So, here it is a Quick Look at the RTS Link as it marches across the causeway from Singapore.

It will be a game changer if the borders have been closed all along. But they are not. The borders are already wide open and have always been opened, and everyone can already move to and fro freely. This rail is over-rated. People will just be able to go forward and back faster. Period. Traffic may increase moderately at the beginning (6 months to a year) because of the novelty, but it won't last. Prices in JB will just go up and the poor in Malaysia will become even poorer because they can longer afford the ridiculously inflated prices.
Travel between M'sia & S'pore will certainly be speeded up & the volume of travel will be increased. I hope that both countries will benefit from this change.

But,but there is already a KTMB 5min train from woodlands to Sentral.Around for 100 years
True but it's usually booked weeks in advance and doesn't run anything like enough times a day. And of course it doesn't go on to KL.

The JB LRT is also being planned. I heard the proposal has already been submitted to the federal government.
That would be awesome, JB is not the easiest city to get around
Welcome to the club buddy! 👍 👍 Yes we should be so excited in anticipating its completion, as it will be a real life testimonial on showing that JB needs some local train system that connects all of the satellite towns that are scattered around. It could reduce cars on the roads, hence even lesser traffic jams 👍👍
