G C can sing any song and make it his own. His soothing voice could reach any soul, speaking for myself. Regrettably, never got the chance to see him perform in person.
I remember hearing this song on that Wichita Lineman album when I was a little kid. My Mom loved Glen (most people did back then) and played his records often.
this was on the witchita lineman album (a fantastic record) ... I was about 13 when I first heard this all those years ago and I am still moved by the song's beauty and Glen's brilliant performance
Did not know this video existed. Love it. Song is one of favorite classics by the Bee Gees. Years ago, I read that Glen Campbell had perfect pitch. He could easily cover any song.
My Mom was a huge fan of Glen, had all his albums. His version of this song was actually the first one I remember hearing, before the original. I liked it as a kid, and like it as an old man.
Glen's looks always reminded of a childhood friend...they both are gone. Very few voices are so refined and sweet as his and Pavarotti. God really blessed them
I saw him perform in Branson, MO. There was a period where he was performing at Andy Williams' Moon River Theater in Branson. One half of the show was Glen and the other half was Andy. Both were amazing performers. It's been 20 years since I went to that show, but I'll never forget it. What a great memory.
When our daughter was born we had settled on Elizabeth for the middle name but we were struggling to pick her first name and I thought about this song as she was born in April and I said to my husband, if we name her April we'll always have pieces of April. Even when she grows up and moves away. That was forty three years ago.
The beach boys asked Glen to join the band when they had "problems" with a member because it was widely known that Glen had THE finest voice and perfect pitch on the planet.
I don’t generally think remakes are as good as the original, but Glen has risen above on this one, but I’m never surprised when it comes to his ability.
holy I was 3 ....and despite my mums music taste I had other tastes in country music, felt I could escape and think the firs one was southern nights that I fell in love with
The only guy in my life time ( I'm 60 now ) ( I was 13 when elvis died - grew up elvis wirh My mother mostly all she played in the weekends) ....Ronnie McDowell. The only real elvis voice copy. This Austin Butler played Elvis in the BioPic. There are some others that are close but NOT close enough. Just my opinion. Prove me wrong. I've studied elvis front, backwards sideways. Up and down.
Actually, Glen was one of the first artists to do a widely heard cover of a Bee Gees song when they were still not well known in the USA. this cover dates back to his 1968 Wichita Lineman album.
Did you ever consider that The Bee Gees may have been honored to have him do their song? After all he gives them credit and they do get paid every time someone records their songs
You're right: the Bee Gees loved when people did covers of their music. (They also wrote for many other artists, Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton to name just two.)There's footage on YT of them performing with Glen & Willie Nelson in 1979. They were all having a blast & the music was fantastic. Check it out!
There will NEVER be another like Glen.. No matter what he sings is just glorious... The Bee Gees version, never sounded like this. So sorely missed.
The original artist was Bread not The Bee Gees. Both wonderful groups though. 😊❤
@@danstunebeegees wrote the song
@@speedracer2336 of course- my mistake. The Bee Gees wrote it.
@@speedracer2336 you are so right. My mistake! Hahaha!! 🙏
His voice and songs will linger on into eternity and will echo through the universe. He brought us so much joy.
G C can sing any song and make it his own. His soothing voice could reach any soul, speaking for myself. Regrettably, never got the chance to see him perform in person.
Any song he sings becomes his own.
🎶🎶🎺🎺❤️Wonderful tune,❤Love love ❤this
He was the classiest muso in the business.
I remember hearing this song on that Wichita Lineman album when I was a little kid. My Mom loved Glen (most people did back then) and played his records often.

Loved his cover....lovely rich voice 😍 .Also liked the fact that he gave credit where it was due....
My Mom was a huge fan of Glen, had all his albums. His version of this song was actually the first one I remember hearing, before the original. I liked it as a kid, and like it as an old man.

Glen and Andy Gibb have the best cover versions of that song.
Just beautiful, he could cover any song by any artist and often even better.

NOBODY BETTER. MISS HIM. HIS SIGNING COMES HIS ❤️!
Great Country Version of this Bee Gees hit
Glen's looks always reminded of a childhood friend...they both are gone. Very few voices are so refined and sweet as his and Pavarotti. God really blessed them
Glen was a highly underrated guitar player.
He was considered one of the best guitar players ever.
My favorite male singer an artist I just love it when I find these gems on UA-cam and add them to my saved list
He could not write songs like the BeeGees, but they couldn’t play like him and he could sing!
So beautiful !
Not an easy song to sing but he does a beautiful job !!!!!
Great job Mr. Campbell!

Endless Flight is still one of the most incredible songs I've ever heard!
😊
Were all in love with him!
The beach boys asked Glen to join the band when they had "problems" with a member because it was widely known that Glen had THE finest voice and perfect pitch on the planet.
Bautiful. Glen's the best. Thank you for posting.
Fantastic thanks for posting,i would love to see more of this show.
Barry, Robyn & Mo would have been so happy to hear their words (pun intended) sung by this great voice.
I remember when he released this record. Thanks for sharing. Good memories
This is my favorite song ever!! And this version is the BEST EVER!!! I ❤
I don’t generally think remakes are as good as the original, but Glen has risen above on this one, but I’m never surprised when it comes to his ability.
What a great talent he was God Bless him
His voice should have been sent out to space.
Wonderful entertainer and guy ..
WONDERFUL!
Jesteś super Glen . Pozdrawiam . Kocham twoja muzykę.
❤la bailaba en un ladrillo con mi compañero de plan básico 1969 El Salvador
Incomparable consummate performer. I may be biased- but Glens cover of any song effectively cancels out all other versions for me.
wow..amazing.. the best version ever...
Dear God, When it is my time to come home let me be in heaven where i can hear your son Glen sing everyday.
I really liked Glen's Cow Poem...lol

He is Just copying Jim Croce when entertaining audiences
Huh? This isn't a Jim Croce song.
Nae bad version. How many people have copied beegees songs too many

WOW,!! GLEN HAD THE VOICE THAT HE COULD MAKE A SONG SOUND BETTER, THAN THE ORIGINAL SINGER!!!
