i loved The Cruel Prince, but I definitely felt like the second and third books were better than the first book. The first book just felt so slow. but the second two absolutely made up for it!!! and if you enjoy Uprooted she also wrote another book series called A Deadly Education and it's one of my top favourite series
🐳 Taylor your TBR looks soo good! I also want to read Powerless this year. I read the Cruel Prince trilogy and LOVED it. The second one was my fave! Would love to see a Cruel Prince Reading Vlog if you decide to continue the series. ❤
A reading vlog is a great idea! I’ll def have to do one!! Powerless looks so good 😭👏🏼✨ Here’s your joke: ✨ Why did the fisherman suddenly redirect his boat? Just for the halibut 🤪
Starling House was really good! I’m going to check out the short story you recommended. I also have The Once and Future Witches on my TBR by Alix. I love the variety of books you show!
I've read pretty much all of the Stephanie Plum series, I've got the newest 2 still to read, they are definitely a fun and easy read. I've added the short story to my Goodreads and Starling House is also on my TBR for this year. 🏄🏖️
I grew up in Jersey and I have such a vivid memory of seeing those Janet Evanovich books everywhere. I should read them at some point! I also have Piranesi on my physical tbr! I definitely want to read some Fredrik Backman books this year and probably more horror. I tend to be a mood reader so I don't know what I'll end up reading!
OMG! I LOVE ALI HAZELWOOD!!! 💙💙💙 The Love Hypothesis is like one of the first books that has gotten me into the romance genre!! 💖 It's very nostalgic and special to me! I will always cherish that book 📖💕🌹📚🎆🥳🎉 Hope you're enjoying Love, Theoretically before Bride & Not in Love come out. Happy 2024! ✨ I have a personally fun question for you. How do you feel about romantasy (fantasy romance) becoming so popular on Booktube these days?
Yes! Love Hypothesis was one of my first romance reads and def has a special place in my heart 😭👏🏼✨ Happy 2024 💗 woooooooo! Booktube/booktok tends to follow trends and depending on who you follow you’ll see SO many. Some influencers are only about the romance/dark romance & spice side while others read fantasy/contemporary. To me, I LOVE romantasy and am glad it’s getting more attention! As a fantasy author I’m all for it 😅
🐬🐬🐠🐠🐡🐡🦦🦦 Mistborn is on my TBR too, I have yet to read anything from Sanderson. My first Stephen King was The Shining. I finished it the day before I stayed in a hotel by myself #notplanned 😅😅 It was just a Holiday Inn and I survived 😅😅 My Halloween book last year was Swiftfoot by Brom, so good! It made it to my all time top 10 list! I want to read The Stand this year.
That’s amazing! Definitely adding those to my TBR!! 👏🏼💗 and omg, haha I would have been TERRIFIED staying alone. 🤣 so glad you made it. 👏🏼 Here’s a joke for ya! ✨ Did you hear about the red ship that collided with the blue ship? 🛳️ All the sailors were marooned 🤪
I read some early Stephen Kings, but I had to stop. They creeped me out too much. 😂 My favorite is THE STAND, but that's a massive one to start with. Maybe THE SHINING would be a good starter. Some of my TBRs: ...THERE, THERE ...THE ANTROPOCENE REVIEWED ...THE MYSTERY GUEST ...THE JOY OF COSTCO ... STIFF: THE CURIOUS LIFE OF HUMAN CADAVERS ... DEVOTIONS: THE SELECTED POEMS OF MARY OLIVER No fantasy titles, but I may try one of your recommendations. 🍹🐬🏖️
😅 I love that. My friend recommended The Mist by SK! And Ohmygosh, There, There is such a GREAT book! Here’s your joke: ✨ How does the ocean say hi? It waves 🌊🤪
The Cruel Prince series is so good. It’s my favourite fantasy series and I’m not super into the genre. Jude is half fae actually, and the series is about her trying to belong in that world. And Cardan, well, you’ll make up your own mind about him, but I ended up really liking him.
Two suggestions for Stephen King. The first is The Body. This book was made into the movie 'Stand By Me' in the 80s. The second is The Long Walk. This is a contest. The winner gets whatever they want but in this contest there is no finish line. The winner is the last man standing. Both are good and both are short so they are not a big commitment.
Oh, you have no idea what kind of world you're stepping into with Anne McCaffrey. Try Harper Hall Trilogy of hers, too. Her writing and dragons should not be compared to anything written these days, that's sacrilegious. 🐲 Anne McCaffrey knew how Dragons should be portrayed.
@@TaylorAnnWright The writing is fantastic, great character building, made me WANT a dragon every day for the last 40 years. The White Dragon is a really great place to start. I've read The Harper Hall several times, it's like a warm cozy blanket on a rainy day.
Uprooted sounds wonderful and I’ll be adding that to my read list!❤ Thank you!

I’ve tried a few Fredrick Backman and couldn’t get into it. Let me know if you find one you love! 💗
I added Uprooted to my Amazon wishlist! It sounds so good and the cover is gorgeous 🤩🎣

Uprooted isn't Naomi's best book but I think it's a good intro to her works! She's written His Majesty's Dragon
I’m excited to read more of her work!!!
