    The charisma that this man possessed has never been matched. I mean he befriended every opponent he ever fought. Plus, the taunting he would mostly do was just for pure entertainment and he knew this. A man beyond his years and a man way ahead of the times. This man will be forever remembered even in the year 3000.

      Iam 55 years old and i feel exactly the same way about Muhammad Ali as you. Watching him as a child growing up gave me a different out look on the world around me, and a profound belief in self, that other wise would not have been there if Ali never existed. iam very proud to be apart of that time period as a child to watch Ali teach. He talk the talk and walked the walk like he knew he should. And he left a heck of a foot print.

    Mike Tyson said everybody thinks he was so tough but Ali was willing to die for the sport that he loved and Mike wasn’t. Every time he talks about Ali he tears up and to me that reaffirmed what I already knew. Tyson only 2nd to Ali in my eyes. These 2 men changed boxing in many ways. S.I.H. King 👑

    Muhammad Ali has got to be the most admired man in America. He was so good at his skills, from boxing, to his uncanny poetry, to speaking his mind truthfully. What really pushed his ratings up, was his stand against the Vietnam war, which showed he was no coward to stand for what he believed in . Even towards the end of his life, when he had Parkinson, he showed no bitterness, and still kept a smile on his face A winner's attitude.. I sure hope his image is being used in schools as a role model because he makes a fine one.✌

    As a child into adolescent years, I was arrogantly ignorant towards the south. But later in my adult years, my frat brother convinced me of the impact, the south had on shaping the culture of music, business and acting. I'm quickly reminded of that while viewing this video. Ali's truly one of the best acapella rhymers, that inspired rapping in the 70's. "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee, your hands can't hit, what your eyes can't see," was one of the base bottom lines that rappers used for what is now known as bars, in hip hop. Thanks for the lesson bruh. R.I.P.

    This was my all-time favorite documentary about Ali. It shows how Ali transitions from being an unassuming and somewhat soft-spoken young boxer (4:30) to being a loquacious, outspoken contender for world heavyweight champion. It proves, contrary to popular myth, that his braggadocio wasn't conceit; it was clever self promotion.

      the one with him and howard cosell from abc wide world of sports of pure gold to me. The friendship between those two built into a truly beautiful thing over the years. Also it displays how calm and in control Ali stayed despite all kinds of provocation

    • @lwmson
      @lwmson 4 роки тому +10

      @@clayyytonnn153 Whenever they were both together, it would always tickle me. Howard, being his pretentious self, would always use big, 50-dollar words when he was talking to him to try and make him feel stupid. But Ali, as he does here in this film clip (42:35), would always come back with a witty retort and make Cosell look like the fool. In stark contrast to Cosell, Ali wasn't highly literate, but he still nonetheless, was very clever.
