    I was wondering if you guys ever thought or have tried to make a relay or some sort of contraption that would reverse the light for the "Hill Assist" light. The light is on when it's off, and off when you actually have it on. I know that Subaru has fixed *reversed* this in the new BRZ and WRX.(atleast I'm pretty sure they did). But for VA STI'S that light drives me crazy.
    Of course there's the people who say put a piece of tape over it. But for how much money I put into my car, I really don't just want to have a piece of electronic tape on my dash. And if anyone can make it happen it's IWire. Plus if it's relatively easy and not alot of money I'd bet you'd sell a shit ton.
    Let me know if this has ever been done or looked into on your guys part. I'd pay to have the light work the way it's supposed to. It's by far the most annoying part of my car.

    I dont like the wheel well rout. Can you route them through the firewall? do you sell the fire wall grommets? I liked that you apologized for the non Subaru sized metric 15. I actually get mad when a new part uses 13 or 11 feels stupid lol.

    • @iwiresubaruwiringsolutions5538
      @iwiresubaruwiringsolutions5538  2 роки тому +1

      You could route the cables through the firewall instead. We added a bit of extra length to those cables so people could run it how they like. We do not sell the firewall grommets unfortunately.

    Is it a must to use the grounding kit with this battey location kit ?

    • @iwiresubaruwiringsolutions5538
      @iwiresubaruwiringsolutions5538  Рік тому

      It is highly recommended to have a grounding kit of some kind because when you move the battery, you are causing issues with the grounding system.

    Why is the negative wire ran from front to back vs just grounding them to the chassis on each end? If dome this way, what issues would arise?

    • @iwiresubaruwiringsolutions5538
      @iwiresubaruwiringsolutions5538  Рік тому

      The grounding characteristics of the battery and chassis are different. We want to ensure that the battery directly influences the grounding of the engine, which is how the ECU is grounded. You may not see an issue if you don't, but it's better if you do.

    So are you sure you want us to disconnect the battery before installing? I mean I feel like when installing a battery relocation kit it’s self explanatory. But then again anyone who spends 500$ on something that can be done for under 100$ probably isn’t very smart to begin with

      Hi Sam. Thanks for your feedback. We try to make our instructions for everyone, from the newbies to the experts.
      Just out of curiosity. What would you pay for a kit like this?

    • @TheBluntcreature
      @TheBluntcreature Рік тому

      @@iwiresubaruwiringsolutions5538 well as a diyer I don’t really pay for a name stamped onto things which is kinda what you pay for with stuff like this. I have 70$ in my kit all together. But I’m also not running a ground from front to back. I’m grounding to the chassis in the rear of my wagon, and adding a extra ground up front. I also wired the car myself when doing my swap from a 97 to a 02 harness so.

      Unfortunately, we do not. It was a custom 3D-printed part for this car. That said, it really didn't make the install easier. The Mele mount with a couple rivnuts to hold it down will look clean and work great!

    Why use a circuit breaker?

    • @iwiresubaruwiringsolutions5538
      @iwiresubaruwiringsolutions5538  8 місяців тому

      It's there to protect the battery from shorts along the battery cable up to the front. It serves a secondary purpose as a quick disconnect for people storing their car or looking to disconnect the battery for modifications easily.
