I remember my sophomore year of high school, my English teacher gave us an assignment. She wanted everyone to bring in 2 pieces of art(paintings, poems, songs, etc) that explained what love meant to us. I picked the lyrics to this song. I was just a dumb 15 year old who had never been in love, but this song touched me deeply. 12 years latter, countless heartbreaks, and a broken engagement latter, I still think this song is what love means to me. I am 27 now, engaged again, to the most wonderful, caring, understanding, loving, annoying man I have ever met and I know this version of the song will play at our wedding. I don’t know if anyone is reading this. Someone who doesn’t think they’ll find love. You will. You deserve it. And it will better than you ever thought possible.

I remember the days I had to illegally download this on my android in 8th grade to be able to enjoy it on my walks to school 🥲 I distinctly remember walking to school in the rain one day when I left my umbrella with this song blasting in my beats! The world paused then. Nobody existed but little 13 year old me me and this song and the rain. One of the most grounding moments of my life. Cheers to making it to 23 💗

My best friend Austin passed away due to a car crash last night and this was his favorite song ever, especially this cover. Him and his wife would listen to SWS all the time, and Austin was actually the one that got me into their music just months ago… Sleeping With Sirens and their music has helped me so much, they’re one of my favorite bands.
Thank you Sleeping With Sirens for keeping Austin happy. And thank you Jesus for letting Austin live the life he had and for not letting him take anything for granted up to his final breath.

This song still manages to induce the same emotions on me as a now 25 year old as they did when I was 15. The nostalgia I feel when I listen to this song reminds me of a lot of times where I felt hopeless, but now 10 years on those feelings of hopelessness turned into gratitude. Always try and focus on the bright side of life people, otherwise you will live a life in darkness and life is too short for that ..

His voice works so well for this song! It's perfectly in his range, and you can hear all the articulation. Every chorus's first note gives me goosebumps because Kellin's voice literally melts into the instrumental. Almost like he's singing into an empty hall. It's absolutely beautiful.

I'm 23 now listening to this going through a rough time and feeling oddly nostalgic, but connecting to this part of my life gave me some comfort. Thank you, Kellin.

I remember having this play on my Ipod 4th gen on the way to school after downloading it with youtube to mp3. It was either on the bus to school, or trudging through the snow at 7am to go see my then girlfriend to hang out for our snow day off. That was when i was 16/17 in high school, I'll be 29 soon. I came back to jam, but instead I got hit with a million memories and realized how fast time flew. I can't believe it's been over 10 years, I wonder where all those guys I hung out with all those years ago are? It feels like yesterday we were sneaking out of school early at the end of the year to go hang out in the woods so our parents didn't know we left early. Before school started at the end of August we would buy a case of iced tea from the store and drink it at the playground around the corner on the last day of summer break, talking about all the things we did all summer. What I wouldnt give to go back for a week and just enjoy it. I wish there was a way to know that you're in the good old days before you've actually left them. I can' believe I'll be 29 this year, this sucks man. I have no idea why I sat here and typed this to a bunch of random internet people, maybe this is what it means when people say music brings people together. Stay humble everyone, maybe I'll revisit this in another 10 years.

@@kskfernando2945 no, depression can hit ANYONE at ANY TIME, those people who act like they have depression messed with people's brain's lol. there may be just tiny signs of it but depression comes to 8 year olds as well. like if the child has horrible parent's, per se. there's really no reason for someone to believe depression can't kick someone in the face at any age unless it's blatantly obvious they're faking for attention, in which case this person did not seem like they were.

My 18 year old daughter Isabella loved this song so much and this band. When I would pick her from work she would get me to listen to new songs she loved and I remember this one so much and the night we drove home listening to it over and over. She was killed March 1 2020 in a car accident thru no fault of her own and we played this at her funeral. Now I listen and cry and remember and I will love her even when we are just energy out in the universe. Maybe that's what she wanted me to know ...she is still here in the universe. I will always look for her

Me and my group played this at my girlfriend's funeral Saturday. This was her favorite Goo Goo Dolls song, and this is a great cover. I'm a 25 year old adult, and whether it's my buddy Mikey's voice, Kellin Quinn's voice, or the original, it put's tears in my eye's.
