Thanks for talking about the buffer weight and system. People skip that detail so often and it is useful for seeing what is working for everyone with their specific components. Nice vid.
The clogged gas tube "issue" was a few isolated incidents. Under gassed barrels and heavy buffers choked them out. It is a filthy round. I have around 2500 Hornady Black 105s plus a few hundred 103, and 108s through my competition rifle. Original gas tube. SLR Sentry 7, Rifle Buffer, Springco Green & A5H2.
I've been running 6ARC since the get go . I fell in love with 6ARC . 12.5" and 16" are my favorite lengths . My 12.5" is such a handy Mini Recce Upper and fits my needs perfectly. My 16" is my SPR setup as well and its paired with 2-10× . I only have access to 600m Range . I've had the best luck with CPD mags . Ive had very few issues with them . Ive actually shot 12.5" in 2Gun match last year and I had 0 malfunctions . It was under 150 rounds so not like I shot a while whole bunch . I have a buddy who is gonna take me to Quantico so I hit up 800m range . Once I get better at LR shooting I totally plan on getting Cobolt BAMF 22" C.F. Upper . Awesome video bro
Love the information and we appreciate you even more for keeping us honest. Your feedback on our products helps us adjust production as needed, thank you! 🙌🏼😎
Glad to see someone talk about the 6ARC. Wish more companies made ammo for it. Really is a nasty little round for what it is, would love to take it hunting.
..to get the benefit, the “full” benefit out of the 6mm ARC, or ANY long-distance specific round, the requirement is more than just the equipment needed ie rifle (upper, etc) and ammo. The distance to even utilize it REGULARLY to me (and I think most people) is the keystone..
what trigger setup fo you like using for the 6mm arc? I just sighted in my 6.5 grendel and was just over an inch at 100 yards. that is with an awful milspec trigger. thinking of putting a decent 2 stage on it. it's my dmr/spr semi auto gun. I have 2 heavy bolt rifles if I'm really trying for long range
Kinetic Consulting, what buffer system do you recommend? I saw a lot of conventional buffers, then I saw JP silent capture spring and ShootingInnovation Recoil Reduction system... now I don't know which kind of buffer is the way forward. Those capture spring buffer systems do seem to reduce felt recoil by a lot, although I have no idea how it does that. Can you explain how? Then again, I'm not seeing it used on a lot outside of competition shooting, and I guess that service rifles are avoiding it for a reason? Why would it?
The only buffer system I've been using for longevity and reliability is the voltor A5. Cobalt kinetics just made a buffer for it which is also very well done. And you can find it on the Cobalt kinetics website
great content Awesome reviews: Being a low fixed income poor, I have not had the pleasure of using/shooting anything 6ARC and probably wont, just because I want one. that's how things work out for us poors. by the time we can afford it they will come up with something better.. anyways awesome set up. it is the Christmas season maybe Santa Clause hasn't forgotten about me this year, like he has for the last 49yrs...
Feel ur pain. That’s a nice sexy cobalt kinetic AR, but just to get the 6arc ammo is: 1) expensive to just plink with at over $1 per round on the cheapest option. 2) it’s not as available as 556, 6.5 grendel, or .308/6.5 creedmoor. 6arc is Awesome for hunting and long range shooting, and if u can afford it and reload it, go for it. But it’s impractical for most of us not sponsored or working poor on a budget 😅
@@rifleshooterchannel208 reminds me of .224 Valkyrie or 22 nosler and all these influencers pushing it as the 556 killer…. Then the ammo dried up and reality sets in: if you like to shoot a lot and you’re not rich, stick with NATO calibers. If you want a niche cartridge as another tool in your Arsenal, then have at it, but practically speaking, common calibers serve their place in anyone’s personal tool bag.
Most of mine from 10.5-16in group really well with 77gr stuff. Averaging 1in groups. With 55 or 62/64 grain stuff I see up to 2 in groups depending on the ammo.
6mm ARC isn't a hot round. SAAMI MAP is no more than 52,000psi. Gas tube clogging is a myth, unless someone can demonstrate a clogged tube. I've been shooting the AR-15, M16A1, M16A2, M4, M4A1, etc. in high volume since 1987. Been shooting 6.5 Grendel by the thousands since 2009. Have been shooting 12" Grendel suppressed with TBAC Ultra 5 since 2018.
It's a dirty round. I haven't seen it personally but I have had multiple people who have been shooting 6 arc longer than I state so. We will see if I experience it.
@@KineticConsulting As soon as Grendel brass came out, dudes started necking it down to 6mm and shooting that, called 6mm AR, then 6mm AR Turbo for High Power. There’s even more propellant in 6mm AR and AR Turbo, and this is the first time I’ve heard of clogged gas tubes. I have several friends with 6mm AR that have been shooting them competitively since the 2000s.
So nice to see people who are actually shooters go over their stuff. Keep it up man.
I’m surprised he’s not using a Rosco barrel with a $450 price tag and a $60 A2 flash hider.
That’s what _real_ shooters use.
@@rifleshooterchannel208 I’m at the point where anyone I see shooting and shilling Cobalt kinetics guns, I instantly stop listening.

Super nice the buffer system works with both uppers/calibers 🍻
I have been waiting for my San Tan billet set and 6 arc carbon 16” barrel for two years.
Sweet set ups. I have looking forward to your 6mm arc review. Thanks Jon and Merry Christmas 🎁

I'm curious what the barrel life is on 6mm compared to the 5.56.
what is your opinion on the new Rosco Purebred SPR 16inch 6ARC barrel? how does it stack up against your 16inch Proof 6ARC?
What type and power of scope did you mount?

Who cares. Get .556 or .308. If you ever actually use it for man sized targets which you likely won’t it won’t make a lick of difference.
