I love this! Also to share a tip about meal prep: the whole meal doesn't have to fit in a container to microwave. You can do a mix of cooked vegetables and protein for the week, then put the exact same thing on top of a salad, then in tacos, then over rice, on a potato, etc. It helps with not getting bored of what you made.

How long do the nutrients last anyway?
I guess the cooles food looses its nutrients pretty fast

That’s exactly what I do! Interestingly enough, contrary to most of my ADHD friends who prefer the consistency (not having to think about it 🤔😨😅) of eating the same thing every day, I crave a little bit of variety, but having staples ready when you’re short of time saves me from a ton of guilty cheating and unnecessary money spending when outside and unprepared 😰
      Thank you Sarah!!! 🥰🙏🏼

Really appreciate the incorporation of 'semi-homemade' elements to balanced, overall healthy meals! Having that flexibility is so much more sustainable and realistic. I love making stuff from scratch, but getting into the mindset of having to make everything at home, just because I'm technically capable (and its fractionally cheaper or healthier) is overwhelming and paralyzing. Thank you for this video. I hope the waning days of winter are gentle ones for you. Signs of spring are nigh!

I think vegan is the answer. I'm desperate to be healthy. Both of my parents had dementia, so I left work and had to defecate and urinate for a long time on my own. Last year, they both passed away after 3 months. It was stressful. After my parents passed away, all I had was physical and heartache. I got a brain aneurysm and two brain aneurysms on my head. I even had hypothyroidism and suddenly I gained 15kg. Anxiety disorder Panic disorder I'm still experiencing insomnia. It's been a year since my parents died and I'm still in treatment, but I've only started again. I've had the courage to share and communicate, so I started UA-cam, took a walk, and traveled. Now I want to be healthy. I want everyone watching this video to be healthy. When you lose your health, you lose everything.

One of the things that's really helped me with that mental 'oh my god I don't want to cook for myself' kind of vibe is having pre-cut frozen veggies. I recently found a bag of mixed plain bell peppers, a bag of diced butternut squash (no peeling required!) a bag of mirepoix - things I hadn't really noticed since they weren't broccoli or cauliflower. You can oven roast things straight from frozen, too. I've also found those little cubed hash browns convection baked in several tablespoons of oil crisp up better than regular fries if you're craving crunchy without as much guilt. You could add those to breakfast burritos, too.
This video made a few meal prepping ideas seem more approachable. Really eyeing that fajita style bowl! Now to just get myself to stay in the kitchen...

If you buy containers for meal prep, I would recommend getting some with two chambers. That way, you can keep your rice or noodles separate from the rest incase you make something with a sauce like an indian curry for example (which is by the way a great dish for vegan high protein meal prep!)

Not that it really matters if you're eating a ton of veggies anyway, since the difference in nutrition between white and brown rice isn't huge.....BUT, I have found that soaking brown rice ahead of time and then cooking it exactly like it's white rice results in a texture that's almost indistinguishable. If that extra gram or two of fiber is desirable to you, but you dislike brown rice, give it a try! I also recommend venturing out with grains or mock grains or pseudo grains. Try farro, buckwheat, barley, millet, amaranth, sorghum, quinoa, wild rice or steel cut oats anywhere you'd use rice. I usually have a few portions of most, if not all, of those in my freezer. You might end up liking one even more than rice. My personal favorite is farro. I love inviting people over and then giving them a choice of what to put their entree on top of. People usually choose something they've never tried before and that's fun.

So many opinions online, but I trust yours as I've watched you for years and we have similar cooking preferences (except I'm as crazy for onions as you are garlic lol).
