This process is called, lost wax casting, also known as investment casting, is a process of metal casting in which molten metal (Silver, Gold, Platinum) is poured into a predetermined mold flask.
We first add all the wax’s onto wax sprue creating a tree-like structure.
After the wax tree is made we add a metal flask over it and pour “investment” which is a plaster or I also like to call it cement for better reference 😂
We wait until the investment hardens then place it in our kiln/oven until all the wax is burned out.
Once the wax is completely disintegrated it leaves an exact impression of the wax model. Basically think of it as a cavity or negative space from where the wax was before melting it away.
The metal is melted and then poured, using a vacuum pressure to pull the metal into the cavity.
Really awesome stuff! I will be making a video of this process soon to show you how its done ✅

@aurasoular6804 yes. I know. Not what I was asking. I'm asking if the wax models were hand carved, or 3d printed.

Stvarno dobro pitanje.

How much do you charge for casting fees

A normal charge where I’m from in Canada is 50$ not including finishing and polishing which could easily be another 50$

@@KoloCast I'd say your best bet would be to research the jewellers in your area and find out who's the most respected and honest, in this trade it's way too easy to scam people and the customers almost never find out so it's worth it to pay the extra dollar to work with somebody who's going to be honest and do a good job and stay loyal to them so they treat you well. It would cost you too much in shipping to justify working with me since the cost is already pretty low, but if you need any handmade custom jewelry then I'd be more than happy to work with you! I hope this helps.
