Deion Luwynn Sanders Sr. (/ˈdiːɒn/; born August 9, 1967), nicknamed "Prime Time" and "Neon Deion", is an American former professional football and baseball player who is a sports analyst. He played 14 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, and the Baltimore Ravens. He also had a part-time career in baseball as an outfielder for nine seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB), where he played professionally for the New York Yankees, the Atlanta Braves, the Cincinnati Reds, and the San Francisco Giants. Sanders won two Super Bowl titles and made one World Series appearance in 1992, making him the only individual to appear in both a Super Bowl and a World Series. - Wikipedia

Never knew that Deion wanted to end his life. Really opened my eyes up not even 10 minutes in. I’ve been struggling with that battle recently and unbeknown I’ve been watching a ton of Deion sanders because I always loved his smile and charisma. I always liked Deion Sanders. I never minded players that showboat, it makes the game fun, as long as they can back it up. Yes Deion talked the talk but he could walk the walk. I’m glad he found what his life was missing and has the peace that only comes through Jesus Christ.

Deion only told people how great he was and he never talked down to other player. I'm happy he found inner peace. He was entertaining and that's all professional sports are, entertainment. Way to go Deion one of the greats.

He had to learn lifes lessons on his own without a father in the home.....and a tough surrounding. It's awesome to see him understand all of the material things that come with the gifts you have aren't as important as being a great person.

Prime Time made Deion Sanders and when Deion Sanders grew up and became a true man, he let go of Prime Time's antics. This was an awesome video. I am so excited to watch and see what he does with the Colorado football team. I am thankful he has turned his life around from the yukky lifestyle he lived.

One of the first young athletes that learned how to market and bottle his success. You can’t knock someone that designs and carefully hones his own image and speaks and wills a fantastic future filled with unlimited potential and skill. If he’d been around now a day’s, he’d no doubt accumulate wealth equal to or surpassing Floyd. Deon created the blueprint for athletes from then on to begin to be more flamboyant, loud, outspoken, unapologetic, and cocky. Don’t get me started with homies style. Started fashion trends that were imitated by many. Swag for days and backed up his shit talking. Hate him or love him…hell of an athlete that excelled in not 1, but 2 professional sports. He and Bo are the only people that I’m aware of since that’s not only done that, but been successful. Kudos Prime

I can't even lie Deion made the 90s fun, he always had some of the coolest sneakers of the 90s, he always been on the best teams plus he was the first person I remembered that truly showed the world how to have swag and to backup their swag by being a winner in their careers truth be told Deion is the most entertaining athlete of the 90s and if anyone wants to know how to live life on stage just watch alot of Deion commercials, and videos from the 90s he was and still is the definition of swag

I never understood why it was a problem for a player to want the best investment or pay out for his talents just like the investors. There was no room for error when your a person of color in sports til this very day. Primetime is the myth the man and a true legend.

It's beyond comprehension how someone as disciplined and successful as Prime Time can feel so empty and disparaged that he even considers the unthinkable.
Dion Sanders has been a big role model to so many children, he is a prime example of what can be achieved with discipline and hard work. I understand that he's also tremendously gifted with his natural God given abilities but to get to the level that he did, he was very disciplined and worked his ass off.
I'm very glad that he didn't succeed at ending such a gifted life in a tragic way, he picked a good option to fail at. Dion Sanders gave a lot of awesome entertainment to so many of us, I still watch his highlights. He may have been cocky but he definitely backed it up!!!
I was NEVER a Falcon, Dallas or 49er fan, but I remembered watching him on television as a kid thinking, I want to have as much fun in my life as he was having!! Still a fan of the guy.

Love this. I know Deion from FSU. We were in the same freshman class of 1985....I will say that Deion had this cockiness from day one. Something that wasn't mentioned is that Deion had a car already when he came to school. It was a copper colored Transam or Camaro. Rumor had it that his white, high school girlfriend's father had bought it for him. He also had a moped that he rode around campus. He was an A hole from day one ,so that was not a persona that he created while in college. He stole my Ralph Lauren plaid fisherman's hat out of my room and never gave it back.. Nevertheless, this brings back memories.
