- In Halo Reach, we rarely ever get to see Cortana and when we do, it's not a clear view. Let's see what Cortana truly looks like in Halo Reach as well as what her true form is too!

Saber Interactive just being lazy when it came to the artstyle for the new graphics along with all the other reused assets

Yeah it's a shame they started making her just a solid color. She was at peak design when her color was dynamic, often changing based on her demeanor. She even goes red when confronting spark.

My guess is that LOD model came along with the Halo 3 copy but they didn't bother doing anything with it bc they didn't expect it to be seen

Hey general I got a request: in the early trailers of halo reach there seemed to be a couple of cutscenes that didn’t make it into the game. One included Kat using Jorge as moving cover on tip of the spire and one of Emile using his knife in winter contingency going “who’s next?!”
For a second I thought they Cortana nipple when the video started lol.

Would it be possible to get 16 people in a campaign map? Maybe by tricking the game into thinking its a custom game
Are you talking about taking the map from a campaign mission and opening it into a custom game for people, or trying to have BTB-sized lobbies play campaign missions

I remember looking at that model in Gravemind's Reclaimer tool once, was pretty much identical to H3 much to my disbelief
I remember jumping in the huge floodgate cinematic bsp as Cortana, she jumps like that in halo 3 too lol.

What I never understood is why Cortana never spoke in Reach. I get she wasn't supposed to be telling Noble Team everything and didn't know them well either but she wouldn't just be mute like she was in the game. It couldn't be because Jen Taylor wasn't avaliable because she did the cortana firefight voice and also I doubt she'd skip over reprising her signature character in general.
Because Chief was the first and only Spartan to actually work with and carry her. If Noble 6 used Cortana the same way Chief uses her then that completely contradicts the whole "They let me pick. Did I ever tell you that? Choose whichever Spartan I wanted." idea. Chief is her Spartan, no one else can fill that role without ruining what made their relationship unique. This would turn Six from the guy that's responsible for the original trilogy happening into being Cortana's ex. "No Chief, he doesn't count. You were my first and only."
And in-universe she's stuck in that container, if Six took her out there's a billion different things that could happen that could result in that chip being shattered. And she wouldn't be able to provide help or information they aren't already getting or don't already know, so bringing her out wouldn't do much besides making the risk even greater.
