Aaron Garcia I've never had social media so that's a job done already! I always thought it was an unhealthy way to spend your time and energy so I never got it. And I am happier than those who do use it. Seeing insecure people boast about their lives and bodies is not how I want to spend my precious time. When I was younger, I used to sacrifice my authentic self to fit in. I wanted to belong. NEEDED to belong. Go to parties so I can be perceived as "normal" and " outgoing". I pretended I had friends when I had none just so I don't get perceived as a pariah. I've done so many things which didn't mesh with who I really am. Now I know who I am. I don't give a rat's ass of what people think of me. My own approval is the one that matters and I approve of myself. If they like me, that's nice. If they don't, so what? I still like me. This is the best thing I ever heard. I am an amputee. I got a rare bone cancer In my right foot and instaly chose to cut it off. It's been 17 years, and I still say the same thing to every person I meet. It's the the best thing that ever happened to me because I got to meet you. I feel that about this channel. I'm a black amputee that skateboard. I was skateboarder before this. But all of this topic put everything I ever thought in perspective. I knew that I was going to be completely different after my surgery and I was before. But I told myself if I go to sleep, during this surgery,if I wake up and still like big woman, drum n bass, and the want to be there for people, then nothing has changed about me. Nothing changed about me. I've been in so many moments that all I felt was to say f**k it, was the only way to go. You help me to understand that I've had my freedom ever since I had my surgery. the ability not to care but care, even though I really don't give a f**k. I do care it just sux I have say i don't give a f**k sometime. But ill never change the compassion I have for people who don't understand me. Thank you for helping me with this topic. I have to much to talk about but i hope that u get the a small overview. Like I said I've been an amputee for 17 years I've lived like this topic. Thank you so much for your insight, because I no longer feel guilty by living this topic.

I love this video. This was a really hard lesson for me to learn. I use to get so stressed out about what people thought of me. Earlier this year my doctor told me that I had Lupus and I learned that stress makes my Lupus flares waaay worse. I tried so many things to stop stressing but nothing stuck until one day I decided to design a very large tattoo that would go on my forearm. I drew a energy wave with a sparrow flying in the air and words that said "I am enough". I found a great artist to do my tattoo and he added so much life to my tattoo. I put so much intention into my tattoo. Now every morning I wake up and see my beautiful tattoo and I know that I am enough. I know enough, I do enough, I have enough... I am enough and now I have so much peace. I am still in a lot of pain but I am not stressed about it like I use to be and I learned to take better care of myself and not worry about what other people say. I wish I did this years ago. I am blessed.

Kindness is wonderful. Unfortunately it is often interpreted by others as a form of weakness, so be sure and know what your boundaries are with others. This will help you not be a target for those who will take advantage of your kindness and patience. I am a classic "empathetic person" and was a social worker in hospitals for years. I noticed that quite a few nurses and other people who are kind and caring often get involved with either broken-winged birds or abusive people. Ironically, I was able to be of help to others but was attracted to broken people just like those nurses. I've had to "let go" of the regrets and move on with my life, having learned to start taking better care of #1.

social events can be amazing, just to chat ideas, concepts, bullshit, whatever with strangers, acquaintences or friends. it's nice to be with people sometimes. and it's nice to not attach any desire to fit in or be popular at these events. also nice to practice non judgementality of others, and to see the world from a bit of a different perspective

"If you're part of a group, a way to counterattack herd behaviour is doing the direct opposite. If everyone wears sneakers, wear loafers. If everyone orders beer, order a soda." - I disagree with doing things differently just for the sake of being "outside". You should do what's best for you, regardless of other people. If sneakers and beer are what you really want, go for that. The idea is to look at "why" you're choosing those things - to fit in or because they fit you?

I agree, there are situations where "choosing the opposite" could result in you being excluded by whatever group you are with at the time. Imagine if the group has unofficially appointed a "leader", and he/she suggests a place to eat. Lo and behold, everyone agrees it's a good choice. But you actually think it's not a good suggestion so should you really disagree with what the "leader" has suggested and risk being laughed at, ignored or worse, excluded by the group? There are only so many times you can do this before you end up with no friends. And one important aspect of living a happy life is actually having contact to people.

Simple you have to start with not caring what other people think sounds cliché but only then you can see what you think which has a far more powerful impact on your relationships with family, friends, professional, personal or just everyday interactions. You have to be fully aware of your thoughts some may be deep on a subconscious level so you have to be careful as your thoughts can project false perceptions which can give you a delusional reality. All in all you just have to relax. I recommend daily prayer, meditation, moderate exercise and reading. Hope this helps ✌️

Think deeply about how you want your life to be, in every way.

And only be friendly and laugh and joke with your family and friends. It's best to be humble and confident and dignified and believe in your self . Treat people the way you want to be treated and always be respectable don't take life to seriously. . People now love drama and boosting their egos by acting like they are perfect and important. It's best to ignore drama and understand that people are too concerned with themselves. And don't care what people say Or do personally. These days people are just thinking about themselves me me me and like acting better than the rest.

You must balance your life by yourself. Cant find answers about your own life in someone else's words. Just use these as advices and shape your life in your own way.
If you keep constantly living a life where you spend most of your time trying to met someone else's idea of you (I mean, what they expect from you as a person) sooner or later that lifestyle will reach you in a negative way.
If in the other hand, you simply stop caring about their expectations and you only care about yourself and your own being (leaving behind your fear of what others may believe about you), your life will eventually be... Just better.
Live for yourself and those who you genuinely care about. Everything and everyone else is/are just beyond your control. That's what you gotta accept and that's what you gotta leave behind.
You can keep your life, just... free your mind from the mind of the others.

Because of their narrow view of the world I represented change / something different and to mask their inner fear they needed to mock me. To those that matter and those with an open mind I have been thanked; I have been complimented on my strength / courage.
