💥Decent review, thank you coming from a contractor. The bit should only be sticking out 7/8” Drywall is 1/2” thick and the rest rises on the stud behind it (the smooth tip portion). Do you know where I can get an adapter to go from my 2-1/2” shop vac hose to that small outlet on the dust collector? Makita brand rocks…!!
Great review...looking at getting one of these, not real concerned about the Bluetooth portion of it, but looking more for the brushless version and upgrade over the last version. As of today Home Depot still don't have these on their app so I'll be getting mine from Amazon as well.
Sorry to advice you but, that little thing that you keep referring to as:" an extra bit piece because you wear them out " is a 1/8" chuck to hold 1/8" diameter bits, while the other one that is in the tool presently is for 1/4" bits. If tightened properly, they will likely last much longer than the tool itself.
Hey, no need to be sorry at all! Thanks so much for commenting this because I didn't really know what the peices were for. I had an idea of what they were used for and I made my assumptions from that, but its way better to know the exact use for these chuck attachments. I really appreciate it!
So it does comes with 1/4 and 1/8 bit collets? I just picked up the XOC01Z today from Home Depot and it only has the 1/8 collet! I suspect the 1/4 collet walked and was looking for confirmation that it should also come with 1/4 collet. Going to return it tomorrow. I think I'll upgrade to the brushless version too.
Best cordless rotozip I've ever used. It's very chunky and ugly thoe, specially the part where the Bluetooth module goes. Btw, I don't know who told Makita us drywallers wanted Bluetooth or a vacuum attachment. People who hang drywall all day have no use for gimmicky crap like this. No real drywallers gonna be pushing around a vacuum all day. I can see my cut man ramming the vacuum with a 5/8 inch sheet then proceeding to kick the absolute living sh!t out of it 😂😂🤣🤣🤣. Just give us a motor, a housing, and a button Makita!
They included the vacuum related things for people doing renovations and cuts inside a building being lived in, not everyone wants to leave a work area caked in Drywall dust if it is adjacent to a currently lived in area.
Should have realized drywallers are ball busters. As soon as I saw the mask and ear protection I was like yea kinda pointless review I get the vacuum have had customers flip shit about it and call in a cleaning crew. Some people I’ll tell ya.
Shouldn’t a Drywaller be reviewing this product? No offence but you have no real insight on what works and you need to use a tool for a few days before you can make a proper assessment.

Sorry to advise you but it’s not a chuck. It’s a collet that goes under the chuck collar.
Makita should give new tools to people who can really know how to use them!
Lol same what I was thinking when he started to cut the drywall 😆
