I think this would be the best middle ground for people that want a tablet with a display but a) don't want to use a cheap one and b) don't have the money for a Cintiq. You get the benefit of being able to draw directly on a surface, but you still have the flexibility of editing it later in Photoshop.
If you're looking for a cheaper display tablet, the Huion Kamvas series are pretty good quality. Maybe not as good as a Cintiq, but also not as expensive
@@milkntomatoes9418
True, good for entry level stuff. Still a bit expensive for me so I'm thinking of going with a Huion Inspiroy Ink but Kamvas is a good upgrade
@@kotarodesu_23 I have the inspiroy ink, really good tablet honestly. I personally don't really have the space for a fancy pants screen tablet rn so it's perfect and I personally like keeping it simple
@@DarkRose407
That's very reassuring to hear lol, I tend to get paranoid and pressured with different contradicting reviews because sometimes they're sponsored or they're biased towards a different brand so hearing it from people like me who aren't well known reassures me
@@xXGeth270Xx dunno man, haven't had problems with either of my Kamvases yet. I've historically had more issues with Wacom tablets, and don't think that Wacom deserves to be the industry standard. Huion is a competitor, not a knock off. It's not trying to be a Wacom.
I really love this direction Jazza's going, it feels really genuine but we still get that good old Jazza excitement

"I am obviously biased" - Love the Transparency 😂
I love how he admits that he's biased and doesn't care that we know he's getting paid and all that. Most UA-camrs would try to draw away from the fact that they're getting paid to say good things about the product, but Jazza does the opposite.
yup
That what money does
It's illegal to not be honest about a brand deal and plus he has to actually sell us the product.
Also huion doesn't mind. They genuinely care about the honest feedback and any criticisms they receive, they take it into account and make improvements to future models to correct it
Even so, I'm still able to see how amazing the pen is and the potential it has. Imagine that! You don't need to try fooling people into buying your product if it really delivers what's promising.
I thought at first this was just a fun gimmick but I think Huion did something really clever with this. Instead of having the big cost that comes with a display tablet they're allowing you to see what you're drawing but on paper.
I like the fact that they waited to see how the wacom sketch pad pro and intuos pro paper turned out first.
lol
I fell like this would be a great addition for someone who has a good background in traditional art and is looking for something to help them get into digital art!

@@alexandramcginnis8872 I just had a sandwich lol
Actually that the difference between a good anime style and a bad style. Anime is simplification of realistic drawing to make it easier to animated. It is not the discarding of all art rules and theory. Yes there some who aren't good. Like One's One punch man. But there some that are well designed. Like the Yusuke Murata's adaptation of One punch man. Actually a lot of time I find anime/manga artstyle more realistic than western animation especially American cartoons like fairy odds parents or Popeye.

Not gonna lie, I think I prefer the piece with the "rough" shading of the traditional piece layered onto the digital piece, it was a really dope blend of traditional and digital and looks really cool.
Maybe if you still have the ability to do so you could share how the completed digital piece looks with the more rough shading? 🙏 (dunno if you irreversibly changed it?)

I'm happy to say that ur the first person I saw with a digital tablet when I was starting art and after years I can proudly say that I got one and I'm now practicing alot on my parents laptop so thx for teaching me for years!
This looks like a novelty product. I probably gonna be too scared to use it, thinking if forgot to change the nibs before using it on tablet.
True that, The yoga book is like this and I hardly use it. It's just unnatural to draw or do anything with it.
But I see it being used by artists like Kim jung gi.
I mean, just test it on your finger first or on your hand before using it- but yeah, I see what you’re getting at
@@clouds-8668 most drawing tablets don't work like that

AstrosGamer I didn’t mean the actual drawing tablet pen tip, I meant the pen tip that has ink. I don’t think any drawing tablet pens work like that lmao-
I thought one side would be a pen and the other would be a stylus
Or like these multi pens you find at a toy store ( those with 30 pens in one big pen like case in which you slide your colour out to write with (having a pen nib/stylus nib and a reserve nib to slide out)
thats actually smarter, this pen needs to get changed every time

Ur cracked at fortnite
Yh u r really good
This is actually so handy bc I have trouble with line art in digital programs because my hand isn't as steady as it is on paper. This would be a great solution for me for my sketches etc.
Have you tried taping a piece of paper over your current tablet and use that with your stylus? I used to do that with my old Wacom Graphire 2 tablet because the tablet surface was super slippy. It does wear your nibs down slightly quicker but you get that tactile feeling of drawing on paper.
ooooo! i,, actually never tried that. aa
Heya! I want to give a bit of a warning about that; products like this are notorious for actually giving fairly unsteady/jittery lines on the digital side (you can see it in Jazza's, too, it shows especially in the face)--they've been around for probably near a decade now, and have gotten a lot better over time, but if you're looking for it to help your digital steadiness, this might not hit the mark! There are some great digital stabilizers available out there though that might be a great help; Lazy Nezumi is a big one! :)
If you use an iPad or any tablet you could use a screen saver that has the texture of paper.
You could use the tools in the app as well to have cleaner lines, use that for a week and maybe it could help
The shading brings it to a whole new level.
Honestly I love this. Its been a few years since I worked digitally but I always found sketching difficult digitally and often needed to sketch on paper first. Scan or photograph it, then carefully do the line work over it (which never looked as nice as the original lines). So I love that this gives you a traditional copy and allows you to qork that way while also giving you wuick digital lines to work with!

This has been done before, Lenovo and Wacom did this years ago
The product itself isn't really that new. Wacom did the exact same things years ago. The new thing which kind of makes this way better and more interesting is that huion sells just the pen and it's compatible with every tablet of theirs (at least that what it sounded like) which means it's way cheaper to actually use it making it actually useful since the main advantage this thing bring (at least in my opinion) is helping people transitioning from only drawing traditionally to drawing digitally
Anyways have fun once you get a tablet and the pen :)
