That's a good repair, and lovely finish. Insurance companies should be queuing at your door and save every body's costs. Thanks for such a down to earth and genuine vid sir, respect from the Scottish Highlands 😊
Thank you from a fellow Scotsman😉. Unfortunately I’ve never been able to make it back, my family immigrated here to Canada from Scotland when I was a baby.
Yes very nice, a lot of guys will shy away from aluminum body repairs just for the fact of just that it's aluminum ! Now I don't know how you fill about it and maybe you could have stress the point a bit more aluminum will heat up quicker and dissipate heat way faster than steel ! But I think you were spot on with you finish as always there will be negative responses to this post but that's just how it is, and like you say this is how you do it, everyone has there own way of repairing things but in the end we all get the same results ?
In hindsight, I try not to make the videos too long, but I should have made a short video on it’s own of that. Definitely something for the future 👍🏼👍🏼
@@Johnnymidnight awesome … my ex lived in Dawson so I took the drive up a few times … P G is as far as I ever wanna go again lol…. I have a utube dream to meet all the good guys like you , Pete from swrnc …. Sprayway …. The gun man … triggerman …. Gerry from lakeside autobody and a few more on my retirement drive across North America 🇺🇸 🇨🇦
I would say that's not a proper collision prepare in my dealership but you get what you pay for when insurance isn't involved nice job it is what it is.
That’s what happens when u are institutionalized and do mostly insurance claims … this repair is done by a master who has less overhead and is pricing fair … hard to find guys like this is the real world 🌎

I would have liked to see you sand out the run and polish it.

That’s cool, I just started watching triggerman, quite a character that dude 😁😁
Good vid can u the same body filler on bare aluminum as well as bare metal
Best to always check the label, but the one I use, yes, good for both 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

How do you go about blending non metallic paint from a rattle can? Enjoying your channel by the way.
Afraid I don’t really have any experience with that, I wonder if anyone makes an aerosol blend agent?
@@Johnnymidnight i have purchased spray can blending agent from dupont

Thank you! Cheers!

Curious what you consider improper, it’s an invisible, warrantied repair. Obviously things are done differently when the customer is paying.
Looks like a great repair insurance or not.

Grab yourself a locking prop rod from Steck tools
Yes, that’s something I’ve never bought, unfortunately the tool budget is usually pretty low when you’re a self employed bodyman 😉
