Thank you thank you thank you. I picked up my toddler and WOW pop!!! Now I’m off work and searching for information. I was using heat, nope, I switched to ice. I was stretching, nope, stopped that too. The pain is worse when I put pressure on my left leg, pain is on the right. I’ve only had this once and that was when I got an adjustment from chiropractor. Day one. Im walking around icing and not stretching. Thanks
Thank you for sharing your journey! I'm happy the video is helping you figure out what works best for your recovery. Take care, and remember to be gentle with yourself!
Thanks for your info,it's helped me. I did some of the gentle moves and went to the chiropractor for myofascia release, and I'm doing better. My SI flares this this up once in a while. Yes, my pain was worse at night this time, which was odd for me, and I was using heat..changed that up too.
Where do you ice? I have achy pain in my hip, sharp pain down my hamstring, cramps and numbness in my calf and my foot feels like it’s fallen asleep for two weeks. Ice everywhere? Thanks for your help Doc.
This is a great question Will! And, yes, you are correct. Start by icing your hip, hamstrings and then into your calf. It's okay to use the ice to "chase" the pain.
Thank you very much for that does burning in the back of the spine that goes into the glue area considered sciatic I have two bulging discs and two herniated discs and I'm experiencing burning in the lower spine into the glute
You mentioned true sciatica and non-true sciatica.. I realize now that mine is femoral nerve pain. I also have SI joint pain. I will look to see if you have made any videos on those.. thank you very much!
In general, stretching can be helpful for arthritis but may aggravate sciatica. I would recommend working with a Manual Physical Therapist who can figure out the root of your problem so that you know the right treatment for your body.
I need desperate help, once i roll out of bed my entire right leg calf is in pain, numbness, tingling, etc then when i try to put my foot on the ground the front side of my foot where it meets the ankle feels like knives stabbing into my foot, leg, what exercises can i do to alleviate? I just want to be able to function, right now im bed bound. 😢
I am so sorry to hear that! It's hard to address from this far away but try putting your feet up on pillows and trying to point/flex your feet. This should help to stimulate blood flow and bring some healing. Good luck!
Very clearly explained. Thanks a lot.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I really appreciate your feedback!

Yes, it sounds like those discs are putting pressure on your sciatic nerve from your description.
Do you recommend acupuncture ? I’ve done it before and it helped.
If it's worked for you before - go for it!

I just finished filming a femoral nerve pain video. It will be out in about a week!

Is it a good idea to stop stretching the piraformis if I have burning in spine and glute area. The figure 4 stretch may make it worse?
Yes, for you it might be best to stop the piriformis stretch while you are having the burning.
Amazing my doctor kept told me this is arthritis and use heat.. Ortho says its sciatica. Is Yoga OK?

What do I do for pain going down the front of my leg? I have the pain going down the front of my right leg.
I am realizing from your comment that I need to make a video about pain that goes down the FRONT of the leg. It's coming soon!
@@PT4EverybodyPLEASE! That’s what I have.

I don't backpain but pain shooting through the left leg to the foot 😢.
Thank you for sharing your experience. It's important to address any pain issues early to prevent them from getting worse.
What is flossing
Flossing is a technique to try to wiggle the sciatic nerve free.
