Everybody talks about ph dont forget tensider/surfactants, Surfactants can be divided into two main groups: Natural soap surfactants and synthetic surfactants. Synthetic surfactants are made by chemists and made industrially. Soap scum is made from lye and fat in the form of oil or tallow. Surfactants are asymmetric molecules, i.e. there are two molecules that are very different. One part, hydrophilic, is soluble in water. The other part, lipophilic, is soluble in fat. Since fat is not soluble in water, greasy dirt cannot be washed away with water alone. If, on the other hand, surfactants are added to the water, it will help to dissolve the fat. This is because the lipophilic part of the surfactant molecules is attracted to the greasy dirt and dissolves it. The hydrophilic end faces the water molecules and ensures that the dirt remains floating in the water

If you want to ruin your paint over time on your car you can listen to this guy saying to use Alkaline degreaser
Lots of maintenance pre washes are alkaline ones and they don’t ruin your paint, bern using them for years
@@ImranAli-rp4kd use them for a few more and watch your clear coat haze 😊
Apc on black trim 😂😂😂 yeah good luck with that parole 🤟
I use a presoak formula 570 from warsaw best stuff you can use hands down…
Whats the link for the 570 you used
Yeah an alkaline degreaser is fine… unless you have a ceramic coat. The purpose of a foam cannon is not to wash off all residue… it’s purpose is to loosen residue and particulate so when you go to a 2 bucket wash the particles do not great swirls in your paint
What if I just used Dawn? We have outdoor animals and live on a well.
Most of the time the i use the foam cannon not only to breakdown but to also lubricate
Please don’t do this. You’ll ruin any waxes, sealants , coatings. This is wreckless advice
Use autoglym high foam TFR excellent prewash....
I use road warrior . Along with soap.
I'm pre-washing with a degreaser. I let it soak for 2-3 minutes, I rinse with the pressure washer and then I snow foam my car, I let that sit for maximum 1 minute and then I use my microfiber wash mitt with a bucket, grit guard and clean water...I really think that snow foam is a better and more economical way to apply shampoo to your car...I don't know what you're talking about but clearly you're doing videos just for the sake of making them...
I disagree sincerely as I paint cars for a living! APC cleaners will deteriorate your vehicles clear coat significantly faster as they are stronger. Dilute dilute dilute!!
Exactly 💯 A quality foam will remove a lot of grime first and a second foaming is great for lubrication during a contact wash reducing swirls dramatically.
Foam is basically just for show
I use dawn soap
Totally agree
Ah yes I’ve just spent 8 hours puting multiple coats of wax on my car. Let me just remove all of it with one wash 😂
That’s entirely not taking into account many of us keep wax’s or sealants we don’t want to strip off Every Time we wash our car… opinion ignored.
Dude if people use degreaser on the car all the plastic panels and sensitive areas will damage The color
yeah but it's fun
I use dark fury
I use a degreaser for my pre wash always
That shit will strip tf out of your waxes
That's bs man, especially if u don't want to strip down any previous protection on the vehicle. The suds in the foam actually help lift light dirt and debris from the paint without destroying the existing protection. Sure degrease the whole vehicle and strip all of existing protection on the vehicle. Hate to see how u maintain a customers ceramic coated car..
You have to watch the PH level so you don't chalk the car.
A degreaser lmao wtf we cleaning a jeep with so much mud you cant see the paint? zero need for a degreaser on a damn cars paint..a high ph foam is plenty for a pre wash stage.
Never use foam cannon maybe when I was green but as a professional foam cannons are not in my arsenal
I wash my white car with a little bit of dish soap. It gets the car MUCH cleaner than car wash soaps. It gets the grease and tar off better. Only takes 5 minutes to "re-wax" with something like Turtle Wax Flex Wax or Graphene.
Don’t do that it wear thru the clear coat
@@vmonroig21I don't see how. There is zero abrasion in dish soap. Compare it to going over it with a DA, rubbing it thousands of times with an abrasive liquid to do paint correction.

Except when is a ceramic coated vehicle. In that case you should use PH neutral soap in the foam cannon
A quality ceramic coating can withstand pretty harsh chemicals
@@monsterenergy881 True. Do you think its still good practice to use a less aggressive soap to maintain the integrity of the coating longer?
Just got my pressure washer what's next ? Any eco chemicals out there for inside and out
It's for entertainment purposes
Yea but you thus is probably the number 1 attraction for potential customers. They see you foam up a car, EVERYBODY is looking. Waste of time my ass
You talk so so fast.... I am 43 and have lived in the US my whole life and I have to concentrate to understand you.. God have mercy on the people with English as their second language! HA
It's better than turning a youtube short into a 15-minute video because people don't want to try hard enough.
They know, but are you a real detailer to customer Joe Smith if he doesn’t see the lather?!
😂😢 omg!!! Somebody slap this guy. FOH
Just Keep your thinking where the sun don't shine boy
It’s true, soap is a horrible lubricant. There’s reason people use it is because it’s been around for so long.
BS a quality soap is a great lubrication reducing wash induced swirls.
@@OZIPUG1970 - Not as good as rinseless. Doesn’t have the polymer protection.
Just use a soft brush after foam cannon. Then it's okay.
Never use a brush on a car only microfiber
@@Nissan370_z I intended to mean it.
Don’t listen to this dude lmao 🤣 I’m being serious don’t you guys use your foam cannons if y’all want to
You need to learn about bilt hamber…
Wilson out here putting them myths on blast. F ur foam and feelings.
Facts only.
A foam is a great lubrication to reduce swirls during contact wash. And a citrus foam removes a lot of grime.
I'm a high end detailer and this guy wouldn't touch any of my customers cars.
