Chava & Akiva- When I came on aliyah I got some good advice from an older person. Don't expect too much, so you won't be disappointed when things don't go well. That was the best advice that helped me keep my head when it was hard for me here. It's not America, so don't expect it to be like America. I stuck it out and after 35 years I'm glad I did.
My son just spend the month of August in Israel and just told me the most beautiful thing, he said “ my trip to Israel was good to my soul, I spoke with many people there and to see their strength and joy for life made me feel better “ . We live in London and since the October terror is very upsetting to hear the cowardice of the politicians, the anti-semitismo of the media especially the BBC , the terrorists on the marches calling for our destruction. I am a black Brazilian who converted to Judaism 40 years ago, my daughter did Aliyah 15 years ago, my first granddaughter was born in Tel- Avi. Be prepared to feel the differences, just don’t compare and you will be fine. Your faith will carry you on Hashem is with us all. ❤❤❤❤

Shalom, I hope you get your Mazel Tov letter soon. We made Aliyah 5 weeks ago to RBS Dalet. There is a nice Breslov shul here which I’m going to regularly. Our kids absolutely love it here, and they are integrating very well in the Israeli Haredi schools they are going to.

We just made aliyah liek 5 weeks ago to beit shemesh hoping to bump into u guys u are such inspiration r u coming to bet shemesh ?? Not easy at all the preps the thought and work that goes in but when u focus on seeking the truth hashem helps u and here u literally see the hashgacha nothing like isreal this is the place to be !!!!ur doing this and i feel u everything takes times and patience while writing this we have gone from 1 apt to next but we know were getting closet and closer to settle in !!nothing like living here it just feels liek home cant even pinpoint !!!

Good luck. We are waiting for you here. Too bad about the war though. Hashem has a way of testing our "mesirut nefesh" when it comes to aliyah. I went through it and know that it's not always an easy and smooth journey with all the bureaucracy and more. Waiting to hear your coming good news!

PS: today i had to cover my hair because I was feeling sick (here is the end of Winter) and I use a Beanie type of a thing and I never cover my head because my entire life I felt disconfort with it, it's sort of painful, but the thing is, I was cover head to toes and people gave me this looks 😅😂😂😂😂 oh my! It was hilarious! The fear tho😂

It`s very hard to do what you both are doing. israel is a very hard place to live, people are full of stress, we scream to much, we work like a donkey to gain a basic salary, here is very hot, sometimes israelis are very umpolite .... etc. I wish everything good for all of you, good luck and be welcome!

Have you guys decided where you want to live in Israel?
Please take in consideration that during the fall holidays (which are late this year,) there are many closings and early closings on erev chag and Shabbat. Chol Hamoed, schools are closed as well as government offices. The most important thing is to make sure you arrange everything in advance - even a guest house and rental car till you get settled. Also essential - make sure to bring any professional license/credentials. The reality is that life here is great but not cheap. We are are unfortunately not finished with the war. I respect and understand your emphasis on religious faith but you also should understand that most Israelis, especially now are putting all their dagesh (emphasis) on family, safety, keeping afloat economically as well as maintaining some sort of normalcy. I have been in Israel my entire adult life and would never live anywhere else. Please do understand you should be prepared for real life issues such as the language, schooling, housing and dealing with the the constant news obsession. Much love and good luck from me.❤
