clare parkinson Oh thank you ever so much ,you’re too kind!! 💖So glad you enjoy my videos!I have so much fun making my projects and crafts so that’s why I share them with all of you so you can have fun ! Happy crafting!!💞💖
Hello dawn-I make these fake desserts too & clay looks nice-but I use 10 minute white resin for the cookie part because it’s light & doesn’t tip anything over w weight. You can pour it in your molds as well & when it dries-paint it w gesso as a primer then whatever color you want your cookie to be after gesso dries. Works great! :)
OOOOooo more things to make, I have to check in the shed to see if I have any molds I can use I have lots of silicone candle molds I use for candles. another great video x
Kathie Cartwright I don’t leave it in the bags for more than a day and I place it in a plastic bag with wet paper towel on the end to keep it from drying out .I always clean my tips and re use them !
Ok... I was just reading your descriptions and it says that you used silicone molds, but yours seemed harder than the one i have. Mine is the kinda rubbery kind.
Annette Bowman Hi! I’ve bought them from Etsy!It was quite awhile ago and I buy my molds from all kinds of sellers. Some of those may not be available or another seller may sell the same mold so you’ll have to go and search a little:) Search cookie or cracker molds .
a little suggestion: have you tried using plain plaster to do this? it's a bit brittle but you can add a little of elmer's glue to balance that (like, just one spoon for a cup of plaster is ok), i think the final result would have more of a flour texture
Umberto Paggi I do occasionally use plaster of Paris with small molds but it’s messy and takes longer so sometimes I go for the clay !:)But sure you could use plaster of Paris ,I use that for my bunnies:)
Kimberly Sirak I bought those molds from Etsy but I have made my own cookie mold from dollar store cookies ! They’re actually have a real cute pattern on them !
@@thepinktree3490 Oh I misunderstood. I thought it was polymer clay. Ok. Thank you so much. Acrylic paint didn't stick to my air dry clay so that's why I said it takes a lot of time. I peeled it off and now I'm scared to do it again.
521LakeStreet I can only post links from my lap top but I couldn’t find you on it so I posted one of the links in the comments. The Oreo cookie one I bought is no longer available but I am sure there are more there on Etsy!
Love your videos , but i do have a question. Do you add water to your spakle, the light weight that i have is not that loose. Please tell me what I am doing wrong. Thank you. Thank you Esperenza
Thank you !Yes I always add water unless I’ve added lots of paint! And remember if you use tiny tips for smaller projects you have to add extra water to mixture ! You’ll learn as you practice!Have fun.❤️
Question.... Have you ever used any silicone molds? I tried to use one the other day but everything fell apart when I tried to get it out. {and I even left it overnight to harden.} I was wondering if I am supposed to use some kind of lubricant lol or something in there first or maybe I was using the wrong thing to make a mold out of. I think I just used some of the stuff I mixed up for "frosting".
Lisa matthews I use silicon molds all the time ! I’ve never had that happen to me ,usually you can put anything in them .It’s the plastic ones that are trickier!
@@thepinktree3490 it was just that spackle stuff that was crumbly when I tried to get them out. I think I'm gonna try some of the silicone caulk or I'm trying to find some of that air dry clay. Only place I've seen it so far was Walmart and it was like $7 so I'm gonna keep looking. I wonder how Playdo would work? Lol
Alejandra Vanessa Cedillo I make them for all kinds of things !You can just display them in your kitchen or you can make them to hang on a sweet treat themed Christmas tree. You can also use them as embellishments for other crafts or wreaths.I make my crafts for every Holiday and I have trees for every Holiday! I give ideas how I display my crafts on my Instagram dawnpinktree and on my public Facebook page The Pink Tree:)
