Meike stepping into the Pro series is impressive, but I’ve been loving TTArtisan’s 56mm f/1.8 AF. The autofocus is snappy, and the image quality is superb for the price. It’s a great alternative if you’re looking for something budget-friendly.
That lens is for APS-C cameras, I reviewed it when it came out. This is a full frame lens. But if you want to compare, the Meike lens is better in every way.
A unique focal length and outstanding performance, meike Is on something on this one . Let’s hope they fill some gaps missing on the Nikon lineup like the 105 1.4 and 28mm 1.4 .
Interesting, one of my favorite vintage lenses is the M42 Takumar 55 1.8 with its size, but the aperture has become gummy unfortunately. Wonder if this will be for me in the future
Did not even know this existed! Glad it came across my feed! Thanks for the top review!
I am glad my video was helpful!
I use it for weddings! Happy with the results. Review the 85mm Pro next please.

It is a really nice lens! A 28mm f1.4 would be nice!
thanks!
My pleasure!
I like this lens. Is it light ? It seems massive. Great review bro
Thank you! It is not big and it weighs 360g.
Just ordered one and very excited! Looking forward for these pro line of meike lenses. Will you be doing a review for 85mm pro line as well?
Great! Yes, but I dont know when exactly.
@AndreiDimaReviews Awesome! Hope it's great too :)
@ That’s awesome. I’ll look forward for it!
Great photos!
How would you compare this lense's colour rendering and sharpness to the Zeiss 55mm f1.8?
Thank you! I never used the Zeiss 55mm f1.8. I only have the 32mm f1.8 for the Fujifilm X mount.
What kind of camera strap is this?

Super, Andrei 🙂
Thank you!

You should give it a try
i just got a Nikon Zf and I don’t know which lens to buy, would you say this one is worth it over the Nikkor Z 50mm f1.8?
I like this one more.
what is the difference with meike 50mm f1.8 non pro?
Better image quality, build quality, it has an aperture ring and better autofocus for video.
How about 7artisan F1.8 AF metal build 💯
This has better AF and image quality. Also a metal body is not always a good thing.
Can you think of a lens that's comparable to this one?
For Nikon, there is the 50mm f/1.8; for Sony, there is the Sonnar 55mm f/1.8; for the L-mount, there is the Panasonic Lumix S 50mm f/1.8.
