Before you turned them, I saw a ship in the upper right one! Maybe a Viking ship, except there are two masts. I immediately imagined all kinds of stories about it. I love these, and how abstract art brings so many images to mind. This is wonderful!
Oooh! Cool!! Thank you! 🥰
Love your work once again, first thought is to love the right side because i like the amount of color, however as end piece i think the left one is the favorite 😍😍😍thank you for sharing once again❤❤❤
So glad you love them! Thank you! 🥰
Tried these tinted paints in a session today. I got a really nice granulating effect.
LOVE your work.
Glad you like them! Thank you! 🥰
I watched you today with the bronze powder and hearing you laugh and get excited made me think you are a “mad scientist” and I love it. They both are pretty in totally different ways. I bought a copper pen and I think that’s my jam like gold is yours. So the bronze was exciting too.
Haha! I’m totally a mad scientist… or maybe experimenter! Copper is cool, I love it too! Thank you! 🥰
Beautiful creations.
Thank you! 🥰
New sub and I am IN LOVE!! You are so fun. The bit about you can always end with punching out a heart if needed. ♥ I personally needed to hear that for encouragement. So true. Taking it too seriously is rarely the right answer when doing art, especially abstract. Thank you for sharing your process!!
So glad you enjoyed this… cutting up bad art into other things is so freeing. I’ve really leaned into that and enjoy my painting so much more instead of getting mad at bad paint days. Thank you! 🥰
These are interesting paints. Be careful sliding your hand down the paint stick. The last one I bought had rough side. You don't want a splinter. Love the powder. I will have to try it. Have a great eveing.😊
Good to know! Thank you! 🥰
Both of the finished pieces have a look of an oriental landscape. The sumi ink infused Gansai paints are a favorite of mine too,and I also have a set of the babmboo calligraphy brushes which are great for using in this way,and I also love the metallic watercolour powders too, they dry to a lovely rich shimmer and also change colours when you sprinkle them into still wet paint. You can make the powders into a paint as well which I discovered. The gold powder is also rather beautiful when used as well as is the silver which dries with an antiqued look to it.(matt) P.s Also the metallic powders work well with the liquid graphite you love as well
Thank you! 🥰
@@2lilowlsstudio Denise also the sumi ink Gansai paints and metallic powders also look amazing used on tan toned or grey toned watercolour paper/mixed media paper (Matt)
I absolutely love these. I really love the shadow palette. Actually, I love all the Kuretake palettes. I love the bronze powder. Schminke isn’t easy to come by in Australia. I got a Schminke watercolour set for Christmas, and it was shipped from Germany. I will try to find the powder. Another successful and beautiful abstract 😊
So glad you loved these. That metallic powder is really cool! Thank you! 🥰
Ok, I ordered the paints! Love that bronze powder!
These paints are fun! Hope you love them! 🎨🎨🎨
PURE JOY to watch you! Thank you
Thank you! 🥰
So perfect! I’ve coveted that bronze for years… I bought a random pack of similar powders at Michael’s and used all the bronze up so quickly!
Have you ever used or done a video with Brusho powders? If you haven’t, I think you’d love what they do. You can’t control it, so it’s so fun to play with!
I haven’t done one with brusho, but I have some with the watercolor powders - different brands, and they are super fun!! I love the bronze too. 😊
SUNDAY FUNDAY!!!!! WOOOO, its amazing to see the light verses dark version of each piece. That right side though......looks like a Japanese pokemon character. You need to frame that puppy and hang it up, LOL. the left one reminds me of a Tibetan mountain side. Frame that puppy too, LOL. ❤😊❤
These were a lot of fun to experiment with!! So glad you enjoyed these! Thank you! 🥰
Beautiful colors, I like when you experiment with colors I have been thinking about, now I know I want that powder. I wonder how it would work in a salt shaker, I see some experiments in my future 😊
@@marydevivo5773 A salt shaker might be fun - maybe tape off the holes when not using it so moisture doesn't get in and activate it. I think it would just harden in the shaker if moisture got in. Good luck! Thank you! 🥰
@@2lilowlsstudio I agree, I have used shakers with other dry pigments and when I am done I put plastic wrap on the top and then the lid
It looks like an aerial landscape view. Very cool!
Thank you! 🥰
Another masterpiece. Love them both to pieces!
Thank you! 🥰
I don't have the gold pigment you used but I do have some other paint powder (Lindy's Magicals I think) in other colors. That might be fun. I had never used a lot of watercolor but I am absolutely loving the Kuretake Gansai Tambi sets I got for Christmas. A whole new world!
You should totally give the powders you have a try! Fun!! Thank you! 🥰
So encouraged to get out the bamboo brush again - I haven't used it for a long while. These turned out beautifully, and I actually loved them turned upside down as well. Yay for some Sunday painting - here I go! (using regular watercolors so we'll see how that plays out).
Yes!! You need to get that brush back out it makes cool marks in watercolor! Happy painting 🎨🎨🎨
Another special one. Wow! You used a delicate touch and it works fabulously.
Thank you! 🥰
Oooooo…love those water colors and shine of the powder. Thank you for showing us to more “cool” (O.K., I’m aging myself) ideas. Have a great Sunday, Denise.
So glad you loved it! Thank you! 🥰
Thinking about maybe stenciling on the one on the left (the lighter one) with black . . .
Maybe! 😊
Happy Sunday morning!
Same to you! 🎨😊🤗
a stunning piece, I love it ☺☺☺
Thank you! 🥰
They are so pretty. I always look forward to your videos. 💜
I'm so glad! Thank you! 🥰
Absolutely stunning. Now I want that paint set. Thank you.
That’s a cool set! Different than all the other sets! Thank you! 🥰
Oh, a new art treat to consider. I recently purchased the brush -- it offered quite the experience --I cannot believe the amount of shedding! I'm going to try again to see if it's just the initial journey of the brush. Thanks for the video, Denise. I love the colors!
I think I get a little shedding each time I use it. But I still love it, so I haven't put it away. I'll have to experiment with some other long bristled brushes and see if there is one that does the same but sheds less. Thank you! 🥰
Love this, and love your style. New subbie here ❤
Welcome!! Thank you! 🥰
Looks amazing. I really love the light version.
Thank you! 🥰
So fun watching you create! Love this😍
Thank you! 🥰
Superbe
Thank you! 🥰
Awesome paint day, thanks Denise!
Thank you! 🥰
I love the textural element & elegance the powders brought to these pieces. So fun!
Also, that Gansai Tambi graphite paint is always simply gorgeous. Can't go wrong with it.
Is there a particular fixative that should be used with the metallic powders, or will any fixative do the job?
I don't fix my pieces - but any of them should be fine! Thank you! 🥰
Whoops! I just realized those aren't Gansai Tambi Graphites, but E-Sumi. Those are new to me.
Very pretty!
Love the color palette!
Thank you! 🥰
I’m surprised that the powder needs to be scooped, the jar should have smaller openings like spice jars or like on brusho jars, for ease ability. Love that brush!
I guess you could put some in a different container like a salt shaker, but then moisture could get to it maybe. I don't mind the opening. I have some older Daniel Smith powders and the jars are even bigger. Thank you! 🥰
Love these! New subscriber here ❤
Yay! Thank you! 🥰
So cool!! What size is your bamboo brush?
Thank you! 🥰 It is a number 6: Winsor & Newton Bamboo Brush - amzn.to/41U1Aa3
