I grew up being taught about tithing 10% of what you earn but as I get older I forgot about this law of God. I often wonder why I'm always short of money and most of the time broke. Thanks for reminding me what I really need to get back into doing. Now I am pledging 20% of all my earnings to any God-centered ministry and to the needy. God said to test Him on this and so I did. I was moved by God to give more this year which is a stretch for me and my family. I'm the main bread winner at the moment, but decided to give 10% on gross not net which is a lot for us. But God has been really good to us. The first day I gave 10%, I prayed with my wife for God to bless the remaining funds he left us. Then right after that prayer as I got ready to take my son to school, I opened the door and someone had placed $400 worth of grocery's on our porch. The amount I tithed that day included what I would have spent for food, but the amount I would have spent wouldn't have bought $400 of food! Oddly enough I've been able to tithe on gross since and after watching this I'm being moved to give even more. Thank you for the video, it's encouraging and is answering my prayer to understand how the kingdom of God truly works.

Wholesalers that she used to work with were tradesmen from Turkish Jewish community. I remember it myself, but when we talk about those days, my mother always remembers those people well, since they had always approached her with feelings of fraternity (like a sister), even though she was Muslim. Again, for those of you who watch this, the real secret to the charity of the Jewish community is that their charity is to themselves and their institutions. If others outside their circle benefit, wonderful, that is icing on the cake, but they help each other first so their circle gains more strength and security. That is why their charity comes with such willingness, such pride, and such energy. All you need if you’re not jewish is to either A) join them in Judaism or B) find or create your own circle.

One thing u have missed that their term of charity is in order to honor Hashem or God by giving His part of the money. Because both in judaism and reformed hristianity, we as humans are God people to do His work on earth..so just like a worker in a grape yard. All of the harvest belongs to Him but He chose to only take 10% for His good. So it is not human centered first but it is God as their foundation. I’m a Muslim and love the nuggets of gold that brother Solomon shares. In Islam we have the same concept of Sadaqah. I was humbled to hear that the same concept of giving exists in the Torah. Giving sincerely and without advertising is absolutely the key to gaining more. I’m against people who show off giving just to gain respect from others. I think giving is between you and God Almighty. So give in abundance and do it without showing anyone but do it humbly to help humanity.
It is in many cultures. And you are right to give sincerely without making a big show of it. Especially if you want to receive the fruits of giving generously. Giving by making a big show of it gets used up by the fame one receives by their boasting.
Jesus said clearly let not your right hand know what your left hand is doing. He stated to give in secret. If you give out for show, you get your reward that way but not in heaven.

I’m not religious at all, I mean, if I had to be completely honest, I reject any form of religion. However, something drew me in to watching this video, and for a video centred around religion, that’s a big ask from me. Even so, I watched the video and I admit, I cried. I cried because I so wish that some miracle would intervene and take me out of my financial troubles. That some higher power would see how I’m struggling, but also see my determination not to quit. I so wish and pray for that helping hand, not to take care of me, but to learn to I can take care of my family. As a Christian, God has proven this secret true in my life as well. After the last time I gave to charity, I'm almost afraid to give again because of the amount of business I received. I didn't even have to work for the deals. I was given multiple accounts and all I had to do was maintain them. I've done the math and God has probably given back 20x more than I gave. Keep in mind these accounts were given to me within a week of me giving to charity. I'd had accounts given to me in the past like this, but never even close to this many all at once. God keeps His Word!

I watch this video last year and started paying 10% from every money I had made and it worked. This year I was awarded a contract for R429 000.00 and even other outstanding payments were paid. As a Muslim I can related to this. The miracle of giving (charity) is absolutely right. When you perform charity (shadaqa), it will be back to you or even more. It is not only in the form of wealth but includes everything that brings benefits to us and we call them as rizq (sustenance).

Being a gentile working for Jewish people for forty years, I have an issue with this narrative. They are very generous in giving to their own as it encourages the energy of the financial flow in their internal money loop. It does not often progress outside of that loop. Not only that they will not include you within their circle when it comes to social events such as weddings even if you have been friends for many years. It is an us and them mentality as a general rule. I am sure I will endure a great deal of criticism for speaking of my life long experience.
No critcism from my side; the state of Israel is not importing countless refugees and they know why, but this weakening of societies is happening all over the Western world. Unity is their strength so diversity is what is propagated for everyone else.

As a Muslim we call this Sadaqa صدقة ,its one of the Pillars of islam. This happened to me this year, i gave a small bunch of money to some poor people, few months after new doors of opportunities opened. Now i am married and i habe a child. I didnt know ever of i can afford having a son, but god gave me more than i need now. Alhamdulillah (thanks god) and thanks to the jewish person for sharing this golden video.
