Hello! Clint Eastwood is very apreciate in France, very good actor. In Unforgiven very higt level of performance wich Richard Harris and Gene Hackman. I am fan since 1974. Greeting from France.

I was struck by it back then because I still thought of him just as an old cowboy actor and dirty cop actor. There he was, president of the jury at Cannes. I got a broader sense of his stature in and commitment to film as industry and art. Plus that was still near the beginning of his epic generation long run as a top tier director and producer.

No, I didn't forget Morgan Freeman, but when considering the degree of difficulty when it comes to the characters, William Munny, Little Bill Daggett, and English Bob were huge.
Could not agree more. The brilliance of Clint was that even though he was the top billed star, he let his co-stars have real character arcs and did not have to be in every scene. The conversation between Little Bill and English Bob in the jailhouse is a superb example.
I was lucky enough to be an extra on an Eastwood film for 2 days at WB, at one point he was just 1ft away from me, and sadly i was petrified to look at him for fear of bothering him or something to that extent. His Westerns and Dirty Harry movies are so re-watchable. I have seen them all many times and never tire of them. Richard Harris is fantastic too - in Cromwell, The Field, and so many others. good to see where eagles dare get mentions by others, one of my all time favourite war films, that. but, no place for for a few dollars more, with colonel mortimer? much prefer van cleef as the good guy
Gentleman like Clint humble a man like me , what a life and led with such grace and dignity..
It shows you how important upbringing is. You could not even make a man like Clint now.
Oh look, Bradley Cooper just casually in the audience watching the greatest man ever to live.
his new movie American Sniper is directed by Clint Eastwood. How cool is that!
pretty damn cool.
ThePilbaraPrince 12 years later.
Jacob Chancellor ...licking his lips creepily...
+Jacob Chancellor 0:30 I thought he looked familiar. Imagine, he must've been thinking, maybe someday I'll be sitting there.
Unforgiven in my opinion.. was one of the best westerns ever made and Richard Harris was terrific in that movie
What a handsome dude. Talented and so down to earth.
@Hello there, how are you doing this blessed day?
Harris as English Bob was a fantastic choice, RIP Richard Harris, was a mad as a brush, but a real talent.
HE LIVED DOWN THE LANE FROM ME IN CLIFDEN 50 MILES OUTSIDE GALWAY
There could have been better
@@thedoors4549 So What Dude and who cares better look for fame elsewhere!
@@jamessim1858 Moron ,fuck off with your dude shit .
Anyone willing to get the shit kicked out of them by gene Hackman would have been just as good.
Clint,
love all his movies and he was the best cowboy ever!
NO
The Duke will have words with you now ... Burt Lancaster next, Robert Mitchum next, Kirk Douglas after that, and if you haven't had enough by then Henry Fonda and Gary Cooper are about to arm wrestle to decide who puts the final nail in your coffin!
This is the most I've ever seen him talk. Usually he pretty much clams up on talk shows.
You go on a "talk show" to promote your latest movie, or your latest book, or your latest whatever; there would be no point in going on Inside The Actors Studio if you weren't willing to talk about your career.
Richard harris once told his wife he was going out to get the morning paper, he went on the drink with his buddies and didn't come back for two weeks, when he finally came home he ring the doorbell, the wife answered and just looked at him in disgust , after a long pause he said to her, why didn't you pay the bloody ransom, apparently she laughed,
True story.
Lol.... another legend of a man....
That's called definition of a living legend. Eastwood
Clint Eastwood becomes Acting legend. But that's not good enough so he becomes A legendary Director too lol
He's a better director, than actor. Imho.
Don’t you have a planet to invade?
@@pauladler9572 not anymore, he's got mostly bored meetings now like in the phantom menace lol. & i do mean bored hahaa. i kid but its amazing how true that is. i can't take credit for that. that's insight from red letter media
He’s not a bad director. But has never actually acted a part in his life.
@@Kotikjeff Idiot
I love it that he smiled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the idea that these esteemed fellows grew to be adults in a time that there was still a “tv room.” Love Harris and Eastwood is, always will be, my favorite actor. There isn’t a close second. Third place goes to
even at his age, his eyes still sparkle
Richard Harris is watching High plains drifter in the Bahamas, when Clint Eastwood calls up and asked if he'd like to be in one of the best westerners ever made? sh*t the bed.
Clint is one of the coolest and most talented actor/director and a Living Legend 🙌
Clint Eastwood was the nicest person I did work for in Carmel. He contracted us to do some stonework on his ranch.
His Westerns and Dirty Harry movies are so re-watchable. I have seen them all many times and never tire of them. Richard Harris is fantastic too - in Cromwell, The Field, and so many others. The classic manly actors like Kirk Douglas, John Wayne, Robert Mitchum, Gregory Peck, Charlton Heston, Burt Lancaster, William Holden, Gene Hackman, Anthony Quinn, Steve McQueen, Clint Eastwood, Ward Bond, Lee Van Cleef, Yul Brenner, Lee J. Cobb, Ernest Borgnine -- they don't make em like that anymore. What amazes me is that Eastwood is still going.
Can you imagine, watching a movie with Clint Eastwood in it, thinking "man I would love to act in a movie like this" and then the phone rings and it's Clint Eastwood asking if you want to act in a movie like this.
Every actor does.
You'd probably start thinking more things after that
I love unforgiven, it started me down the rabbit hole of Clint westerns and Sergio Leone movies and Ennio Morricone music so much to appreciate and love
Nobody doesn't love Clint.
Great clip, always Clint being Clint, who doesn't like him!
I always loved the song Richard Harris sang.. McArthurs Park, something about a cake!
I watched this 8 years ago and I'm still laughing now
One of the best Westerns ever made. (Unforgiven)
He is the Man. He is a Legend.
Wonderful actor ✨🦋🦋🦋
I love High Plains Drifter but The Good, The Bad And The Ugly is my favorite all time western ...
So agree mate:)
Here I thought he was old _back then._ Keep going Clint!
Imagine watching a Clint Eastwood movie and Clint Eastwood calls . . .:)
Do ya feel lucky? Well, do ya, PUNK?
I would start watching a Margot Robbie film right after.. 🤩🤩🤩
@@ebbhead20 Haaaaa! Good one
Start looking for hidden cameras...
So you know my preference.
Eastwood is bad ass . Real American
For me, the greatest western of all time 🙏🏻

Liberty Valence, Never forget the scene in which Vera Miles and James Stuart come to view the body of John Wayne. You have to imagine how bad the corpse looked. Both Stuart and Wayne, and even Miles were too old for their parts but otherwise. Lee Marvin was a great heavy.
One of the great Hollywood Legends. Liked all his movies even the spaghetti westerns.
Gary Cooper ?
What happened to Gary Cooper ?
I think Clint is even more dashing older! Classic man!
great story Clint you still got it.
If just 50% of Hollywood had such upstanding men like this.
Richard Harris was a great "English Bob". You could just feel the pain as he sat in jail with broken bones listening to them call him "The Duck of Death". Fantastic!
No legends like this anymore
If you get a chance do yourself a favor and watch "A Man Called Horse" starring Richard Harris.
That is just a grueling movie to watch... I mean great day... If Harris really had to go through all that... I can't imagine.
I have. Its Not just a movie.. its Epic Grand superb acting. Each character memorable 🤔😏👌.
@Rob Rage No, it's not based on a true story. In fact it's a stupid movie. No wonder Native Americans don't like it. It's just another movie where the white guy gets to play the hero.
Rob Rage I am sorry but a man called horse wasn’t about Hugh Glass but Richard Harris did portray Glass in a film just not that one
@@rudipan1715 You should read the real life story of Quanah Parker. Born from a white mother (who was captured by a Comanche raiding party when she was nine) and an American Indian father into Comanche Nation. The history of the American Frontier is more interesting and dare I say it more diverse than you may believe.
Clint Eastwood is just A LEGEND .....
The man interviewing Clint is a great man!
Bradley Cooper looking enthralled, respect. Love Mr Eastwood. Loved Mr Harris.
Clint Eastwood a legend a wonderful marvelous amazing actor he is one of my all-time all-time all-time all-time favorite actors God I love him
Cancer is destroying lifes, fuck cancer, i hope we find a cure soon. RIP Richard Harris.
Everyone involved in that movie did a hell of a job. One of the great westerns if not the greatest.
He's been rich and famous my WHOLE LIFE!!..and he's still alive!..now that's a successful career!!
He died last week.
Fantastic person full of integrity and leadership.
When he was filming Hereafter, a text went round he was in our local pub, the Brockley Jack. in Brockley obviously. imagine being in a relatively nondescript pub in SE London and Clint Eastwood walks in. He doesnt give a shit because he's Clint Fucking Eastwood
Man that would be badass. I love Clint’s westerns. Can’t imagine having the dude call me in the middle of one.
Loved every thing that Clint ever did, except "every which way" However, he will forever be for me Rowdy Yates!
"Hang a right Clyde"
