I think this would be the best middle ground for people that want a tablet with a display but a) don't want to use a cheap one and b) don't have the money for a Cintiq. You get the benefit of being able to draw directly on a surface, but you still have the flexibility of editing it later in Photoshop.
If you're looking for a cheaper display tablet, the Huion Kamvas series are pretty good quality. Maybe not as good as a Cintiq, but also not as expensive
@@milkntomatoes9418
True, good for entry level stuff. Still a bit expensive for me so I'm thinking of going with a Huion Inspiroy Ink but Kamvas is a good upgrade
@@kotarodesu_23 I have the inspiroy ink, really good tablet honestly. I personally don't really have the space for a fancy pants screen tablet rn so it's perfect and I personally like keeping it simple

@@Geth270 dunno man, haven't had problems with either of my Kamvases yet. I've historically had more issues with Wacom tablets, and don't think that Wacom deserves to be the industry standard. Huion is a competitor, not a knock off. It's not trying to be a Wacom.
As someone who likes to draw traditionally and digitally, this seems like the best thing ever. I'm gonna save up to buy one.

That what money does
It's illegal to not be honest about a brand deal and plus he has to actually sell us the product.
Also huion doesn't mind. They genuinely care about the honest feedback and any criticisms they receive, they take it into account and make improvements to future models to correct it

Actually that the difference between a good anime style and a bad style. Anime is simplification of realistic drawing to make it easier to animated. It is not the discarding of all art rules and theory. Yes there some who aren't good. Like One's One punch man. But there some that are well designed. Like the Yusuke Murata's adaptation of One punch man. Actually a lot of time I find anime/manga artstyle more realistic than western animation especially American cartoons like fairy odds parents or Popeye.

Not gonna lie, I think I prefer the piece with the "rough" shading of the traditional piece layered onto the digital piece, it was a really dope blend of traditional and digital and looks really cool.
Maybe if you still have the ability to do so you could share how the completed digital piece looks with the more rough shading? 🙏 (dunno if you irreversibly changed it?)

Honestly I love this. Its been a few years since I worked digitally but I always found sketching difficult digitally and often needed to sketch on paper first. Scan or photograph it, then carefully do the line work over it (which never looked as nice as the original lines). This is actually so handy bc I have trouble with line art in digital programs because my hand isn't as steady as it is on paper. This would be a great solution for me for my sketches etc.
Have you tried taping a piece of paper over your current tablet and use that with your stylus? I used to do that with my old Wacom Graphire 2 tablet because the tablet surface was super slippy. It does wear your nibs down slightly quicker but you get that tactile feeling of drawing on paper.
ooooo! i,, actually never tried that. aa
Heya! I want to give a bit of a warning about that; products like this are notorious for actually giving fairly unsteady/jittery lines on the digital side (you can see it in Jazza's, too, it shows especially in the face)--they've been around for probably near a decade now, and have gotten a lot better over time, but if you're looking for it to help your digital steadiness, this might not hit the mark! There are some great digital stabilizers available out there though that might be a great help; Lazy Nezumi is a big one! :)
If you use an iPad or any tablet you could use a screen saver that has the texture of paper.
You could use the tools in the app as well to have cleaner lines, use that for a week and maybe it could help
The shading brings it to a whole new level.
jazza: *makes 2 mastepieces at the same time*

I love this kind of content from you, it was really chill and calm and you just drew a piece of art, i liked both the traditional and digital equally but really enjoyed this vid and would love to see more of you just drawing or painting a piece of art whether its an OC or fan art it doesnt matter but maybe use your app to start making ocs and promote your app a bit more after the big overhaul :).
This sounds perfect for me omggg. Like for my art class, I do a lot of digital art and drawing it again traditionally for my sketchbook is kind of annoying so doing this would be amazing. A Spooky Child I don’t have anything like that which rlly sucks. There is one in school but I can’t go in bc of COVID and even if I could they have a credits system where you can only use it a certain amount of times. They should make a more refined higher quality version of this. “It’s only the difference of 10 minutes!”
Maybe for you it is...
Personally I felt the traditional looked so much better, I'm not sure why but the digital linework just looked, 'off' to me
they are too clean is the issue. It's sort of like the Uncanny valley but slightly different
I think artwork looks better when it's sketchy and imperfect :) The digital was clean cut and sharp. The traditional had more of a texture to it with the streak lines of the pen, making it contrast. That's probably why it threw you off
Same.happens with me. I am new to pen tablet just 1 month before started . Yesterday I made a rough sketch then traced it with pen brush option in different layer. But when j looked at the only that layer removing the rough layer it had same problem. I don't know how to proceed doing line work better if I don't like the line work option. I think my next move will be drawing with thick lines let's see
The lines all had the same weight in digital.
Goku looks happy in that artwork, it looks like he is extremely excited for somthing

Daily Doodle it is rude to advertise on someone else’s channel unless given permission
Well excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me princess
We all know that we want something that converts are digital drawings into paper.
Oh yeah a printer.
The thing I feel trips me and a lot of novice tablet users up is how you cant see in real time really what you are drawing and its trippy. This invention basically solves that issue. Thanks, for making me regret getting the wacom.
I always love how Jazza is energetic on his videos. Even if he says he's done with a specific art mat.
Didn’t Wacom make a tablet like this a while ago
Intuos Paper? That existed a few years ago iirc but I think it only meant to work on a dedicated program (Wacom Inkspace)
Kogami Not that long ago. Intuos Pro paper editions came out 3 years ago and are still being sold today.
@@memecita Ah, thanks for that. I know Jazza made a video on that with his older format so I got confused lol
Kogami it does work only with Inkspace but you can add layers, and export to various formats that could be imported to photoshop etc. Also you can take the intuos pro paper on a field trip say without the need for a PC as it gets saved to the tablets memory and syncs when you get back to your desk. And Jazza did review it 3 years ago. Wacom did release a clip board that also works similarly.
Ngl I love these more ig “tutorial/art stuff”(idk how to describe it) style videos! Not that I didn’t like the other ones, I just personally appeal to these ones more
I LOVE Huion products! I dreamed of a drawing tablet for years, and I do mean years! Thank GOD for Huion and great sales. Ive got an awesome 19" drawing monitor and I didn't have to sell a kidney, lol.
I have to say... Honestly, I'm a touch disappointed by Huion and their Scribo. I was hoping this'd be an improvement on a similar concept that is almost half a decade old. Namely: Wacom Bamboo Spark.
The Spark was a gift I received because I spend a lot of time in public transit, in class and in bed doodling. The concept behind it was that you had what was essentially a book with a notepad in it, and if you wrote or drew in it, the result would transfer to an app on you phone, tablet or PC. As a bonus, you could save your drawings on it for later if you couldn't use other electronics at the moment, hitting a new page button whenever you wanted to start a new drawing, then uploading them all when you had your devices again. Now admittedly, there are improvements with the scribe (most notably, the fact that you aren't limited to Inkspace), but they are small and few. Even the price isn't really an improvement, because while the Spark was more expensive, it came with a tablet.
One of the biggest issue I have is the same reason I returned the Spark: The fact that there is no alignment/holding tool. If you're drawing, you have to tape your pages to the device, because if you don't the slightest jostle will permanently throw off your digital piece, and without guides, you have no hope of realignment. I ruined many pieces on the spark because I lightly jostled the notebook in its pouch during travel, throwing every future line off. The only use I had for it in the end was notetaking.
But then, Scribo is not a travel tool, so why am I bringing this up? To point out my other big issue: Scribo cannot, on it's own merit, be used during travel, or in environments where you don't have access to your regular art tools. Outside of the capacity for use with more art programs and more surfaces (in that you have different tablet sizes to work with, if you have different tablets), it is functionally of less use than a device released half a decade ago, and doesn't resolve any issues that device had.
Maybe I'm missing something, but it just doesn't seem to hold any appeal compared to some of their other ventures.
Glad you said this cause I 101% agree with all of this
For the stability of the paper, an option is to purchase an animation peg bar and tape it onto the tablet and place your paper onto it. However, that would mean having to invest in a puncher which aren't cheap.
@@noneofyourbiz5973 Right. I have a few art friends who make setups like that with their art tools, and I appreciate the suggestion (though it doesn't matter to me, as I have no intention to use either product I mentioned above)!
The issue, however, is that that doesn't change the fact that you have to invest extra funds into solving the biggest issue in a product who's concept is at least half a decade old. I cannot judge the Scribo too hard because it is just a pen, and expecting a tablet enhancement to come with a pen rather than a tablet is silly, but the fact is, it brings virtually nothing new to the table, and if it was a pen-and-tablet combo that did what this pen does, I would be lambasting it hard.
Hopefully they will provide a product which brings more in the future.
"With precision.."

Yo, Jazza! I'm not a great artist and I really shouldn't be giving you tips, but I noticed that when you inverted the empty-space selection for your mask, you didn't change any of the parameters. When I do this, I tend to expand the selection by a few pixels before I invert it so that when it has been inverted, there is no overlap around the outer linework. Just a quick tip I found useful!

I like the traditional better obviously bc he has more control over the lines and shading, BUT!! this is revolutionary! It's time efficient in the sense that you can do the rough and digital base base drawing at the same time.
