Grabbing multiple seedlings because you’re to lazy to pot them up all individually, I’ve been there brother
😂
sometimes i just spread the clump out a bit in a tray to give them some breathing room. easy to get carried away sowing more seed than you have space/time for.
Nice, where you get those black containers
the big tub? I got it at a restaurant supply place. its for bus boys
looks like they could be Thelocactus (hamatocactus) setispinus.
possible yeah
any updates on these yearlings?
Nice. Little different from what your normally doing. I like it. Was wondering about how long you should leave them in the pot. Thanks dude.
I agree! 🔥🔥🔥
So nice of you
appreciate you fam
What’s the routine for the repotted seedlings? Like after they are repotted do you just put them back under your grow light? & Does the watering increase?
I got a round cactus from home depot and it seems root bound its october and its an inside plant. Should i repot up a lil bit? Im afraid to mess with the roots😵💫 i dont want to kill it i wish i could show you a picture HELP PLEASE???
Is decomposed granite the same stuff used for walkways and driveways?

I just sowed my first cactus seeds this month, I forgot to write the exact day on it at the time of sowing but I have a mix of seeds from my two old mammillarias, some seeds I bought, and some mystery seeds from a tiny heavily spined dead cactus that came in the pot with a big old Echinopsis eyriesii I got from a yard sale. I think the mystery cactus could have been a mammillaria so I put them in the flat with my other mammillaria seeds since I don't know the species anymore. I'm growing then without a heat mat in the shade on my porch in an plastic muffin box, plastic cookie box, and the little blue plastic boxes mushrooms come in. I sowed my mammillaria seeds first to seed if they'd work and once I saw little green dots I sowed the ones I bought.
What lava rock do you use??
Should try adding some 13-13-13 slow release pellets into your mix.
How big are they now?
WE NEED A UPDATE
Where do you get unigrow? I havent heard of it n cant find it anywhere around here… do you know of something comparable? The stuff i recently got has a lot of wood in it n i just dont like wood in my mix
Great video !
What is the best place to get these 3 1/4 inch pots ?
I have few of these green ones and they seem to be good quality.
good question. I buy them in bulk from a horticultural supply place nearby here in so cal. You can find them online from Ali baba too usually. maybe not the green ones per say but with the supply chain issue these have been hard to find tbh
Great episode on repotting cacti😁🙏And the tip about aiming the roots down when transplanting was a great tip👏Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Obrigado ... sempre aprendo muito com vc
I am growing Ferocactus histrix and Myrtillocactus geometrizans, they are only 3 months old haha I can't wait to report them! :D Greeting from Mexico!
Good luck!
I need your skills for seedlings! Killed too many after they sprouted
keep trying dude. its trail and error

Still waiting and hoping that the mentioned future video about auxins will come some day :)) jejeje
Hi. Great videos you are making👍🏼
I was wondering what soil you use to sow your seeds in? Is it the same as you use in this video?
Kind regards Anders
Hey Hunter! I see you're using those Water Dance 3.25" pots. Are you still able to get those in bulk? I've been trying to find a source of those for a while but I've had no success.
Another great informational video from my favorite UA-camr! ✌
This the same guy that asked if he should keep seedling temp at 80.
I love my mortar mixers for replanting.
Cool shirt ✨🐸✨
Uni-gro mix..can't seem to find it anywhere online, at it doesn't appear they sell it at local stores. What would be a good runner up to use in place of Uni-gro?
really for the most part I imagine a typical cacti and succulent mix would be decent to use in place ofuni-grow. if there's one thing I've learned there is more than one way to skin a cat when it comes to soil mixes. so I'm sure its a safe option to just use what you have available
At what age do you take them out of the bags and have them growing without the humidity? I'm growing a lot of ferocactus species a few golden barrel cultivars and a lot of different melocactus.
I sowed them in a large Tupperware container instead of bags so I could water and spray more easily I started leaving it cracked open at about 2 months by 3 months they were in open air
No glovin’ it like an absolute G. Thanks for another great video brother, really helpful.
No doubt!
Do you know where I could get a monkey tail cactus
are you based in the USA? a buddy of mine grows some..
Nice shirt! We love and respect incilius alavarius here!
right on!
Thank you. I have my first seedlings and need to put into pots and wanted to watch it done before hand.
Glad it was helpful! its a learning experience that just keeps going. Im still trying to figure out hardening off the seedlings too. there is a transition from seedling stage to getting watered like everything else. trail and error
People try turface. Cant EVER over water plants. I use it on everything.
pure turface?
@@CactusQuest I’ve used straight Turface occasionally. It’s OK, but if it goes dry, it can ‘channel’, and then you need to dunk the pot to fully re-wet. I like to mix Turface 50-50 with perlite for rooting cuttings. I’ve used equal parts pumice, Turface and akadama with decent results. Still playing with formulas and ingredients after all these years...
Edit; I’m in NorCal, and a lot of my C&S are outside all year. I grow quite a few Haworthia. There are two ways to protect against wet winters; open, mostly mineral mixes, and tall pots. For a mix with as much organic as yours, I’d have to use a 3x9 Anderson plant band.
