- This is so cool! I have never seen large radius curves for Lego monorail before but got a sneak peek at some manufactured by Paul's Printing. I was told they will be available soon on his Etsy store linked below. This video is not sponsored in any way.
NOTE: At the time of upload the seller is on vacation and will return later in June.
Paul's Printing Etsy store (should have large radius curves soon)

Paul's Printing 4D Brix store (no large radius curves, only 4d Brix designs)

You are the Devil!...You are tempting me away from all thats right and holy and making me think of straying from the noble true path of Trains with your fancy harlot Monorail curves...I am weak and you are leading me astray.
Shut up and take my money!! Large curves for monorail, nice find!!
Clicked fast at this update
That's really cool, have you seen the guy who made a monorail motor adapter for a normal power functions motor to be used as a monorail motor?
I have! It's been brought up in our discord server several times. It may be something I cover at some point
nah with printing options now its easy to grab printer and have
clean prints in no time
Not something I'm interested in. I imagine you'd need a large / expensive printer to print these not to mention the time and experience. I'd rather just support someone like Paul's Printing to do all that for me. I don't even have the space to put a printer 🤷♂️
@@BatteryPoweredBricks You can get a printer on which you can print all tracks shorter than 26-28 studs for 160$ from Bambulab, you don't need almost any space and knowledge to use these printers.
Awesome. I would like to have that one too:)
I like that wide radius Track.
I'm definitely looking forward to putting them to good use, but I do think it will be a long while before I have the chance. As far as I know this is the first addition to the available monorail track options in many years, at least from an online store.
I’m 11 minutes late 😂
5:20 Maybe just maybe. A monorail freight train? IDK why but could perhaps be pretty fun, and a test. Maybe i should get myself to buy some used stock of monorail stuff and i can make it myself. Hmmm. And also what is the name of you,re discord?
With the extension cars it's definitely easier to make a train instead of just a monorail baseplate on either side of the motor. I haven't done much testing with how many cars they can pull / push or how much weight will bog down the motor. Especially with ramps / spirals.
This is awesome, hoping Paul will take orders soon! Thank you for creating and sharing this video, hope to add this to my monorail track as well someday!
Thanks! Yes the entire purpose of this channel is to share my experience and passion for creative Lego solutions. It's certainly not a commercial venture 😂 but it is a ton of fun!
So cool! But I’m supposed to be spending _less_ money on Lego! 😢
I know, me too 😅
I have only four words... Counter Rotating Double Spiral!
OK, a few more words :) You MUST make it for me, as I can't order from Paul's Printing from in Canada, I can't afford it anyway, and I am way too small for monorail sponsorship :(
Ok that would be awesome! The only problem is I don't think the printed tracks are near as flexible
@@BatteryPoweredBricks Ahhh, good point. Was wishful thinking anyways... One would need a very large table to accommodate such a "double Rainbow" of monorail goodness.
These wide curves are definitely quite practical. Although I don't have my Airport Shuttle set up at the moment I might just get some large curves like these and mount them to the wall. Could be cool. Maybe buy a 3d printed monorail base so I can have a monorail displayed in direct sunlight without it being an expensive official model.
Never seen the large radius before but I can see a huge amount of potential especially for multi layer layouts. Could use these to offset lines as you raise height more easily than the normal curves.
I think it will be a while before I get the chance but I'm excited to put them to good use!
Are you planning to integrate these in the new Aquazone layout?
Nope! They are pretty big 😅. I ordered the pieces I needed to complete the current loop and ordered a full circle of the wide radius for future projects. It would probably have to be on the floor since I have a table for the Aquazone layout taking up space in the living room
Goed vid
Forgot to ad this: i now have a good size loop and a second train 4512
Do you think someone is going to make a modern monorail switch track? would be nice to make some.
There is a guy in a Lego monorail Facebook group that is experimenting with 3d printing switches, he seems to be making great progress so far
@@BatteryPoweredBricks what’s the name of the group?
you waffle to much
I mean you're not wrong... except your spelling of "too" 🤷♂️. Some folks prefer a bit of waffling to the TikTok's and Mr. Beasts of the world
