Had mine for 6 months now (X-Mas gifts to myself, as I couldn't decide on .45 or 9 mm... So, I bought BOTH...!). For the money and features, it FAR surpassed Kimber 1911 Pistols I had (sold both of mine to pay for these!). Haha! If you buy one, you won't be disappointed - The shoot extremely well, fast on target, and SMOOTH...! (They also have one of the cleanest/lightest triggers out there!).
Took my brother-in-law who has never held a 1911 to the range with 2 of my guns. The Dan Wesson Pointman (PM-9) and the BUL 1911 Government. We shot 6 mags each and swapped pistols, shot another 6 mags, no hesitation, he liked the BUL. Now I have close to 10K rds through the PM-9, but if I had to choose the better of the two, I honestly don't know. My BUL 1911 in 45ACP is my absolute favorite 45, no contest.
Bul makes great guns, and have for decades, including double stack 1911 and Tanfoglio type CZ clones. They even do Magnum Research's Baby Eagle now, based on their long running Cherokee and Storm.
You should have displayed how smooth the action is. TYM isn’t lying about this gun, it’s 95% of a DW at less than half the price. It’s so smooth that it could be racked with a single finger if you chose to do it. The trigger is better than my Specialist a long with the action and is so close to being as refined as my Specialist. Replace the sights and MIM parts and you have a semi custom 1911 for under $1000. To top it off Bul Armory has excellent customer service.

Excellent review! I don't mind the logos at all. I'd be proud to display that logo! Also a thank you to Bul Armory for giving you that firearm, tells a lot about Bul's intergrity.
Ive been seeing these a lot lately and have really been wanting one, the pistol has a ton of features and checkered front strap which you dont even get on higher cost 1911s a lot of time. I want one
@YM It's interesting that you mention Kimber when discussing this current BUL. In the early 2000s Kimber sold a full size, double stack (14 rd. 45 ACP), polymer frame 1911, called the Kimber Polymer Custom. Turns out that the polymer frame was actually made by BUL of Israel, under contract for Kimber!
Yep. Staccato keeps getting credit for being the first. Mostly because we seem to be oblivious to anything not done here in the U.S. BUL made them decades before anyone ever heard of Staccato. (STI). they also made the frame and grip unit for the double stack Springfield years ago. ;
Super nice pistol, I got to shoot a friends Bul sas ul it’s a little double stack 9mm 2011 and it is one of the coolest looking pistols I’ve ever seen. It’s got a fluted bull barrel that looks awesome and an amazing trigger it’s a beautiful firearm
Bul armory makes some damn nice pistols. Just got a cherokee 9mm compact cz75 clone and man i love it and going to start adding to my collection gonna get a 1911 a axe etc
You’re not too bad at this Yank , you should do more gun reviews. Bul makes a good firearm, even though I prefer my 1911s in “Americas caliber” I’ve shot 9mm and they do perform excellent. Keep the reviews coming.
That was a LOT of info. Would love to see some outtakes from this one. p.s. that strange person who showed up in the video when you said your "son", well, he has blue UA-camr hair, maybe even green TikTok hair. Might want to shut down the Wi-Fi until you can sort that out. (for all you goofs who want to berate me, just piss off now. It was a joke.)
06:21 Ambi safety question............I have removed them from all of my 1911s. As a righty carrying a 1911 I have experienced knocking the gun on something and after finding the safety off. The only reason I can think of for a righty is if you had to go weak hand you would still be able to manipulate it. I would have hell getting it out of the holster weak hand so unless I already had it out, got strong hand disabled and then needed to get it off safety. Any other opinions please I am always open to opinions.
Lay it in the ground and then take the safety off. I am by no means an expert (in fact, I don't know anything), but it seems to me that if you're in a situation where your strong hand is disabled and you need to get your gun out of a strong-hand holster, get the safety off, and then return fire all with your weak hand, things have already gone so horribly wrong that returning fire, while hardly the least of your concerns, is not your top concern either. Set up your holster for cross draw and practice is literally the only other idea I can come up with, and I don't feel that it's a particularly good one. Not necessarily a bad one, but not a particularly good one, either.
@@pepelepewpewpew8573 Alternatively, I suppose you could also just carry _two_ 1911s; one you typically use, and the second just in case your arm is disabled.
Trying to decide between a Bul Armory EDC 5" and a Springfield TRP OPERATOR, ...I use to own a Trp and always regretted selling it(honestly, I have regretted selling every single gun I have ever sold, unless it was to buy another gun, and even then I kinda wish I would have just saved up.) If there is Anyone who has both, or owned both, which one do you prefer?
For the money, this is the 1911 I'd buy, except . 45. Also, I'm so glad it's NOT ambi-safety. I'm right handed and would carry this. Less width with single sided safety.
Put a ambi safety and light rail on it for a good quality light to me a light on my gun a necessity for me where I'm in a wheelchair I have to have 1 mounted on my carry gun I also carry one in my non dominant pocket as a backup light. Just in case the primary light goes down and stops working.
I am trying to get my hands on the Goverment model for Steel Challange and IDPA. But people snatch them up as soon as they are available. It's like a Dan Wesson for under a grand.
The torus judge is far superior. You get the ability to run 410 slugs for large game or birdshot for survival. The 45 option gives great stopping power. Thus should be made standard for all police forces and militaries.
Saw a review of an expensive Bul Armory and noticed the finish was worn on the sides of the trigger and also the grip safety. Bul apparently could not be bothered to debur their frame before building the pistol. Quite off putting.
Do t like reviews that don't put the gun through a couple of thousand rounds first or atleast starting with the first 500. You can't tell me it's a good gun with just a few mags worth of shooting. It's a cast gun! Good luck
Your car engine block is cast, 95% of everything you use every day with metal in it is cast metal. They are x-rayed and weighed. There are no voids in the frames, and slides leaving that factory . Most steel fram guns are cast then "forged" in a stamp mill before cnc. That's some gun industry BS to justify a $2,000 price tag.
Did you really say these guns are in the lower tier when it comes to price, and equated them to budget guns compared to Kimbers. Cause I'm confused and not sure if we are looking at the same guns. But when I looked up the price of Bull Armory their 1911's start around $1500, and go to $2,600. In my book thats not a budget 1911, in fact it's far more expensive than a Kimbers. Many Kimbers are priced around $800-$1000 range. Garsan and Tisas are very good budged 1911 priced around $500. But they are made in Turkey which is a deal breaker for me personally. I'd rather buy a vacation home in North Korea than purchase a Turkish anything. Personally I think Springfield 1911's are the best deal give you the most for around $800.
