Sorry mate to chime in but pressing bearings in with straight across plate like you did still leaves error for brinelling due to pressure on the inner race. Pressing on the outter race ( or using specific bearing tool) is the only way to not wreck a brand new bearing.
You’re describing a hollowed tool, correct? While I understand what you’re saying, I don’t necessary agree that using a straight across plate is any better or worse that a hollowed tool. We’ve used this method successfully for thousands of bearing replacements over the span of years without ever wrecking a bearing. There are more than one ways to get a job done successfully!
FM did the same Shiz with my Pint X hub bolts! I couldnt get them off to install enduro tire! Fm used a entire bottle of lock tight on my bolts! Even stripped one
@@onestopboardshop yes thanks for asking i had to have my mechanic friend with snap on impact to take it off cause it was stripping for me! Enduro tire and life savers later mad happy and bolts on nice for those new wtf rails LOL Appreciate the ask
I have been searching and searching can anyone please help me to find the right thing to use to put between the ram and the bearing to press it in without ruining the bearing I have been without my wheel for far too long it's depressing anyone help is appreciated thanks!
