From landowners, to conservationists, and other folks in between, there is a love affair with the Devils River. This remote river valley is about as wild as you can get in Texas. But there are threats to this natural place, and that’s got those passionate admirers a bit worried.

I wish everyone could see & experience this area. What a tragic loss is underway in so many ways most folks can't comprehend or don't really even think about. Great video worth sharing.

Good luck being a conservationist in Texas. Shane though, this is a beautiful river and area.

These advocates are absolutely vital in protecting!! This is a great awareness post!!! I wish the production of these films were a little more ALIVE though. This way, the current & coming generations can form an excitement for advocating lands such as these. There has to be a media advocate as well, hunting for cost-effective exciting ways to create video! This helps to further keep these important land and species reminders on the TOP SHELF... encouraging MORE people to do their part in state conservation efforts! Also, opening an interest to those who just aren't sure why they are in college.. seeing that most grads don't even get to work in the field of the their degree. Many, on top of that, get into the business world and discover that they care more about God's creations than they ever really thought! Maybe a reality-type field trip event could be created with the new 360 technology! That could go for school & companies alike! Could help encourage nearby oil & gas realted companies to put more dollars where conservation makes perfect SENSE! (cents) YEP, just made that up... and I'm kinda proud of it! That could be VERY COOL outreach!! Also, the folks & workers being interviewed might tell us how they became passionate about preserving such beautiful lands! You know, how did they get some "skin in the game" of being a Superhero for saving Texas Wildlife!! Food for thought!

Our senators need to fight to keep this beautiful land from being ruined. Texas is gorgeous, let's keep it as Natural as possible.

I absolutely despise windmill farms. I moved from Mills County, Texas to get away from them.

Excellent video, guys! Thank you for everything you're doing. It is, indeed, a worthy cause. On October 9th, 2019, the Devils River Conservancy is hosting a fundraiser at the Witte Museum in San Antonio. They will be auctioning off my latest painting of the Devils River, entitled "Beautiful Devils". hollanholmes.com/images/instagram/beautifulDevils_1920.jpg 100% of my profits will go to the Conservancy. Perhaps I'll see some of you there? Thank you so much for all you do! I just made a big (for me) donation AND purchased the DA fishing shirt. Hope to see you all soon.

Sounds like someone wants more regulation ... of course corporations will be exempt.

Spare me the weak NIMBY argument against wind turbines spoiling the view. I wonder what the remnants of the Native Americans who formerly occupied the area think about a white man explaining to people about land use. Does the landowner in this video feel the same way about oil and gas extraction? How does he feel about the public use of the river (e.g. paddlers)? TPWD create more thoughtful videos in the future PLEASE.
