  • I finally assembled all the parts of my new router table and mounted my Triton TRA001 router to it.
I'm VERY pleased with this setup and in this video I'll cover mostly the table itself and it's accessories. In a future video I plan to review the actual router itself but for now there's plenty to be said about the table and it's accessories.
Here are some links to the table and it's accessories :

HI. Great video, thanks, but just a point...at around 14:40 you mention 'this little doohicky' for lifting off the plate. I think it is more used as a guide when running smaller pieces past when you have a roller bearing bit in, such as a round-over bit. Give it a test and you'll see what I mean.

Oh man! haha. That makes a lot more sense. I'm still learning how to use this thing. Thanks for pointing that out. I'm gonna pin your comment so others can see that.

@@diytoolreviews8278 No worries mate. UA-cam at its best, helping us all to learn new tricks. Don't know where I'd be without it. Keep up the videos.

Yep. Not at all for lifting the plate. It helps prevent kickback of you aren’t using the fin either with a bearing bit or template bit.

I just bought this exact setup - thank you for the video. I too wish they would have the lift hole in the plate, but I’m gonna try your method of attaching. I had the same issue putting it all together. Thanks again!

Thank you for this informative video. The actual size of the bit is 29/64. I measured placement by attaching the router to the baseplate and marking the notch in the router on the back of the baseplate.

I just got it installed today. Took me a solid hour to get the aluminum pro plate leveled so I didn’t want to take it back off. I just drilled out a larger hole then used some dry lube to prevent the handle from bonding and filled it with jb weld. Worked great and because the plate and jb weld are both black... don’t notice it

Triton messed up though.. the 1/2” collet included was actually 12mm collet. Couldn’t get a bit in. Was pretty pissed

Can you please tell me how you figured out where to drill the hole for the height adjuster??

Did you have any problem with the bolts that were supplied with the insert plate that held the router on to the plate being too small to support the triton router? The bolt head just seems too small. It looks like they may pull through the plate. I have not tried it.

I just came to the same realization about the plate. I figured the lift arm hole would be there since the plate was for the triton. Any pointers on drilling that hole for the lift arm? Measurements etc?

I just tackled this today. I punched a rough estimate then drilled a larger hole to guarantee proper alignment. Sprayed some dry lube so the handle wouldn’t stick and filled around it with JB Weld. The plate and the JB Weld are both black so you don’t even notice it. Worked out well for me and was simple to do.

Hey great review 😊 What do you think about the phenol router plate, is it stiff enough or do you think aluminum would have been better?

    • @diytoolreviews8278

I'm sure Aluminum would be better but this phenol works well enough in my opinion. If you sent the adjustment screws well then I think there's plenty of support ...

So, you bought a router table to build things but you had trouble building it? You need a different hobby...

After seeing that mess , tools. Parts, open boxes laying everywhere. Do you really think I am going to listen to anything you want to offer ? I am a carpenter and if my work area was allowed to get as trashed as your garage floor , I would not last out the day. I would be fired. If you are going to make videos I suggest you clean up your space to at least look a bit more professional.
