo singularities are 4$$ and don't add anything to the plot, Anastasia is ok but WAY too slow, Scandinavia is ok, China is ok, India is good and things start to getting REALLY good in Atlantis almost starting Olympus. I didn't count the Main Interludes because aside from Ooku and maybe Tunguska most of them are also bad or forgettable. I don't say the general story is bad but is like One Piece "It becomes good sooner or later! Just dump 50+ hours to get there, not a big deal!" Also good luck beating things like Demeter, Cernunnos or Arjuna if you don't have luck/meta units, those things are F2P nightmares. P.d: Sorry for bad english, not my main language.
As a VN enjoyer I agree that the most gacha games are poorly written only to get that money out of you. And I don't particularly like the VNs from Key studio ( have seen a lot better). But they are good. My favoirite is Rewrite. Heaven Burns Red too feels like a good VN with JRPG gameplay and gacha system is not suffocating. That's already better for me than all the gacha games I played so far

You can absolutely measure the potential on how one can only enjoy and immerse into FGO's story, depending entirely on how well versed they are to Nasuverse and that's it. I dare you pull some random person who casually enjoys anime stuff to start FGO and they will be bored out of their mind, and by the time they reach Babylonia they may be on their way to quit the game. Heck, even their yearly questionnaires do tell that more than half of new players got into starting FGO from knowing other Fate works and I'm no different. Just because I have 6 accounts, half of them being JP and having cleared Ordeal Call 3 while my NA accounts are waiting to stomp on ORT, I won't let my love for a game cloud my judgement on how it can be very different for someone else who didn't open the same door as I had (meaning having not familiarize with Fate works before playing FGO). On a side note, whenever I mention FGO to my girlfriend, who has cleared lostbelt 6, she only talks about Arjuna Alter and Skadi with her eenie meenie mo skill voiceline lmao. She doesn't give a rat's ass about the story and definitely doesn't remember why the Olympus Gods are machines. Heaven Burns Red, like anything else Jun Maeda cooked, has an A grade, self contained story where nobody needs to look anywhere else on the Wiki or fan hypotheses threads on why some characters turn out they way they are. It literally takes just the name Altria to trigger FGO fans, let alone Fate as a whole.
Coming back to this vid after finishing ch4 pt1 (no spoilers dw). I must thx u for this vid, I wasn’t expecting myself to be so immersed with this game I always have a biases on disliking the gacha game but the more I play HBR, more I can feel that they do respect their playerbase and the story is so damn well done. I usually skip many games story as some aren’t making me interested enough to actually read it.
Before watching this video, i already played it.. and i see this heart warming story with sunshine and rainbow.. no i don't believe it since i was a Hyperion battleship captain, this kind of opening can't fool me

@@B2.Benedajenzo eh, for me you only need 1-2 omega support characters to finish and start having fun, a healer 'in this case the one that heals party and gives the reserve 3 atk buff' And an... omega buffer, this one gives crit rate and crit damage buff, as atk buffers are more common with any supporters ALWAYS keep a checkout for free summons, they seem to be holding them every 3 months or so and alot of them are guaranteed SS within 10 days type logins I dont know how they tackle QoL for this localisation but the game feels the most 'fun' 1 year anni after, you get a select ticket and you can choose which integral units you need
@@Lucky-lt7lz yes, im at that point atm actually, the have a fusing accessories aspect where you can raise the tier from lesser accessories the dailies are actually just completing stages 5 times, where you get 1 entry stamina point per 4 hours, so theres no hefty dailies, as any stage fits it, event stage, accessories, orb battles, dungeon(?) anything that uses the stamina resource
I played this game since it released in 2022, but I don't get any of it and it being turn base makes thing more hard so I dropped it without even finishing the 1st chapter. and I almost choke when I see that it released globally and I hit install almost instantly. and the funny thing is, I managed to get the bad ending on the first chapter an laughed so hard of how bad I am when playing visual novel LMAO. Anyway, got to chapter 3 and finished some of the event story and dang... I cried like a baby more than 3 times 🤣 I'm in the phase of forcing my friend to play it too but idk... I hope they will play it BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO CRY ALONE 😭
I've played in Japanese since early 2023, and I am so excited to finally get to talk to my non-Japanese-speaking friends about this game :) I mostly just watched the video to get a look at the localized dialogue, because I want to know how they handled all the girls. Most of the characters sound right. The in-your-face German accent for Yamawaki surprised me, but once I let myself get used to it I think it works. "Bon Ivar" instead of "Ivar von" feels wrong but hell maybe it was a reference to Bon Iver the whole time anyways. (Though someone needs to politely inform Yostar that the "・" are used to break up Western names written in Japanese because Japanese isn't written with spaces, and that they need to be removed from the English ASAP.) Only real error I spotted was them saying 31-E is sextuplets instead of sisters. That said, god dammit the font is awful. Please for the love of all that is holy and dear let that be a placeholder and not the final font.
Just by knowing that this is made by that...person that made Clannad and angel beats is just enough for pick my interest but knowing that i will cry and a lot.
Looking it over, this seems like something I could like...if it wasn't a gacha anyway. Kind of really reminds me of this particular subset of games like "Blue Reflection". Not the greatest stuff you'll ever see but still something you could get quite invested into if it connects. Oh well.

easily one of the best when it come to story. unlike other gacha you play this game like virtual novel rather than combat gacha game. so if you come for combat and gacha you might be disappoint cos you don't get to do that much since it focus on story rather than game play. and story man it easily one of the best i have play . even most amazing story take build up to enjoy but this one. just jump in 3 min and you are in for a ride. each character is unique and their interaction is well made . mc is easily best girl. combat is fun too but you can just pull for look in gacha since it is quite easy. and 5 star rate is really high so ya. it is perfect the only regret i have is i don't get to join when release cos i don't heard a bout it at all and low download rate for it quality. when there are a lot of genshin model gacha game with 0.6% rate coming out left and right this one is true game.
Putting aside the Yuri, the story is top tier And as I also follow Jun Maeda's work since 2008, I can put a hope in this game This game just need a bit PR and might hit a chance to become big in Global

With a story heavy game like this i really wish that the localization team is faithful with their translation. Specially when it comes the relationship between characters!
Japanese speaker here. They NEED to change some of the jokes when translating this game. They will absolutely make no sense in any language other than Japanese.
I'm very scared of the the localization is gonna be becaue the first english trailers that went up on the Global channel were full of errors and mistranslated. I couldn't care less about the gameplay but missing out on Key's amazing stories because of a poor translation would be a deal breaker for me.
I really hope that the game is available in my region, because I really want to play this game as I have heard about it before it was announced to get a English version.

I'm not Pseychie, but i'll try to answer: 1) You pull at least for one copy. Collab characters never had a rerun and i doubt they eventually will, so you better get them if you have this possibility 2) for golden tickets you pity the pilgrims (or event/collab characters, but pilgrims are on a higher priority because of their power + pilgrim tower exists and you need as much of them as possible to do at least something there lol). for silver tickets i guess for you it doesn't matter that much, you can get 2 stars for Laplace to be able to get her treasure, it's the best one available right now. for gems tho... idk about the right answer for it, i just use them for everyone who i like and hope for the best xd You can try the same, just don't waste your golden pity 3) It doesn't matter how you break the 160 wall, breaking it by itself will give you way more benefit than trying to break it effectively, which is just a waste of time

The bonding friendship between characters is great, there was some pairing, and there was no yuri in this game (only 3 character that somewhat maybe goes that way, and it also only one side obsession)
i was planning on skipping this even knowing the people behind it but after this video it kinda rekindled my interest. he part where you say most dialogues are voiced to me is a very big deal
Looks interesting but the art needs improvement because I feel like the artstyle looks like it's made for the waifu crowd??? Plus the UI looks pretty bland it needs more charm, funk and a bit more of love. But still I'll give it a try since, like you mentioned, Jun Maeda is writing the story and I love Key as much as the next person plus the gameplay looks interesting because it plays like a mix of Honkai Star Rail and Limbus Company.
I'm skeptical, but will try the game. But I think the game will only appeal to a very niche market of people. The system reminds me of Eternal 7 that's already shutdown and the graphics reminds me of SAO:ARS which is already down too. Hopefully the gameplay mechanic isn't overly convoluted to the point it drives away casual players.
This used to be an issue the first year it came out but they fixed everything that people complained about back then. After the 1st anniversary they were dead focused on listening to as many complaints and criticism as possible and fixed/improved so many things until now. The good news is that the English version is starting at 4.0.0 so you get to skip most if not all of the flaws that made people quit before.

Im not really interested in turned based games, like at all, but i will give this one a shot cause im aware (from multiple sources i trust) that it has a good story. So maybe this will be my first turn based game ever (i dont count chess which i like). One question tho, can i make it through the entire game with any character i like? Or do i need the best units to not suffer playing the game?
you can play as any character, having higher rarity is better for battle just like in any other gacha games, the games also doesn't add more character like other gacha games, so the character is limited since the started
Did I understand that right, there is a set cast of characters and what we pull for are variations on the characters (Different Gear or something)? Similar to Limbus? If it is similar to Limbus, then that gives me high hopes for actual character writing beyond "We need to sell this character, then move on to the next" that most Gacha Games do.
JP player here. It's a set cast of characters. No "new" characters. You pull Styles, which gives Skills. Each Style has a certain set of Skills and Skills are inheritable. There are three ranks, A, S, SS. A-Ranks are practically purchasable with in-game currency and gacha so you'll get practically everyone at the start. They give out S-Ranks as welfare in events. You're really only rolling for SSes for their Ultimates. Also, levels are tied to characters. So your A-Rank Character 1 at Lv. 90 means when you get their SS, they'll already be at Lv. 90. Also, events are permanent. When an event is run, it immediately goes into archives at full rewards, so you can play at your own pace. There is no Stamina use for story/events. Stamina is mostly used for getting upgrade mats. This is a fully voiced and VERY story-focused VN game, to the point that some events are locked if you don't view their preceding stuff due to spoilers. Your protagonist isn't even nameable, she's a rollable character in the gacha with her own personality.

Key visual novels are a big part of my life but I just can't imagine that the localizers didn't censor anything. It's a big step up that the devs weren't forced to redesign the characters, even keeping the resident loli, but man I just don't trust localizers to keep their politics to themselves. I'll wait and see for this one.
Heads up that the original was extremely yuri, so if you consider that "political" your not gonna like this. I'm less concerned over the politics and more concerned on how they translate the jokes. The originals aren't funny in a western context and I'm not sure how they will adapt it. Also the trailer had grammar mistakes so I'm worried about that.

thing is this is a Yuri game. Not sure how it's going to go with the waifu crowd because usually most waifu crowd wants a self insert commander/sensei/doctor etc. There are no males in this game
There's no waifu pandering in this, quite the contrary, some players are so used to gachas making it all about milking you for waifus that they demand this game starts doing the same. The main character is her own thing so you can't self-insert as her. And its story is drama-focused with (faithful) yuri on the side. The only thing that should keep you away from this game is if you don't like yuri and, in your case, visual novel storytelling (which you get used to tbh, plus the game also has lots of animated cutscenes, and they increase in quality and budget as the story progresses)
All female roster is a red flag to me. I'm not even a "must only have husbando" mfer, since I usually pull chicks, but it's just so weird to not have any dudes, period.

This game was a surprise. NGL, I was expecting a generic auto-battler gacha. Then the typical generic, bland, boring, story choices. It was nice being able to choose troll options and the gameplay is nice as well.
The jp player like me will have different feeling playing this game, what I expect when I already know what happen, please just make the translation good enough, 😅

Heaven Burns Red, like anything else Jun Maeda cooked, has an A grade, self contained story where nobody needs to look anywhere else on the Wiki or fan hypotheses threads on why some characters turn out they way they are. It literally takes just the name Altria to trigger FGO fans, let alone Fate as a whole.

Coming back to this vid after finishing ch4 pt1 (no spoilers dw). I must thx u for this vid, I wasn’t expecting myself to be so immersed with this game I always have a biases on disliking the gacha game but the more I play HBR, more I can feel that they do respect their playerbase and the story is so damn well done. I usually skip many games story as some aren’t making me interested enough to actually read it.

@@B2.Benedajenzo eh, for me you only need 1-2 omega support characters to finish and start having fun, a healer 'in this case the one that heals party and gives the reserve 3 atk buff'
And an... omega buffer, this one gives crit rate and crit damage buff, as atk buffers are more common with any supporters
ALWAYS keep a checkout for free summons, they seem to be holding them every 3 months or so and alot of them are guaranteed SS within 10 days type logins
I dont know how they tackle QoL for this localisation but the game feels the most 'fun' 1 year anni after, you get a select ticket and you can choose which integral units you need

the dailies are actually just completing stages 5 times, where you get 1 entry stamina point per 4 hours, so theres no hefty dailies, as any stage fits it, event stage, accessories, orb battles, dungeon(?) anything that uses the stamina resource

This might be a good time for me to experience a PC like visual novel games from jp. And I like how expressive they are.
I played this game since it released in 2022, but I don't get any of it and it being turn base makes thing more hard so I dropped it without even finishing the 1st chapter. and I almost choke when I see that it released globally and I hit install almost instantly. and the funny thing is, I managed to get the bad ending on the first chapter an laughed so hard of how bad I am when playing visual novel LMAO. Anyway, got to chapter 3 and finished some of the event story and dang... I cried like a baby more than 3 times 🤣
I'm in the phase of forcing my friend to play it too but idk... I hope they will play it BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO CRY ALONE 😭

I've played in Japanese since early 2023, and I am so excited to finally get to talk to my non-Japanese-speaking friends about this game :)
I mostly just watched the video to get a look at the localized dialogue, because I want to know how they handled all the girls. Most of the characters sound right. The in-your-face German accent for Yamawaki surprised me, but once I let myself get used to it I think it works. "Bon Ivar" instead of "Ivar von" feels wrong but hell maybe it was a reference to Bon Iver the whole time anyways. (Though someone needs to politely inform Yostar that the "・" are used to break up Western names written in Japanese because Japanese isn't written with spaces, and that they need to be removed from the English ASAP.) Only real error I spotted was them saying 31-E is sextuplets instead of sisters.
That said, god dammit the font is awful. Please for the love of all that is holy and dear let that be a placeholder and not the final font.

easily one of the best when it come to story. unlike other gacha you play this game like virtual novel rather than combat gacha game. so if you come for combat and gacha you might be disappoint cos you don't get to do that much since it focus on story rather than game play. and story man it easily one of the best i have play . even most amazing story take build up to enjoy but this one. just jump in 3 min and you are in for a ride. each character is unique and their interaction is well made . mc is easily best girl. combat is fun too but you can just pull for look in gacha since it is quite easy. and 5 star rate is really high so ya. it is perfect the only regret i have is i don't get to join when release cos i don't heard a bout it at all and low download rate for it quality. when there are a lot of genshin model gacha game with 0.6% rate coming out left and right this one is true game.
I'll be playing because I'm a huge Yuugen fan! I hope it comes out soon

Japanese speaker here. They NEED to change some of the jokes when translating this game. They will absolutely make no sense in any language other than Japanese.

I'm very scared of the the localization is gonna be becaue the first english trailers that went up on the Global channel were full of errors and mistranslated. I couldn't care less about the gameplay but missing out on Key's amazing stories because of a poor translation would be a deal breaker for me.
Most of all, the font is horrible. And what irritates me that they "localize" also set terminology
I really hope that the game is available in my region, because I really want to play this game as I have heard about it before it was announced to get a English version.

I'm not Pseychie, but i'll try to answer:
1) You pull at least for one copy. Collab characters never had a rerun and i doubt they eventually will, so you better get them if you have this possibility
2) for golden tickets you pity the pilgrims (or event/collab characters, but pilgrims are on a higher priority because of their power + pilgrim tower exists and you need as much of them as possible to do at least something there lol).
for silver tickets i guess for you it doesn't matter that much, you can get 2 stars for Laplace to be able to get her treasure, it's the best one available right now.
for gems tho... idk about the right answer for it, i just use them for everyone who i like and hope for the best xd You can try the same, just don't waste your golden pity
3) It doesn't matter how you break the 160 wall, breaking it by itself will give you way more benefit than trying to break it effectively, which is just a waste of time

All female cast, which is unusual since Key is known almost exclusively for their romance stories.
It does have romance on the side, actually. It's just that the romance is yuri.
The bonding friendship between characters is great, there was some pairing, and there was no yuri in this game (only 3 character that somewhat maybe goes that way, and it also only one side obsession)
i was planning on skipping this even knowing the people behind it but after this video it kinda rekindled my interest. he part where you say most dialogues are voiced to me is a very big deal

I'm skeptical, but will try the game. But I think the game will only appeal to a very niche market of people. The system reminds me of Eternal 7 that's already shutdown and the graphics reminds me of SAO:ARS which is already down too. Hopefully the gameplay mechanic isn't overly convoluted to the point it drives away casual players.
This used to be an issue the first year it came out but they fixed everything that people complained about back then. After the 1st anniversary they were dead focused on listening to as many complaints and criticism as possible and fixed/improved so many things until now. The good news is that the English version is starting at 4.0.0 so you get to skip most if not all of the flaws that made people quit before.

Im not really interested in turned based games, like at all, but i will give this one a shot cause im aware (from multiple sources i trust) that it has a good story. So maybe this will be my first turn based game ever (i dont count chess which i like).

you can play as any character, having higher rarity is better for battle just like in any other gacha games, the games also doesn't add more character like other gacha games, so the character is limited since the started
Did I understand that right, there is a set cast of characters and what we pull for are variations on the characters (Different Gear or something)? Similar to Limbus?
If it is similar to Limbus, then that gives me high hopes for actual character writing beyond "We need to sell this character, then move on to the next" that most Gacha Games do.
JP player here. It's a set cast of characters. No "new" characters. You pull Styles, which gives Skills. Each Style has a certain set of Skills and Skills are inheritable. There are three ranks, A, S, SS. A-Ranks are practically purchasable with in-game currency and gacha so you'll get practically everyone at the start. They give out S-Ranks as welfare in events. You're really only rolling for SSes for their Ultimates. Also, levels are tied to characters. So your A-Rank Character 1 at Lv. 90 means when you get their SS, they'll already be at Lv. 90.
Also, events are permanent. When an event is run, it immediately goes into archives at full rewards, so you can play at your own pace. There is no Stamina use for story/events. Stamina is mostly used for getting upgrade mats. This is a fully voiced and VERY story-focused VN game, to the point that some events are locked if you don't view their preceding stuff due to spoilers. Your protagonist isn't even nameable, she's a rollable character in the gacha with her own personality.

Key visual novels are a big part of my life but I just can't imagine that the localizers didn't censor anything. It's a big step up that the devs weren't forced to redesign the characters, even keeping the resident loli, but man I just don't trust localizers to keep their politics to themselves. I'll wait and see for this one.
Gacha games aren’t usually subject to such things. When it did happen, the games either EOSed or the devs reversed their decisions.
Yostar are the global producer and they have a good track record on that front (as in no localization drama with any of their games)
Heads up that the original was extremely yuri, so if you consider that "political" your not gonna like this.
I'm less concerned over the politics and more concerned on how they translate the jokes. The originals aren't funny in a western context and I'm not sure how they will adapt it. Also the trailer had grammar mistakes so I'm worried about that.

You get fairly often tickets or lifestones which can be used instead of stamina.
You don't even need stamina for most activities to begin with

thing is this is a Yuri game. Not sure how it's going to go with the waifu crowd because usually most waifu crowd wants a self insert commander/sensei/doctor etc. There are no males in this game
There's no waifu pandering in this, quite the contrary, some players are so used to gachas making it all about milking you for waifus that they demand this game starts doing the same. The main character is her own thing so you can't self-insert as her. And its story is drama-focused with (faithful) yuri on the side. The only thing that should keep you away from this game is if you don't like yuri and, in your case, visual novel storytelling (which you get used to tbh, plus the game also has lots of animated cutscenes, and they increase in quality and budget as the story progresses)
All female roster is a red flag to me. I'm not even a "must only have husbando" mfer, since I usually pull chicks, but it's just so weird to not have any dudes, period.

This game was a surprise. NGL, I was expecting a generic auto-battler gacha. Then the typical generic, bland, boring, story choices. It was nice being able to choose troll options and the gameplay is nice as well.
