So there's a legitimate theory out there amongst different people affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints about whether Jospeh Smith was the Archangel Gabriel or Uriel, or even the Holy Ghost himself and what that does or doesn;t entail. Bubkle up... it's gonna get crazy!

He didn’t just say that “some of you would want to kill me”, he said that there are “some, even on this stand” with him amongst the leadership of the church that would be willing to kill him if he were to reveal that information. That is even heavier than people realize.
Revelation ch.5 says that the book with 7 seals couldn’t be opened because no one was worthy enough to open them and the angels wept. But the “lion of the tribe of Judah hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.”
So the archangels are not the ones opening the seals/dispensations, Jehovah/Christ is. Which is why ever dispensation head had an experience where Jehovah/Jesus visited them.
So if Joseph was archangel he didn’t have to be in angelic form for the 7th seal to be open. But at that moment in the first vision, the last seal/dispensation was opened and Joseph was the head of it
Seventh seal has not been opened yet. I don't know where that got started but it's no where to be found in any of our doctrine. We are still in the sixth seal. A channel called gospel lessons goes into better. I actually didn't totally believe him so I went into heavy research mode and found nothing saying we were in the 7th seal. I could have missed something so it's just food for thought 😉😊

Kuaku is actually right about talking to angels. Jeffrey Holland gave couple talks on this way back in the day and maybe that's why no one remembers? But he says God gave us angels to assist and since he can only be in one place at a time there are many angels sent to help and assist. It's not replacing God but respecting his plan and how he has it. Set up. God doesn't just tell those angels to take a seat... He's got this. He delegates because that's what a good leader does. By calling upon your angels sent by God, you are in fact honoring God 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I think the evidence best supports Uriel being Enoch. And the video description says JS may be Gabriel, but it’s confirmed that Gabriel is Noah.
Joseph Smith being the Holy Ghost or there being more than one is difficult to square with “Everlasting covenant was made between three personages before the organization of this earth, and relates to their dispensation of things to men on the earth; these personages, according to Abraham’s record, are called God the first, the Creator; God the second, the Redeemer; and God the third, the witness or Testator” (Smith, Teachings, 190).
Catholics absolutely believe that the saints carry the prayers to God for the prayer. That’s the whole purpose of praying to the Saint. Once again Kweku is correct haha.

Then afterwards i googled who that was and got: Remiel is the archangel of hope, and he is credited with two tasks: he is responsible for divine visions, and he guides the souls of the faithful into Heaven.

So I do have a question from when you were talking about praying to Jesus: how do we have a relationship with Christ if we Don't pray to Him.?. I've asked this question ever since I joined the church. And never really had a satisfactory answer.
The way I think of it now is that when I pray to Heavenly Father in Jesus name, I'm kind of automatically praying to Jesus at the same time.
I just don't get how I can have a relationship with anyone....unless I actually talk to them
They are united in purpose. As the Savior says, His actions in mortality reflected the Father's actions when He was in mortality. Our prayers to the Father are reflected to the Savior. That is how we develop a relationship with the Savior. A relationship with the Father is reflected as a relationship with the Savior. The principle of a chiasm is the principle of a mirror; it comes through Egypt as the ankh, in that the way to eternal life is through the principle of a mirror. Our Savior's countenance is reflected on us as we use His Atonement in repentance and in our growth, day by day, and in developing a relationship with our Father, and then through the principle of this eternal mirror, with the Savior Himself.
This mirror principle is repeated in many places in scripture, in ordinances, and in world events. The first is last and the last first. The eternal mirrors in the sealing room. The step pyramids. The mikvah washing ritual. Chiastic literature. The center point / reflection point is the main point of the mirror - and always reflects around Christ.
3 Nephi indicates that the only time we pray to the Savior is when He is in our physical presence.

I try to think of The Atonement as a very personal and intimate experience. The Savior is literally tending to our wounds and healing them. This is a pretty close relationship especially when you consider the gravity of what The Atonement is. He literally walks with us, as do The Father, and the Holy Ghost. It's our job to tune our bodies and spirits, (our vessel/and communication antenna in this mortal plane) to their holy frequency. The scriptures and the words of the prophets our our guide. The ordnances and covenants administered by the holy priesthood is the path. Faith, repentance, baptism, and holy ghost. The plan of salvation. It's pretty cool to think about and then live.

Now on prayers to Jesus: Jesus IS GOD HE IS EQUAL WITH THE FATHER IN DIVINITY THEY ARE ONE. We as Latter Day Saints believe Jesus is Jehovah, aka Yahweh. The Hebrews clearly prayed to the God Yahweh. He is was and will be God. THE REASON WE DONT PRAY TO JESUS IS NOT BECAUSE HES LESS THAN THE FATHER. The reason in my opinion and based on my research, we pray to the father in the name of Jesus and guided by the spirit. Our prayers involve all three members of the Godhead who are one God in purpose, mission, authority, and glory. With the new covenant in the latter days our prayers involve all three. I believe if you pray to Jesus the whole of the Godhead will hear you and answer your prayer, but a mark of the new covenant is prayers involving all three. To the father in the name of Jesus guided by the Holy Ghost.

What do you guys think of John 16:12-13 in regards to Joseph Smith?
“12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

The traditional understanding is that this refers to the Holy Ghost, as the Holy Ghost is identified as the spirit of truth in two previous chapters: John 14 and 15. I’m not convinced of the whole Joseph Smith = Holy Ghost thing, but this verse certainly seems suggestive.
Semi interesting side note that may not mean anything. Joseph never referred to the HG as I or me. He also never referred to the person of the HG as he, him, she or her, but as IT. And as we all know IT stands for Information Technology, which may have something to do with how we receive revelation. 😁

This is why I disagree with Margaret Barker (and other biblical scholars), PLUS the Book of Mormon clearly uses “he” in reference to the Holy Spirit. Barker and others base their theory in part on the Hebrew word for spirit/breath (it’s the same), ruach (sp?), being feminine, but in Greek, (p?)neuma, it is neutral.
The Presence of God/Divine Presence/Shekinah is also feminine in Hebrew, and is often anthropormophized as such.
There’s also apparently a bit in the apocryphal Gospel of the Hebrews where Jesus is written as having referred to the Holy Spirit as “his mother” at his baptism.
One idea I do like to agree with from Barker and at least one other scholar, is that “Lady Wisdom” (as they have dubbed her) in the creation account in I forget which Psalm, could also be the Mother (and if you look at Heavenly Mother stuff on BYU studies, I think? this connection was also made by an early apostle). “Wisdom” happened to retain the feminine form when translated from Hebrew to Greek (Sophia!), and also into English (and I’m pretty sure statements like “wisdom and her children” are made in the NT, but those could totally be completely symbolic/based on translation (Hebrew has very general pronouns and uses “she/he” instead of gendered forms of “it” for some gendered words). BUT I like to think of Heavenly Mother as Wisdom, or at least wise, and isn’t there “women’s intuition” being thrown around in society?
But I believe She has a body and has already gone through a life and resurrection, because God the Father could not be such without a wife, according to our doctrine. So I don’t think She is Mary (also a connection Barker makes, but I haven’t read up on that aspect so I don’t know really much about that theory) as Mary has not yet been resurrected (as far as we know?), and could not have been the Mother with the Father from the beginning if she had not yet gone through a mortal life.

He speaks multiple times in the talk about creating spirit children. He makes it clear, keys to make spirit children are only given to crown resurrected folk. You are right, they are evenly yoked.

Just a little side note, there is usually a lot of confusion with the seven trumpets and the seven seals, but the seven seals do not represent 7 dispensations, but instead each represents 7 thousand years of the earth's existence (fall of Adam ABOUT 4000 BC - 2000 AD nowadays + 1000 millenium ). As explained in the following verses.
D&C 77
"6 Q. What are we to understand by the book which John saw, which was sealed on the back with seven seals?
A. We are to understand that it contains the revealed will, mysteries, and the works of God; the hidden things of his economy concerning this earth during the seven thousand years of its continuance, or its temporal existence.
7 Q. What are we to understand by the seven seals with which it was sealed?
A. We are to understand that the first seal contains the things of the first thousand years, and the second also of the second thousand years, and so on until the seventh."
The one who opens the seals is Jesus Christ (Revelations 5:1-9) not the 7 Archangels (or the dispensational Prophets)
And the seventh seal was not opened at the time of the First Vision but probably in the beginning of the 21st century, but when and where and how is just speculation.(or if it has been already opened at all?)
The 7th seal is opened with a massive earthquake, like landscape changing, California separating, continent rearranging earthquake. When the 7th seal opens, we’ll know about it.
Could Moroni be Uriel? He is the one who ushers in the new and everlasting covenant... He also delivered the plates, urim and thumim act...
There are 7 different archangels and 2 that govern unique dispensations. Michael (Adam) is the first Christ and The original protohuman (angel in human form) who was given the power to plant his own seed and have his own kingdom on earth. Then Joseph who is named ( unknown ) who is the restorationist of the original gospel plan. That was P.s. taken from earth around 420 B.c. when the Macabees lost their royal right to the priesthood authority. These two work in specific callings that no other prophets had authority to enact. The Holy Ghost is a Spirit entity who does this best work when the human is willing to listen and act. He is not human but will gain a body some day when all on earth is acting in righteousness and unison to provide this exact environment of Holiness and sanctity. I'm quickly finding out that I know a lot about specific apocryphal thing people seem to ignore. Ill happily come on and speak about these things.
D&C 13 is only one verse long, and states that the Aaronic Priesthood "holds the keys of the ministering of angels."
So, at the very least, any worthy deacon can petition angels to minister (attend, serve) on his behalf.
Now, so far as I am aware, D&C does not lay out the process of how this can be accomplished. Do we ask God to have angels minister on our behalf? Or do we address angels directly (in the name of Jesus Christ, of course)?

There is a lot of noise in the universe, even within the universe and it's infinite number of frequencies, there is much noise. This is why we pray to the father in the name of Jesus Christ. When you call somebody on the phone you might have 10 different John Smith's or Joseph Smith's on your phone, but there is a number specific for each one of those persons. With the father there are multiple fathers in the universe including Abraham and Adam and many others, but there is only one Jesus Christ, and therefore there is only one Father of that Jesus Christ and therefore we are able to direct our conversation to the one intended. Considering this I understanding that is why we end the prayer and the name of Jesus Christ, and not just in the name of Jesus. Lots of people are named Jesus in the world but there is only one Jesus Christ.
I’ve heard a theory that the Holy Ghost is training to be the savior in the next worlds that people in the celestial kingdom will create.
So basically Jesus was once a Holy Ghost or something like that.
Joseph Smith taught this on 27 August 1843.
Truman G Madsen says that Heavenly Father was a savior on his earth and uses John 5:19 to justify it. I have met some people that followed the assumptions of this far enough for them to believe that only Christ will be a "Heavenly Father" and we will all be celestial beings underneath him, having spirit children, and populating the worlds he presides over with our own spirit children. Hence the joint heirs thing. We will not be "God", but rather celestial beings like God who produce spirit children for the worlds Jesus Christ will preside over as "God". Tied to this theory, I have heard that Christ was a HG in a previous creation and that is what his preparation for saviorhood looked like.
Interesting! Personally I don't think as mortals we can comprehend the truth. We are only theorizing what it will be like through mortal eyes. There is another issue with that premise. We are taught that Heavenly Father is the father of our spirits and that we should pray to him. If you say we have different fathers in heaven that creates a problem.

There is also room for another reading which would follow more the Blake Ostler route, which posits a Most High God that was divine from all eternity and that this divinity is shared by the Godhead in a loving, relational model into which we are invited to enter and in which we may participate. It relies on the understanding of intelligences being co-eternal with God, not being created (see D&C 93:29) and the fact that we are of the literal same species as God, and that loving, divine relationship is the end purpose of our being.
That is, of course, if I understand the view correctly. But it does reject the creation of spirit children as I understand it, since Joseph Smith used "Spirit" and "Intelligence" interchangeably on multiple occasions.
What you are proposing is an ontological difference between us and deity, which I'm unsure is the case. It seems to undermine the invitations/commandments to be "even as I am" (3 Nephi 27:27) and to be perfect as are the Father and Son (Matthew 5:48, 3 Nephi 12:48) and Jehovah's injunction that "ye are gods" (Psalm 82). This while also presenting a difficult reading of being joint-heirs with Christ of all the Father has if not able to be what They are (Romans 8, D&C 84).
Not saying you're wrong, just there are still more ways to understand the scripture. It is interesting, though, and one question I'm still working with.
However it works out I'm standing back and letting God be God. I'm pretty sure that my current godhead will always be my godhead though.

The Seven Angels or dispensation heads are in order: Enoch, Noah, Moses, Elijah, John, (Joseph Smith?), and Michael(Adam) is the seventh angel (D&C 88). Interesting that D&C 133:54-55 goes through them in order. Also looking at seven churches in the book of revelation the third church correlates to Moses the third dispensation head and forth with elijah the fourth.
Also, all until John were translated. (You could say Noah might have been translated of all those others were excluding Joseph smith of course)
He stands in the Office of the Holy Ghost, as pertaining to this earth, and he is the One Mighty and Strong who will come to set in order the house of God.
Barachiel I believe he called himself, or referred to himself in writings.
Then said the Most High, the Holy and Great One spoke, and sent Uriel to the son of Lamech, and said to him: " and tell him in my name 'Hide thyself!' and reveal to him the end that is approaching: that the whole earth will be destroyed, and a deluge is about to come upon the whole earth, and will destroy all that is on it." One thought that came up as far as Mother Mary though: could she be our Heavenly Mother? When Nephi is shown the condescension of God, he’s shown Mary first, and when he asks to see what his dad saw, the first thing he’s shown to describe the visions is Mary. It would make sense that, if the Father is not adulterous, He would only have a child with His Wife . . . which would be our Heavenly Mother, condescending to come down to earth just as Her Son did? It’s a thought, I’d be curious to hear your guys’ opinions on that.
Well Mary was married to and had kids with Joseph. So I’m gonna say probably not. Especially since Heavenly Mother probably already has a body like Heavenly Father.
@@thexplodenator3007 There are legends passed on in other Christian branches (I'll have to look them up after work, but I've heard them) which claim Mary didn't have children with Joseph even after marriage; this would mean the "brothers and sisters" in the New Testament record were his half-siblings, and likely much older than Jesus since they weren't around to care for their mother. Jesus had to tell John the Beloved to take care of her after He died.
And as for having a body, that may not be the deterrent many think it to be. The book of Abraham describes God standing among "these souls [seeing] that they were good," and that Abraham was one of those good souls. If "the spirit and the body are the soul of man," as Joseph had revealed before translating the book of Abraham, that would mean these souls are a group of beings who had been resurrected, owned bodies of their own, and are later described as the "Gods" who created the world. And Abraham was one of them. That would mean others, given as rulers to the "residue" of beings who need testing here on earth, are likewise Godly and came to this world even though they already had bodies and dwelt in glory before. They also condescended to be here, though perhaps not with as intense of an assignment as our Savior carried out. Given this, I don't think it would be impossible for our Heavenly Mother to be one of these.
Remember that polygamy is a principle that does not disqualify one from exaltation. I think Heavenly Father will be okay.

That Gospel Dispensations chart is interesting because it shows that Jesus was not considered the dispensation head. Also, think about Peter at the pearly gates.
They prayed to Jesus in 3rd Nephi because they were in His presence. Jesus explains that they did because he was in their presence. But after he leaves, they were to pray to his Father

The Arch Angel Phanuel is more than likely the closest to Joseph Smith - "Archangel Phanuel is known as the angel of repentance and hope, He encourages people to repent and pursue eternal relationships with God."
I have for a very long time believed that JS is an archangel: 7 arch angels. 7 dispensations... though I never knew which. I think having watched this, I am on Team Uriel. who is a prominent angel in the Harry Dresden series. also played by Michael Imperioli in the Lucifer TV series.

I've come to learn (personally) that there are also beings who are called the Holy Ghost. I found it so interesting you mentioned all these archangels and Joseph Smith being Uriel.
This is personal revelation and I can't declare it as truth to the whole church cause I don't have the keys but for myself I've come to learn (so far)
That there are seven beings who are the Holy Ghost together. Here are their names:
Michael (Adam) - root
Phanuel (Eve) - sacral
Gabriel (Noah) - solar plexus
Masael (Mary, mother of Jesus) - heart
Uriel (Joseph Smith) - throat
Raphael (Abel) - 3rd eye
Aeliel (Elizabeth) - crown
Each of these angels have lots of other mortalities as well. They come to earth all the time.
Together, they serve as the Holy Ghost. Michael presides.
Each of them also presides over one of the chakras as indicated above.
Beyond this, every spirit in the Plan of Salvation other than Elohim and Jehovah, together constitute a great composite intelligence or quorum that is called "the Holy Ghost" with the seven arch angels listed above presiding over the group.
The title and name of the holy ghost is beautiful.

Wow. Crazy fringe conspiracy theories brought into this episode. There are truly those who believe in multiple probations. What is the need? Are Christ and God so imperfect that they need us on constant repeat for indefinite periods of time? But that contradicts church doctrine, so a belief in that would cause one to throw out the doctrine of resurrection that comes after this life. How awful the thought to be required to relive countless mortal probations passing through a veil of forgetfullness again, and go through difficult trials again and again and again until one can finally enjoy resurrection after who knows how many mortal probations are required. This concept throws out the salvation and GRACE of Christ. This is a concept of spiritual groundhogs day and is a ghastly thought. Instead of the grace of Christ and his ability to make us perfect in him we are left with a concept of earning heaven that is antiChrist and anti-salvation as we all become our own individual saviors. Anyhow, interesting crazy talk. Never a dull moment here at Midnight mormons.

About 15 years ago I took on the same idea that Saintly Spirit (Holy Ghost) because of the role that the Saintly Spirit takes on. The comforter is one, who better to comfort the children than the Saintly Spirit. Then about 6 years ago I saw Margaret Barker and her conclusion, so that presents even more evidence that the idea has merit
It gets a little more interesting when you see archangels are associated with directions and elements. For example, Michael is earth, Gabriel is water....

Gents, Seems to me that the difference between an evil prayer that includes attempts to communicate with angles and holy sanctioned communication payer is who the glory is directed to. That is the fundemental difference we have learned about between good and evil, no?
Kweku nonchalantly threw out that the 7th seal was opened at the First Vision? Did I hear that right? Where did that piece of information come from? We haven't even seen all that needs to unfold in the 6th seal yet. (i.e. sealing of the144,000, which means the return of the lost ten tribes because there will be 12,000 taken from each tribe; The New Jerusalem is redeemed and built in Independence, Jackson County, MO and Christ reigns there personally.) The 7th seal has not been opened yet.

I am confused...Archangel, my understanding is that there is only one Archangel which is Michael.
"Michael, or Adam, is the archangel or chief angel." (found in scripture Study helps under Archangel definition.)
The rest are just angels.

We have no revealed knowledge of who the Holy Ghost is. My opinion, it is not Joseph Smith.
Jesus Christ is a title. So it's not that far off. I personally think that more than one people can have the title of Holy Ghost is Heavenly Mother. And I don't really believe that she doesn't have a body of flesh and blood. I personally think she has a power that allows her to move as if she has no physical body.
Also Adam God is already taught in the church. I would love to be on your show to explain what I mean.
Joseph is an archangel, but he is also Moshiach ben Yosef.
As a latter day saint I've come to believe the seven angels are the holy ghost. Like a composite, they all can act in the name of the holy ghost and preside over it. They are over in charge with it and theirs a being who hasn't had a body yet who they act for and govern for.
People get the idea of becoming a holy ghost from a few places like in the king follet discourse and people being able to act in the name of the holy ghost and we become spirit's after this life for a while and act on the name of the holy ghost for ancestors or family on Earth.

You guys need to have an episode of a read through of the apocryphal work of the discourse on Abbaton. It has links to the book of Abraham especially Abraham 7:48-49 where the earth speaks and complains about the wickedness of man. The earth speaking is not found in the Bible. There is also a possible explanation of the Adam god theory in this text and a reason why Satan is not just upset his plan was not chosen. He is upset that Adam was sat on the thrown of god after his creation. That’s why is is trying to get Adam to eat the fruit. In this context it’s all about his hatred for Adam. Very fascinating read. There is a lot of parallels in this document with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Interesting to point out as well Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are 2 distinct beings during the creation of Adam
So, the real question is, who is the Holy Ghost?

on rare occasions I have called upon arch-angels for specific purposes. For one thing, the Aaronic priesthood gives us the RIGHT to the ministering of angels. So, you need a quick warrior angel for protection: Michael. you need to find your car keys: Chamuel. sometimes you don't have to call the CEO when a technician can help you out.
I don’t think Joseph Smith is the Holy Ghost. I think Adam is the Holy Ghost, “The first (Adam) shall be last”. But I’m very sure that Joseph Smith is definitely an arch angel.

Orson Pratt said Adam is an angel and a God. Joseph Smith is indeed one of the seven archangels. The seven archangels are the dispensation heads. Jesus Christ is not a dispensation head.

Heavenly mother is the tree of life, menorah and is referenced in scripture in “code”, for those with the eyes to see, as “wisdom.” What does the Holy Ghost do? Bestows wisdom. Just sayin’. Thus, the holy Trinity.
What do I mean? Well, Adam fell that men might be, and men are that they might have joy. How do we have true joy? Through the companionship of the Holy Ghost. Plus, Adam fell first (with Eve), therefore they will not be resurrected until all of their offspring ( the good ones) are resurrected. Adam as Michael the Arch Angel will therefore be here as the Holy Ghost to help us back home, if we let him. He’s also the one, along with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, who created this earth for us to live on. There are 3 in the Godhead, Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost, who I believe is Adam.

I have wondered if Abel was the Holy Ghost. Since a ghost is by definition a disembodied spirit and he may have been the first person that died. If not, Abel was a great man that didnt really do anything.
