8:22 This is why the game needs multi monitor support. Just imagine having the Tacmap open on another screen for convenience while being able to enjoy the 3D action unobstructed. If they ever implement that this game will transcend!
@@Tiro_Chopper It has been proposed on the Steam forums a while ago, the devs said they were interested in the idea but it won't be seriusly worked on or thought of soon. I imagine it's a bit of effort to implement, but if they ever do it it will be so worth it!
@@Internoobs Yes, and the game has a long way to go. Tbh I thought the AI in CW is waaay better and its kinda dissapointing its going to be launching in this state. Me myself I think I will hold on untill the AI is improved a bit, they should make this their top peiority in a game like this.
@@AlanTheBest97 That's fair, theres some very glaring AI issues present and I hope they get the biggest ones fixed before EA launch, like the AI literally being incapable of using carriers/airfields properly. So far the dev team seems dedicated and I believe in them improving the game and AI a lot after launch.
Reading the title got my hopes up for a multiplayer real time battle! Excellent video either way, fingers crossed that multiplayer is in the future for this game! So excifed to pick it up next week!!!
There would need to be some way to handle time dilation in multiplayer. The 375nm needed for this mission would take ~13h at 28kn. But thats doable with some kind of "both parties need to press speed+ for speedup" but each player can slow it back to normal on their own
Devs have said they are interested in MP, but its a very low priority. So It will only come if they have time if they don't have other things once they get a lot of the core game stuff done. But it is at least a possibility eventually
@@Baerinhothe old strategy game DEFCON had multi-player and it had exactly that, an option for players to agree on time dilation. You even had a "real time budget" that basically only allowed you so much time at real time before you were forced to speed up to stop people from griefing by sitting at 1x and making games last for 5 hours.
21:00 Harpoons went out of radar range of your helicopter while still being beyond radar horizon of your ships. You can't detect sea skimming missiles from far away with your surface radar due to curvature of earth.
The mission editor is easily one of the best features of this game, endless potential for some really cool missions. This is an awesome looking mission, can't wait to see what else the wider community comes up with in the months following release.
I hope the tactical map UI can be improved. One obvious change I'd like to see is to make drawing tools quickly accessible buttons instead of items hidden deep in submenus.
A number of EMCON, maneuver and engagement commitment mistakes, but those Shipwrecks made up for it with their frightening coordination. I don't know what you can do about the B-52s other than power through their inevitable massed Harpoon strike. And there may still be an American sub lurking along the way.
I really hope that the game upon releases lets me use metric when controlling a navy, like the USSR's, that used metric units. It's very strange to me to see you controlling Soviet craft and using imperial units
I also would like the Soviet weapons naming system for all weapons. I don't want to use weapon names given by a foreign country, as I've seen is used for air to air and air to ground missiles
@@christopherchartier3017 The thing is, I don't think russia has official nicknames for these planes other than their technical names (MiG-29, Su-22 etc..), so in that case the nato system is really adding something, and removing it would be a straight up loss, whereas the weapon naming systems are directly competing with each other, and unlike for aircraft, don't complete one another.
@@Enigma89 Live and learn. Those P-3Cs have excellent ESM systems, great for finding subs just like that. Using your own ESM mast is a good idea though. When your missile attack was coming in, it would help you identify the contacts based on all those air and targeting radars going off. Keep up the good videos!

Not sure if it would be needed in this case, but for future engagement, some of the Soviet SAMs may also be dual capable to use as ASMs if you run out of the main ones, which can help allow you to be more aggressive with them without leaving yourself completely defenseless after
I would like to add a little bit of constructive criticism to you Sir enigma. One flaw i noticed with your video relates to the audio balancing. I noticed during some segments that your voice is mostly drowned out by what is going on in game. An example i can give is at timestamp 1:50. Just figured i should let you know. Its always nice to see a creator improving

But a few tips i could give. 1:In game you can try turning down the audio and see if that helps 2: Using your editing software you may be able to lower the audio of the game footage just a bit while boosting your microphone recording volume slightly. 3: If you are using something like OBS you may very well be able to tweak the audio settings in there as well. I do hope at least some of this will turn out to be helpful for you mate. I wish you the best. Cheers
I dont think that conservation of resources is a solid strategy in sea power. Because you are playing an individual battle or scenario, and not a strategic, persistent campaign, there is really no point in not using every weapon and asset to your disposal, its not a matter of "if" to use it, just of "when", in the case of the soviets, one of the few advantages they have over NATO is that their missiles have far longer range in general, so, my opinion is, when playing soviet, adopt the strategy of "throw everything at the capitalists at the first opportunity and then pray they didnt bring too many aircraft"
Even though its a bit arcady Id like for the tactical map icons to be a bit more graphic. Like a surface warship be a pretty little drawing of a warship, a helo a helicopter icon, a sub be a little submarine thing. Just give me the option to change this. Because I find it a bit hard to read everything quickly and there is always a lot on screen too close to eachothet.
Great video, if you don’t mind 2d, maybe you need to try Command Air and naval modern warfare. It is a master piece and far more complex. Sea power is more of a tactical game with a lot of potential.
It will be nice to have versus battles among multiple people in lan play. One sub hunting all, or just doing some fooling around by ramming each other ships😂
Devs have said that they would be willing to work on MP, but its not going to be a priority and they have a lot of things they need to do before they could even start trying to implement MP

Most NATO sam's can also do that, which is honestly more important for them than for the soviet navy.
