Ms. Dawn I love this so much ! As a child as soon as church was over we would rush to a tiny restaurant named “Joes Icecream parlor”in Easley South Carolina. They made these exact Banana splits in a plastic boat 🛶 and I would take the boat home and play with it in the 🛁 tub and with my Barbies ! I want to make this for them as a display and as a thank you for 50 years of service to our community! They are family run and precious people! Thank you for sharing your talents sweet lady !
I 2 WOULD USE THE BANANA BOATS IN THE TUB WITH THE BARBIES! I ABSOLUTELY LUV THIS & WILL BE TRYING! NEW SUB. AFTER WATCHING THIS VIDEO! I WANNA TRY ALOT OF THESE FAKE DESSERTS TO USE ON MY KITCHEN TRAY!

Saw your igstory for this project!

Can you use plaster of Paris in a silicon banana mold?
Do your cherries bleed on the white spackle? I had a problem with some I purchased. T.y love this video
I never had that problem, but I suggest testing it out first on a very small amount of spackle
No I’ve never had that problem!
What color paints did you for the bananas?
Bright yellow, daffodil yellow, warm white and white!
Do you ever use alcohol inks or mica powders to color your resin? And, yes the Thick-it is expensive so will use baking soda next time. Thankyou.
I have used a red ink and I didn’t like it!I ordered a resin thickener to try and it was a decent price.I’m going to use it on my reds as I think it may give it a clearer look. But as for other shades I’ll definitely continue with corn starch !
In other video i saw you made the chocolate sauce with modpodge. Do you think it would work also for the caramel sauce? Thank you
@@ld-23 Yes!!
can't you use the premade ones on each side of that fresh chocolate one...kinda tuck it in to that? hate to waste!
You sure could put your pre made ones !
Great tutorial! I haven't made one in a while and last time I didn't Doble my scoops like you did so I'm gonna have to, it made it perfect on yours! Did you make your chocolate and strawberry 🍓 sauce out of thickened resin too?
Thank you!Yes I thickened the other colours the same way!
Maybe a drop of brown for the caramel sauce
Do you sell these?
Perfection! 🍒🍌
Thank you 💜💕💕
The resin I like usung is the quick set. Working time only 15 min.
Yes I’ve heard of a quicker resin process!Never seen it locally though !That would work great for this too!
I’m not good at using the spakle. 😕
Oh it takes practice!Keep trying 💜
