    It’s like we hit the jackpot this week! Thank you so much for this practice today, David. This week has been excruciatingly
    hard as our son left with the Navy to serve Covid patients in the heart of NYC. This is such a gift today.❤️

      Oh Susie thank you for sharing the news about your brave sweet son. I know you'll miss him but his single act of service is making this whole world a better, more loving place. Sending you, your son and your whole family lots of love and light and compassion. 🙏💓

    A truly wonderful practice, thank you. In Portugal it is Autumn and as I’m in the southern most part of the country it is only when the rain falls after a long hot summer that the ground replenishes itself. It is like a spring for us. To connect to the land was a lovely way to acknowledge that growth will soon be moving upwards. Thank you David.

      It sounds so beautiful there Gertrude! I'm just endlessly fascinated by nature. I would love to visit Portugal some day. I went for a little walk today and the trees are in full color change here in the Northern U.S. 🍁 ❤️ Namaste my friend 🙏

    Awesome class. One question. When you do the leg cross over do you slide the right shoulder to the right in both sides or should it switch up depending on which knee is crossed over?

    • @DavidOYoga
      @DavidOYoga  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Tom! Great question! Short answer is you switch it up for each side. Long answer is... the idea behind sliding a shoulder over is so that you can bring BOTH shoulders squarely down to the mat. This deepens the twist a little, but more importantly it moves the twist up into the middle/upper back which is where we want it. You'll notice if you lie on your back, bend the left knee and draw it across your body to the right, the left shoulder wants to lift up. Gently lifting the right shoulder up and sliding it to the right helps that left shoulder come down, so that both shoulders can now rest squarely on the mat. On the other side, bending the right knee and drawing it across your body twisting to the left, now the right shoulder will want to lift. So, on this side, lifting the left shoulder and scooting it further left helps that right shoulder come down, and now again both shoulders can rest on the mat. I hope this helps and thank you for the great question 🙏💓
