Just installed this kit in my ‘13 JKU. This tutorial helped tremendously and I found that the two solid rubber ‘tubes’ that comes in this kit go inside the passenger side gasket, one on each end where the two freedom panels meet. Now to see if it stops my driver’s side A pillar leak. 🤞🏽 0lllll0 👋🏾
My drivers side A pillar leaks too and it appears the door weather stripping isnt pressing up against the A pillar weather stripping when the door is closed. There is a gap there where the water flows down. Strange that I didnt have this problem on my soft top but hard top is more leak prone lol.
Thanks for posting. Will be doing it this weekend on my 2012 JKU. I might sharpie around the old seals to get the outline exact before putting on the new ones.
Thank you! I looked all over for the info on this. I bought the same brand kit and was shocked there were no directions, and extra parts. It seemed too easy to be true, but yup, it's that simple. Read below where the small tubes go and I read on a Jeep forum that the large tube goes into the header on the jeep, sort of over where the rearview mirror is. I'm going to install this tomorrow. I hope it works!
Thank goodness for this video. I bought a used 2016 JK and experienced my first leak. I noticed several of my foam seals were missing. This video helped show me where and how they are put on. Thank you.
Who could do a thumbs down on this video? It's professionally made, clear, concise. Man, a lot of haters on the internet! Thank you for making this video. We don't get any instruction with the kit, so if a seal is missing or damaged beyond recognition, your video helps a lot!
Neither thumbs up nor down. For the most part, it’s a good video. However, there needed to be a pause and a close up on the odd shaped foam pieces… especially the part where it overlaps with another piece. Hands were in the way and video moved too fast for me to see exact placement. Mine did not overlap but rather butted up against one another. Sure hope it works, because I was at a loss. Also, my kit came with two small solid tubular rubber pieces and one larger one with a hole running through it. Kept waiting to see where those go. Still waiting.
Hello, can I buy this set and use it for an 07 jeep wrangler??????? I can find any packs listed for an 07 but assume they are the same anyways. Any insight would be helpful, i'm doing this myself! :)
I believe this is an ATP (American Trail Products) grab handle. I listed a link to the ones we carry on our site!! www.extremeterrain.com/atp-rear-billet-grabhandles-0717-jeep.html
I click on link for the item foam blocker seat kit and it says 2011- 2014 only on your website I have a 2015 jeep wrangler. Will this item work as well
Next time maybe put the panels on the table as they are when installed. And slow down, it's really, really hard to keep up with which corner you are doing. Also, OEM set has two lengths of straight tape, it would be nice if this was adressed here (if omix ada has that feature too, which it seems to).
Would be so much better if the music would be left out 🤦♂️ also the last 3 stiffener tubes are used on a JK. The 2 short ones go in each end of the freedom panel gasket, The largest one goes dead center of the weatger gasket on the hardtop. Its inside the hollow area of the rubber where are 3 hard top pieces mate. Theres a seam in the rubber so you can pull it out. Silcon lube new tube and slide it in.
That is the customer's hard top insulation on their build that we borrowed for this install. That is not included in the Hard Top Seal Kit. However, if you need some better noise dampening and insulation we have them available on our site!
I would recommend just replacing the seals instead of layering. Adding too much of a seal may result in gaps and let in more rain/wind noise. Plus I don't think the adhesive would still well to the existing seals. -Zach
Will these fit my 07 unlimited Hardtop? Can’t seem to find any others for my year. These do seem to match up perfectly. They look identical to my old worn out ones. Hope these can seal the deal if you know what I mean. I have a small leak due to old seals.
Since this is an inexpensive kit you can always give it a shot! The manufacturer only specifies it fitting 2011-2018 models though, so we really can't guarantee fitment. -Zach
What handle is that for the center soundbar grip? Something commercially available or custom? Thanks for the vid! Helped with some questions on placement for my kit. The panels were missing some seals, so hard to copy original.
Glad the video was helpful! In all honesty, I don't have any records of what specific grip in on the sound bar like that but it looks like its part of a set that the owner had. We offer something similar from Rugged Ridge, just not aluminum like you see in the video. Thanks for watching! - Zach terrain.jp/2PtngG6
You don't need to purchase this if your seals are in good condition. If you're experiencing leaking or they're worn out, then this may be a good kit for you!

why cut away after you put the gaskets on , why not wait for 1 sec so we can see each corner as its complete, you cut way while your hands are still in the shot. better editing .. come on man
@@mustangenthusiast I usually go through this every couple years. I currently have a leak on the driver's side and passenger side. I'm having a hard time pinpointing the root of it.

The extra seals you mentioned go internally along the targa top seal and hard top header seal. Tucked into the rubber seal

You should post a video showing where you placed them on your page
Can you post pic or video of how you used those tubes
Thank you! I found that one side of my gasket has no tube in it at all.

Did it with pencil....
Hi Ryan. Can you tell me what that silver bar on the roof mount is (where the light and twist locks are)? It looks like a it's for strengthening
Not quite sure... We don't offer it on our site. It definitely looks like a grab handle if that helps your search!

Where can i get the track bar on the sound bar? @extremeterrain
Can I use this for a 2018 JLU or is there a kit for a JLU? I’m getting a lot of rattling from the freedom panel latches
My passenger side panel is filling up with water. Then while I'm driving it leaks out of the panel into the jeep. Will these help with that?
Replacing your hard top seals with these will be a good start! -Zach
