It's just that this is a studio, a more calm environment and therefore he's got perfect focus, breath, control and time to perform the song perfectly. 2) The problem is not his "singing" voice, it's his "screaming" voice. His screams are not as powerful as they used to be. People are gonna come up with all kind of reasons, the only logical one to me is they tour a lot, and screaming all the time the way he used to without enough time to rest definitely has an impact on your vocals cords for the long run. 3) This is not a recent performance. It was done some months ago.

The song Drown means about someone who has depression or someone who is sad. He was afraid of his own mind. He tried to ask for help to anyone who could deal with the problem. He is afraid of being alone, the burden of the world is getting harder to bear, so he can't control himself.
Whenever I feel alone and depressed. I always play this song. Hope I can still reply to this comment 10 yrs from now.

This year it will be 3 years since the first woman I loved with all my heart left me, we had a future together etc. but the universe wanted it otherwise, now she is with someone else who has taken my place in her heart and I have never had such a strong feeling of abandonment and sadness. Girl I know you don't care but I miss you a lot, one day I will find love again and I will be even happier than I have ever been but for now I will just like to live one day without having this music that reminds me of how badly everyday I am. This version is great, much better than the last version that was made but one thing is certain is that BMTH helped me a lot during my depression, to finally feel like I was understood.
